I’m off for a while everyone, Looking at this is driving me loco!!
I’ll be back at the end of Q1 -
mines in the mine, I’ll meet you down the Salvation Army or the Ferrari dealership, Depending on how it goes here.
Catch ya
Unfortunately it’s out of the BoD’s hands. They don’t want the SP down here anymore then we do, they think oriole is woefully undervalued.
800k shares traded today and were down 5%!?!?!? I bought twice as much yesterday and it didn’t move a tick. It’s ludicrous how the SP moves. Not sure how it’s decided but it’s definitely bulls**t
Tim has really tried hard to talk this up but it has not helped at all. The company has done several in depth videos but it has fallen on deaf ears.
not been invested here for a while, but on the list to revisit. has Tim Livesey been as visible as he was a couple of years ago. I always felt he came across very well and would be able to talk the s/p up on positive news.
Also - this Moves red on such low volume!?!? It’s such crap. I topped up 1.5m yesterday and this did absolutely nothing. A few small sells and it’s down 4%
Coyote - good post.
I guess it only applies if they extend the agreement? That’s year 4 phase 2 completed. Just waiting on the Marina Bafe DD results.
If they decided to extend and do a huge RC Programme at Farè? I think this would shift the SP
It apppears that Madina Bafe hasn’t got the solid results they may have wanted for a satellite feed but in my opinion the more drill at Farè the better.
Correction - best till last?
....continuing with the previous post for the Far South prospect at Senala, at this early stage, two conceptual pits with a MRE of 155k oz @ 1.26 g/t Au are in outline.
IamG have to date carried out AC drilling to a depth of 10m over the entire area and two DD's (FADD21-030/031C) to test the upper level and for continuity at depth for the north pit.
At the south pit, historic drill hole FARC-00007 20m @ 31.13 g/t Au, drilled at azimuth 295 degrees falls outside the current pit outline.
Interesting. Drilled back in 2013, the results were so good they paired it giving results - FADD-00013 7m @ 1.64 g/t Au for comparison. Nothing like. Had it re-assayed by two independent laboratories and re-assayed by the original lab. Results proved accurate and no discrepancies with quality control protocols. Reason given at the time was either an extreme nugget effect and/or the likelihood of more than one mineralised structure in close proximity. Quoting the presence of linear features from a recent airborne magnetic survey striking NE, NNE, NW and N.
Drill hole: FARC-00007 7m @ 86.39 g/t Au from 19m.
Including: 1m @ 229.51 g/t Au from 19m.
1m @ 67.78 g/t Au from 21m.
1m @ 115.5 g/t Au from 22m.
1m @ 55.28 g/t Au from 23m.
1m @ 82.41 g/t Au from 24m.
1m @ 54.23 g/t Au from 25m.
Interval 20-21m is missing due to mechanical failure of the rig.
Could IamG be saving the best to last?
All speculation. DYOR.
Totally fed up with this. Good news after good news and no rise. What is it going to take for a sustained rise in this dog. Gutted
Q1
This was one set of results I thought could lift us above 0.45
Now it’s Bibemi assays and news on the earn in.
It’s frustrating to see such a lack of confidence in Oriole despite good news.
Afternoon Coyote,
Thanks for the post. I take it you’ve been around since the old days?
What’s your thoughts on the outlook for 2022?
I can see my Madina Bafe benefits IAMGOLD more but Fare seems like it holds the gold. If they do go for the earn in, $4m in two years would be put to good use.
I guess we have the weather to thank for these results. Poor ground conditions at Madina Bafa meant the rig moves to Fare. The weather's not all bad.
Going back to the early days when Stratex (now Oriole) purchased Silvrex and acquired Dalafin (now Senala) their geologist remarked he was getting good grades and intersections but not always where he expected to find them. His explanation at the time was the widespread occurrence of CUIKASSE, a hard crust of iron-cemented material, typical in tropical environments where heavy seasonal rainfall causes extreme downward leaching of most elements from the upper part of the soil profile.
Back to the present and Fare Far South. The first fence line drilling with good surface expression (abundance of red dots) came up with 35m @ 3.61 g/t Au (FARC21-0112) equaling the best drill intersection (36m @ 3.59 g/t Au) at Boto (2.5m oz) and 14m @2.09 g/t Au (FARC21-0111).
The second fence line drilled further south also with good surface expression (abundance of red dots) did n't (imo) meet with expectation.
The third fence line, results today, where there is least surface expression has come up with 5m @ 12.45 g/t Au (FARC21-0136), 12m @ 0.62 g/t Au (FARC21-0137) and 1m @ 6.08 g/t Au (FARC21-0135).
The hypothesis being presented here is what you see at surface may not tally or match up with what you have immediately below ground. Perhaps what you see at surface is maybe 200m, 300m or more farther north.
So standing on today's fence line at Fare Far South (5m @ 12.45 g/t Au) looking NE towards the next drilled hole (FADD-025 for 12m @ 7.09 g/t Au) some 900m away and should there be any merit in the aforementioned hypothesis.........
Don't believe this has gone red.
Again…. Just a shame the SP can’t hold any significant rise at the minute.
Great update, comes at a good time with IAMGOLD reviewing the earn in in.
Tim’s comments aside from some nice results are all you need to know.
“ this prospect has the potential for significant resource growth, with the possibility of becoming a stand-alone mine target of significant size.”
Onwards and upwards most importantly.
This adds significant value to the resource at Fare and dispels any notion of IAMGOLD pulling out. Ergo the sp recovery must continue, despite the market makers currently reporting some buys as sells. Well they did with my top up about eight minutes ago.
Great to see the gold results keep rolling in.
Plenty of juicy numbers for IAMGOLD to sink their teeth into.
ORR bringing home the GOLD…
