Well Omi is as ever the grand old duke of York, clever tho to raise all that cash to burn away while the price was higher, if now would probably be around 12p; let us hope it delivers something to us and those that we’re persuaded to buy in.
**entity's days will be numbered...
I can't help but feel that if/when we have a proven resource here it's probably a prime takeover target by one or both of our partners. Once the final tidying-up exercise has been done wrt to Uruguay activities has been completed I think this entities will be numbered.
Agree...........and it may sound silly, but for me anything under 50p (now) is cheap as chips and we shouldn't be at this level for long...and it is helping me to add more (so can't and have no complaints). We touched 17p before and even with delay (and I believe it would turn out as blessing in disguise) we're at this level. I remember struggling like this with GGP in the range of 1.50-1.80p for rather too long as it has been here and a few monkeys were as usual all over...it struggled even more to break 2p.......and bingo...10, 15, 20, 30, 38p....was only matter of time...I believe, this can accelerate given then potential and as they're already working with forward thinking of collecting more samples lease wide, sorting the last of the license permit as planned since last year and waiting for a call to take the operational charge over... at greater speed in coming weeks........till the end of this year.
Two majors can do with some 'on board' experts here :), they can help them to save some chicken feed hobby they're indulged here for fun after months of due diligence and spending millions without ever missing their priced possession of earn-in right!
Overall, I can thank enough to Ignacio Salazar for preparing this stage with two majors and he's still so kindly in touch with me.
GL...LTHs.
Correction to the below post. Should have read
MAP-073 also included a 1.2m interval with 96.44g/t Au, NOT 96.44g/t Ag
I think this is an amazing buy at this level, market cap is £33m.
Historic drill results
RNS: 25th Jan: MAP-072 70.50m @ 3.53g/t Au, 9.33g/t Ag and 1.62% Zn from 184.80m
RNS: 22nd Feb: MAP-073 21.60m @ 6.02g/t Au, 6.02g/t Ag and 3.23 %Zn from 271.75m.
MAP-073 also included a 1.2m interval with 96.44g/t Ag, 34.81g/t Ag and 29.98 %Zn
As we know OMI is partnered with Newmont & Agnico who are funding the drilling. Why would they do this if they could not see massive potential here. I am in accumulation mode on this share at the moment. When this share is on the rise and demand is high it can be difficult to a get hold of stock and it can rise fast. Now is a perfect time to load up.
Although these results are overdue, they will not be the making or breaking in relation to the current drilling campaign. We must also reign in our expectatios as we are unlikely to hit the motherload in this immeadiate area. I am confident however we will get some good results further down the road.
more blue than red today. Shall buy again more gold
on dodgy AIM.
Quite so Chickenlegs, I do see the potential but know it may or may not come. I appreciate your posts, great to get some intelligent and informative debate
We need some news to get this going I think. Bring it on.
Chickenlegs- I bet two majors can do with their collective expertise?
Glad to see your chicken feed for them LOL.
I must say Sotalo it is good that there seems to be some balanced debate on the merits of omi. It's good to have a variety of opinions and not just "rockets" and "boom". Seems to be good support at the 17p area which isn't great after recent highs of 40. I know that you have been in this stock a very long time but your still holding (as you say anyway) therefore I can only deduce that even though you are cautious you also see the potential here or you would just cut it like I would if I thought there's no more legs to run. The same for Webbs he loves Omi just about as much as he loves his crypto. The funny thing is his posting history in the last 30 days is all in Omi. Hope your having a good day Webbs.
Sotalo yes Anza is 100% owned but dilution
is locked in and we are fully funded by Newmont/Agnico with a free carry of 25pc if all goes to plan. You know like I do that there is a three phase earn in with various monies paid at certain points of time and with that come dilution but these facts are in the public domain and 25pc of something is better than 100pc of nothing or a venture that can't get off the ground due to a variety of factors.
Sometimes people forget that Anza area includes other targets such as La Cejita, Tesuitas, Charrascala and Guamarala and that orosur and its partners are only scratching the surface in Apta.
Orosur still have licences to garnish in a few of these areas but these areas in their eyes show greater promise. The fact is Apta is looking like polymetallic, gold rich, VMS deposit. Probably why they want more drilling data from it.
Bottom still not confirmed yet.
The majors JV in lots of exploration, it is chicken feed for them, in the hope one comes good, hopefully ours but who knows. They get 80% of the company without having to buy it, though they could. The information we have doesn’t yet confirm to us or them we have a hit, hence exploratory drilling. The price of shares and market cap is what counts not the quantity,so billions of shares valued at .01p could be worth far less than us, our market cap is a bit under aim average. Your sentiment is great Chicken, just getting the supporting facts right. Good luck with your new purchases and hoping price doesn’t continue Dow as after the original Newmont buy in when fell nearly 10 fold
Chicken and Bhargav - get a room you 2 ; )
On a serious note - thanks for your input!!! You know way more than me and a lot on here so keep it going. Your room is on me - Ha Ha
And yourself lad. I appreciate your knowledge and input. One of the ones who actually comes with an opinion and backs it up with what they see. Clearly you see the project for exactly what it is and its potential.
100% agree...
Gl mate.
To be fair bhargav for transparency I bought and have held here for around 6 months. I have also had the 40p to 17p ride twice. Did I sell? Nope I never. Am I bitter about it? Not really as at the moment I am getting more shares for my buck and it's given me the opportunity to get more shares. I have paid anything in-between 17p and 32p but admittedly mostly sub 20. Do I think it's worth 40p, 50p, 60p etc a share? I genuinely do with the potential and as it is proved up it could easily go ballistic. Still under 100million mcap at 50p as well as there are less than 200m shares in circulation. Not billions like others aimsters. Haha. Jealous of you guys that were in this from early 2020. Quite literally your getting the expertise and know-how of the big boys with what looks to be a VMS deposit. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination but I genuinely think people haven't bothered to read the information that is in front of them. Yes it is going to take time but the aim of this game is to prove this up to the point that newmont or agnico take over the whole project and pay Omi for the courtesy. It's clear as day in their investor presentation. Omi ain't taking this to production and nor should they. The majors have seen something that makes this project more special than any of the other numerous projects that they could have JV'd into but they chose this one. Now they are throwing drills, time, effort and money into an absolute duster. Haha really? Ok then.
Who can afford to get fearful of those monkeys (rather jokers) I've seen here for years Chicken?? LOL
Hi Karl 345345 apologies I may have been getting a bit carried away as I was pretty certain that mmap 80 was a bruce bonus. Maybe it wasn't. Someone might be able to explain this confusion in the meantime.
It does clearly state in the RNS's however that the plan originally was for 8 holes and to drill 2300m largely for fact finding reasons and to prove up historical data.
This is as clear as day in the January rns and is reiterated in the February Columbia update (when the price tanked) while going on to say to that the decision has been made to expand and move into the next phase and go from 2300m of drilling up to 7000m of drilling whilst introducing the fourth rig.
In my mind this is saying we know more about what we are dealing with. We have cross-referenced our drill results with the historical data and now we are going to be more targeted to the tune of an extra 4700m of data. To facilitate this we are going to introduce another rig. This is because we are not messing about and we are fairly certain that this extra drilling is going to bring up something exciting.
Maybe I'm interpreting this wrong but this is my interpretation reading between the lines.
In my mind tho if the original plan was to drill 2300m but you've decided to extend it by 66pc then you're pretty certain something is there. Why would you waste the energy and resource on your least fancied area? Especially when stated that the best geochemistry is at Guaimarala which the plan was to drill early 2021?
Whilst there are delays at the lab you can bet your bottom dollar that the drills will still be drilling and if your invested there will be alot of data to come over the next few months.
There are a few members on this board trying to instill fear and panic but all I can say is trust your own judgement and research. Omi has alot going for it even if the price action over the last few months does not support that ascertion.
I've been loading up. Risky yes but the majors don't seem to be messing about here therefore nor am I. To me Apta obviously has something that's peaking interest that they can't leave alone.
Sotolo, until we get results we don't have much to talk about, like it was in the good old days...
I've added today..
Wolf bag, I too find the number of posts here an interesting metric, four or five years ago I was a near lone poster with sometime weeks between posts, when we get loads as last summer it is zooming up, now it has gone quieter it is falling, I also notice conversation becomes more civilised and two sided as the posts fall, appreciated your one.
Forseti- Not sure about another 100 folds...but, certainly lot higher from this level onwards and upwards if things go as anticipated in the potential....and I'm here till at my best endeavour till Sept 22.
Not here, for first laugh....last laugh gimmicks...purely here to make the money and odds, to my knowledge and appetite of the risk/ reward seems fine to me. A few swings in between are inevitable. Just, quietly keep adding a bit by bit is my game.
The spread on this share makes it difficult to day trade profitably - steady decline while we lose the quick-buck and short merchants who take the decision to finally swallow their losses - I'm not sure but if u want to short this share then it probably gonna cost u more than u make at this steady rate of decline ? - No doubt that this will gear-shift on any positive news - although the opposite is also obviously true. The absence of any trading volume reflects this - how low will it go before news is anyone's guess - - on another note - it is always interesting to correlate the ratio reported trades with the number of chat entries !
