https://shorttracker.co.uk/company/GB00BYRJ5J14/ notice a few shorts open here, any thoughts out there?
Just carrying out some research on them, looking pretty solid so far.
Another good acquisition to add to the list. This is one of the most consistent and steady long term holds in my portfolio. Great company.
Good divi payer good assets, been with them two years.Well run co.
Also, dividend is now paid quarterly - Feb, May, Aug & Dec. next one is just over 1.28p in Feb. script or cash.
There was a sub-division of shares...for every one held, each shareholder now holds 4, ergo SP is1/4 of yesterdays closing price
I thought it was a real drop lol
OK, your explanation makes sense. Seeing the price now... I probably should have topped up :(
I take it your referring to the 4%-5% drop since it went Ex-Div on the 17thSept. The sp has had no change from end of August (if you take of the 10pDiv). That's the clue I'd say. You quite often see a rally up to a big Divi for Capital Gains Tax reasons (Investors with big CGT liabilities can bank the divi as income and then sell just after the ex-divi date to bank a CGT loss) . Hence all those guys that bought pre the Ex-Div have now exited, causing the 4%-5% drop your talking about. Nothing to worry about. In fact this really is a super defensive stock its up 4% in last 3 months right through all the market turmoil (FT100 down 7%) PS I see it was tipped by Tempus of the Times today so expect a little buying on Monday.
Why is the SP dropping so much? It seems more than profit taking??? I'm would buy more but concerned that there may be some news I'm not aware off

good boring share happy to hold long term
Well, well. And there we have it. Raises head to left with smug face.
5% up in 15 days and 5.9% divi. Bottom drawer. Probably flat-line until Euro disintegrates but might get to 360p. I agree, boring.
Can this conceivably be the most boring share which warrants no discussion

I'm quite new to all of this share dealing palava but I just bought into PHP today @ c.320p. To my untainted mind it looks like a good long term bet, with a very decent dividend of c.6% and a potential upside of 360p+. I will hold for the longer term.
