Tbh I think fair price for Roo at the moment is £1.60 - £1.80, although £1.40 would be bargain, it's too high currently. Lockdown's easing so less orders being given to riders as children going back to school. If you see the Facebook group posts, riders reporting getting onboarded then facing issues with ordering core kit or documents showing as completed but still unable to log on.
I like what you did there with the words without being censored lol
tbh I'm getting frustrated too, seems to be taking ages. I have never seen a share where they have been unable to sell meaningful amounts when it was world class.
Actually the reason why a rider works with JustEat is because they get paid more per order. Working for Deliveroo is just an additional source of income. Deliveroo have kept their commission to restaurants at 35 % whilst educing order fees to riders. Many couriers I know who ride with Deliveroo do so because it is easier to commit insurance fraud with them, many people are not properly insured as Deliveroo rapidly on-boarding & not checking documents properly. Right now there is a crack down happening with rental accounts & in a few weeks quite a few riders will have their supplier agreements terminated when Roo implement facial recognition technologies & other measures which are too lengthy to discuss. There is going to be a huge surge in orders for Summer, but huge imbalance in supply. Many rental accounts will be gone, so original owner who is not Roo rider will have no-one not eligible to work in UK to sell his account too to make money. You can say they are reluctantly cleaning up & its mainly due to rental accounts stealing orders. They collect the order then cancel & its a huge problem as entire groups are doing it. Roo have no proof the order was collected as the rider is free to cancel anytime before he picks up & these rentals are going to people from EU who then go back. So Roo having to continually reimburse restaurants to make food again.
Looks like Gold standard PCR will become mandatory for all returning travellers from May 17 & more destinations will be opened up in June .... GDR????...

India has run out of vaccines for at least 3 days & there is an acute shortage of Covid tests available, this is about to go Armageddon for GDR & make it a major player in India.

It used to be a great company, I chose them as I recognised them as being a technology company rather than a simple delivery company. I recognised it would be easier to make money using their app as opposed to others & initially I was right. However, they took advantage of the pandemic & recruited more people than they needed, leaving many people on a cliff edge. If you look at some of the Facebook groups specifically associated with ROO, there are huge backlogs of many people still waiting 8-9months to join. Once this Pandemic eases, many people will have abandoned waiting for their applications or moved on. That means less people delivering orders & less profits.
I am a current rider for Deliveroo & have been for a few years now' I also am an investor. This price will go lower as the greed of this company has overshadowed its riders loyalty to it. They charge restaurants 30 % - 35 %, commission and lower rider fees simultaneously. I am losing around a £100 p/week compared to what I used to get paid. Summer is approaching & orders will increase, but as JustEat is re-expanding riders will naturally go to the company paying the most money. There exists no loyalty to a company which clearly exploits you; you only care about whose giving the most fees per order. If JustEat gains enough traction again in UK & starts paying more. Many riders will Jump ship & abandon Deliveroo with not even a days notice, since we are self-employed there is no notice period, just switch off the app that simple. If there are wide-spread protests in summer Deliveroo ill need to burn more cash to bring riders onto the roads. The tactics they have started to use against paying us fairly has meant we also don't do things by the book & when Deliveroo requires a favour from us in re-delivering an order when customer has not collected, we screw them over & refuse to help. NO LOYALTY.

People who are vaccinated will still need minimum 2 tests when they fly & return to UK.
Some people seem to have forgotten Covid will be around for a long time. That means when the economy re-opens & someone in an office or workplace gets Covid, everyone at work will need to get tested as well as the people they have come into contact with. Imagine that on a Global scale?
This market is just getting started as the economy opens up. Covid cases will rise dramatically as people have been primarily shielding at home & at some point will need to start mixing with society again.

when you try to develop vaccines too quickly without due diligence. Covid tests are here to stay.
