Also some institutional fund money going into POLY here is the link with the funds https://fintel.io/so/uk/poly
Definitely buy, I agree 100%
With the Bank of America raising its forecast to $3000 per ounce during the next 18 months we should dump all our other stocks and buy in here. Nothing can beat gold. It is better and safer than bitcoin which is based on sweet Fanny Adams.
My other favourite gold stock is Highland Gold which has been performing very well.
Don't neglect Greatland Gold as a brilliant wee cheapy.
i think the message here is BUY BUY BUY.
Looks a bit top heavy to me as gold tailing off and debt increasing
yes and POLY has gone up 50% in a month
UBS RAISES POLYMETAL PRICE TARGET TO 1700 (1500) PENCE - 'BUY'
Monday 20 April
Polymetal Q1 Production Results
Hi Dartron - HGM is my 'second string' to POLY, fwiw - I only have these two 'goldies' currently and think that they are amongst the best producers right now, with HGM reporting further progress yesterday and a third interim divd, too - sasa,
I ended up buying some HGM instead, to spread my investment a little, since POLY makes up 13% of my investment. HGM also up 4% today and on track for a dividend. I sold out some Aviva, just wish I had sold more of it. Oh well.
Hi Fallingk - it's picked up most of yesterday's fall so far this morning, as you'll know...
The exd date is scheduled for 7th May (42c / 33p odd) and is due to be paid on the 29th May - all looks pretty set fair, especially if AU extends its run - sasa.
Told you it was bad ass. No all kidding aside, I am very tempted to invest more here. Sold a few other shares at a loss today, if the opportunity is right tomorrow I will buy more. Also think it is unlikely the dividend will be cut here.
No worries Sasa. Got caught on the spike yesterday and all its 24 carat gains from yesterday morning have vanished. I think POLY is a robust business and will be buying more next month again. Going to very volatile I should think so I will be keeping a close eye on my averages.
funny as fark, amigo
Okay, Fallingk - thanks for explaining that; wasn't familiar with the lingo - more familiar with the stock... sasa.
Sasa by badass he actually means it is good. Hence why he is thinking of adding. Looking strong again today with gold showing its true lustre. Added again this morning as this is performing well in a time where many shares are floundering,
'This is one bad ass share,' you say, Dartron - don't get that remark, tbh, especially as you wonder whether it's worth adding to your recent position where you're up 100p ps already? Care to elucidate? - sasa.
Bought in late February @1410. This is one bad ass share. Is it worth adding at this price?
This now 1497p - never stops rising. I have been releasing some shares on the way up to generate much needed cash - congrats to those who have held tight the whole way......
Over 1700 - but I think those buying poly have known this was coming - I was hoping I would be able to hold on for it - but actually it's been a relatively smooth ride.
Sasa4,
I think you might be correct. The movement on some other PM holdings has been very erratic now that the direct correlation with the price of gold has weakened. So basically we can thank the machines that now have so much influence over the SE for the steady rise in POLY.
Gold on it's way back up again now...
Poly one to be in for sure...
Maybe 'cos it's the only one in the FTSE100, Marty - if gold is perceived to be going up, the Instos / trackers will be interested in this, given its status, especially the latter...
Just my take, anyway, fwiw... - sasa.
Still thankfully my core gold holding on LSE but now that PM mining prices have broken from the price of gold, I do have to wonder why POLY continues upwards in such a steady fashion (some small dips along the way but soon recovered) compared to other gold stocks whose price is either stuck or irratic. Not complaining of course.
A great one to hold onto.
This looks like one of the best bets in this crazy market. FRES is still at a low base so possibly an opportunity there too.
One of the few safer havens out there today
