EbbsandFlows - The joint Porton Down and University of Oxford team has developed a rigorous validation
approach,
What planet are you on mate. This is where the problem lies. There is a bottleneck here of British companies awaiting validation of their products. Look at the recent list of products validated. ALL PCR tests
Correct !!!
New CEO bed in !!!! He is part of the corrupt gang that have been running ODX for the last two years ,taking investors money for delivering nothing but mis information and false dawns !!!! All the NEW CEO has done is changed office , the whole management structure needs changing . They have taken people’s money and lined their own pockets and are laughing at the PI,s
Novicehunter- If you are not invested, why you here?
A lot of people underwater here and your relentless bashing is embarrassing. Do you truly believe that your comments will make a difference on the SP?
Let the new CEO bed in for gods sake, I’m sure he is more qualified than you to design a strategy and business plan for the future of the company.
No problem with that Sippit but that doesn't change a thing about the stock... what do you want me to say ?
This stock and company are first class and you can see that in the last 6 month performance, strong buy for me !!
Novice hunter you old pervert, you haven't got a clue, get back in your closet.
Open up in the 12's and close in the 11's today. So obvious what's happening here...
“ Did the Innova test go through the same procedure ?‘
No.
Did the Innova test go through the same procedure ?
Ebb - the gov bought a shed load recently.
It does not matter for odx as they blew their contract good and proper.
They need self test approval and to sort their sales team out for all products. Hopefully the new guy will look to the latter.
And yet apparently ODX is making so little out of all this that it has burned through millions since the last financial update. Impressive. ODX, the idea of a loss leader, is that you sell other things that make money, do you understand?
Does anyone know how many LFT the goverment have brought todate? thanks
The joint Porton Down and University of Oxford team has developed a rigorous validation
approach, which can be found at www.gov.uk by searching for ‘protocol for evaluation of
rapid diagnostic assays for specific SARS-CoV-2 antigens (lateral flow devices)’. The
current validation process consists of three assessment phases of increasing stringency.
Phase 3a is a validation against clinical samples, and successful completion of this final
stage means a product has demonstrated suitable performance and is therefore eligible for
procurement.
I hope this reply is helpful.
The valuable partnerships being created with companies such as SureScreen Diagnostics
are further contributing to the resilience of the UK, both through supporting the work of UK
diagnostics manufacturers and by harnessing the possibilities opened up by rapid regular
testing. From a standing start at the beginning of the pandemic, the UK’s diagnostics
industry is now at its largest size in history.
Our Dynamic Purchasing System, a procurement tool that allows qualifying suppliers to
compete for contracts, will diversify the supply of LFD tests through fair and transparent
competition. Further information can be found at www.gov.uk by searching for ‘national
technical validation process for manufacturers of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) tests’.
To be purchased by the department, LFD tests need to have been validated by Porton
Down and must have regulatory approval in the form of either an exceptional use
authorisation (EUA) or a European conformity (CE) mark. None of the products for selftesting with Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency EUA approval or a CE
mark are currently manufactured in the UK.
Needs to go over a couple of post due to length
We are committed to boosting UK manufacturing and demonstrated this with the award of
a contract for 20 million devices to Derby-based test manufacturer SureScreen
Diagnostics. These lateral flow device (LFD) tests were the first British tests to be
validated in the laboratory by Public Health England and the first UK-manufactured LFD
tests to be approved for supervised testing. These LFDs are able to generate a result in
under 15 minutes.
SureScreen Diagnostic LFD tests, which have been partly assembled by Omega
Diagnostics in Scotland, are initially being rolled out to universities in England. In
preparation for their launch, SureScreen tests have been used in certain wider public
sector supervised settings including prisons and daily contact testing settings. They will
form an essential part of the Government’s rapid testing programme.
I would like to assure you that collaboration between industry and Government continues
to be a priority, and we are hugely grateful to all the manufacturers and suppliers that have
come forward to offer their assistance in producing LFD tests.
