Thank you, thank you, whoever gave me my first 'recommend' here on LSE - I am easily pleased.
Update following my less than inspiring communications with Hargreaves Lansdown... they have redeemed themselves with this...
"your instruction has been received and will be cast in advance of the meeting"
Well, I have done my bit, I just hope enough shareholders who were too apathetic to vote before will appreciate this second chance (last chance) and come out to support the Prosperity resolution.
Await the result on Monday now.
Down with the takeover. The gold is ours to sell in the years ahead. Everyday POG's cash pile (our cash pile btw) grows by $1.5M.
Reference Hargreaves Lansdown, As previously said, I voted for Prosperity 1-6 by email on Friday. I was concerned that my email had not been acted upon so I called this afternoon and actually got to speak to a person instead of 'leave a message'. The guy seemed very laid back to the point that I doubt my instruction will be actioned. He said they had received a number of calls today about POG but seemed unaware of the urgency/deadline. Very frustrating. I just hope there will be some intervention to prevent an asset grab - the bond holders have forgone the return in favour of the shares so as to amass a voting block. BOD never thought the bonds might bite back.
Wait for the result now, but I had hoped for a more seemly take over offer rather than this messy wrangling.
Yep..... Its all about the metrics PVA....
Youre like a robot pumping out facts and figures......
I actually like that, big thanks and I suppose many feel the same
bloody mac computers, They constantly change what I have typed. Votes, Not Notes. Thank you Lawrence13.
My votes in.
Continue to buy. Buying cash at a discount here.
Look at HGM production 300koz, no POX facility. Price 1.2 billion. Pog production 700koz with a billion pound POX setup. Value 1.2 billion. That's nuts. But the market takes it's time. I can wait.
This Morning's Mail saw 4x big A4 envelopes 2 from Prosperity and two from POG. Pulling all the stops out but cutting it fine
"notes" are you suggesting bribery Rusty.
Bur seriouly folks Hargreaves & Lansdown want 5 working days and don't the votes have to be cast by th 11 am next Friday?
Rusty .... Thank you, looks like my vote still counts.
Drunk in..... Believe it or not I am truly a believer in POG thats why I'm here in the first place.... I just lime to think outside the box sometimes and Rusty usually puts me back in with 6 inch nails :D
The voting papers are predetermined via H&L so due to POG being good to me I will return the favour....... It should after all extend the trading period....
And obviously to support all vested parties, especially the longs....
That Aldi wine tastes just fine.... Caught me on a good day ;)
DTG.. vote.. if we are succesful.. no prob
If we are kidnapped we'll cry foul and point the finger at you!
Invested since the New Year so I've done well so far.
Gold is high and the first half year production is stated as good. Therefore, I'm all for keeping the original status quo. Current SP is cheap.
I have just voted FOR Prosperity (1-6)
and AGAINST Everest (7-19)
Need to get all shareholders to vote to save OUR company.
There is a cut off time when you had to have shares to vote. If you did not hold shares on the cut off date, your notes will not be eligible.
Received my voting papers today.....
Question is will they be valid if no longer holding shares.... I dont usually vote at all...
Any idea?
Thanks for the confirmation.
PhilandLynne,
Resolutions 13 to 17 are to remove the temporary directors (hurriedly elected prior to the AGM).
All of these temporary directors have said that they will stand down at the conclusion of the General Meeting, so it really does not matter how you cast your vote on 13 -17.
Resolution 12 is to re-elect Mrs Ekaterina Ray, if she has been removed by the BoD before the end of the meeting. As this motion was requested by Everest, that is a good enough reason for me to vote against it. But each to their own!
Just thought I would mention that a few on here suggested that to keep the old regime in place that votes should be 1-6 FOR and 7-19 AGAINST. The board recommends the vote for 12-17 of FOR not AGAINST! With 7,8, 18 and 19 AGAINST. I know that Halifax is due to submit votes on 5th August, so any mistakes can still be changed with them. GLA
