"Now if I could filter by content as well, then all mention of him would disappear from my life ... oh, and wouldn't that be bliss?"
Well, we could all report his posts since as I noted before he breaks posting rules all the time. But maybe it's better for people who think like he does to have some outlet, and this one isn't really doing us much harm. At least, that's my view FWIW.
You said this before LA
Thirdly, reading through the RNS's for directors dealings reveals that some of the higher ups bought shares, some at reduced prices ... however ... DJ was *given* 482,000 shares and JF was *given* 55,000 shares ... these easily swamp those bought by the employees and were funded directly by share dilution of our holdings.
And that's just with a cursory glance over the easily accessible public figures for the last 6 months.
Your belief in the redistribution of company profits to the employees is very touching ... but when I see DJ receiving 12 million pounds worth of shares and no evidence of the employees receiving anything I must say that I don't share your belief.

More people thinking things have gone badly wrong and against society best interests

My own opinion as someone who modelled why we should have built energy ( instead of rescue landlords) back in 2003 is that of someone pointing out the sheer unfairness and stupidity of having a sector of society whose assets are undeniably backstopped by the state (tax payer) . When these property asset prices are threatened taxes increase and progress and security are delayed or cancelled. I, for one, cannot accept that and I don't care what you call me or how nany there are of you .
The only answer and for future generations is for the big landlords/religions/crown estate to apologise for unnecessary austerity, be brought down to size (ie words and platitudes not enough for real british people), Suffer losses, 50% of assets redistributed by lottery and locked in to protect house prices, for austerity to then be cancelled and the sensible infrastructure build decades late. Oh yes and recover all the builder, builder supply, banker, etc cheating bonuses. Doubel hello moment for property elite- the diverse economy completely rescued you so WHY you think squeezing it dry a godly fair idea
My one, and only, complaint about the chat filtering system on the LSE site is that there's no provision to filter messages based on content.
Mercifully, I now don't see what that timewaster Exstatex posts ... I have all the postings filtered out by the site ... but sadly I still see folks replies to him, many of which actually mention him by name. Now if I could filter by content as well, then all mention of him would disappear from my life ... oh, and wouldn't that be bliss?
Did they teach you about paragraphs at school ?
I think builder execs are guilty of 'financial terrorism' against the tax payer. I don't like apologists and i expect decent people turned a blind eye 90 years ago in a certain euro country. The small print was against them! What some people here don't seem to understand is there is no small print in a democracy saying population have to accept shoddy substandard behaviour from those in authority or responsibility. Let's discuss who benefited from austerity taxes(£1-2 trillion). Multinationals assets and debt bailed out- but they return less tax! Crown estate and big landlords fully asset value rescued- however they made no sacrifices and then invested less than most other sectors. Personally i think this was bad deal for tax payer and why i refuse pay more tax and why passport going in river a.s.a.p! I continue to try to understand why big landlords property prices and assets were fully completely rescued (incl religions assets) and suffered no losses (50% min would have been fair). Obviously implication is that politicians are servants of above but also how terrible /devastating it would be for a landlord of say 40 properties to be reduced to owning only 20. How would they cope? Maybe their world would collapse and they could become aggressive (or hissy then agressive!) On other hand scientist or engineer whose work is delayed/cancelled (ref global warming work and vv inability to source funds due austerity) he/she just goes away thinking they were at fault and 'timing' wrong!! ie non-agg.
Which brings to other point. 'there is no small print in democracy saying assets of one particular sector have to be bailed out above any other (+transfer losses/hardship to other sectors). I think this logic error is behind Builder execs thinking their immoral bonus small print was valid. Also (highly relevent) why one unexpalining being perhaps thought that (1)diverting 100m (2) offering take little less (of more expensive options) , (3) fobbing off with talk of charity donation could run as main chance? Ans to apologists!- even if lost jobs do they really care anymore about work and what sort of example is that? Fair Q- are masons involved? Did crown estate execs also get bonuses? It's very clear to me that crises are now defacto taken advantage of to increase wealth division and scuttle any remedies/action required. This too is illogical because all beneficiaries could think of was raising taxes so what purpose it serves country to make them richer-plain barmy! Atb tmt - shocked by your outburst, hope better
That is the old flybe or old royal bank of scotland or amazon. I think the current psn are doing a great job , especially compared with the 3 companies I have just listed oh and as a bonus no sweat shop labour in the far east .
Hi, Nige
Just so glad I'm out of the mire. There is so much kidology on this bb. Putting sloppy work right on this scale costs mega bucks, and could take years as more 'faults' materialize. No one knows what the final cost will be. And how deeply it will dent the company's 'fundamentals'. Look at the financial state Lloyds is currently in after paying out years and years of compensation, and you can bet your bottom dollar who will pay for it: the same people who were swindled in the first place. You can look at this thru rose-tinted glasses all you like and convince yourself it all will end well and soon. And I wish I could believe that. But my gut tells me different. And you know how well I respect my gut. Almost as much as you do your graphs. lol
