Hi Plums. that's interesting then. It was a presumption on my part, in response to whether the new man Keegan would be playing a part. Any information you are able to impart, I am sure, will be universally well received.
Plums, you tease;-))

As you are one of the few sane posters here, and you only post when you have something worth saying, I'd be very interested in anything more you can add.
Bank ?
Hope, its interesting you mention about the deal possibly being looked at by a bank, I've heard some interesting things the last fortnight regarding that.

Ok podcasts are a nice comforter for us :-)
All he said on Q1 was he was hopeful. As we all are! Data being shared between both parties, which is normal for such trials.
The China situation is interesting tho. If we don't have the money then we have the data, which in my mind is worth far more that 2.5m. The results stated the trials were as effective as Mercks EMEND CINV therapy. That drug makes Merck $500+m in sales per year and their patent EXPIRES this year. So this is a new EMEND basically but with all.the parent protections. Now EMEND can now be copied but nonetheless, serious money to be made
i disagree it was a non event. He confirmed NXP002 negotiations have been going well - he didn't need to say that.
Similarly he reconfirmed the end of Q1 date - he had the opportunity to water this down, and again he didn't.
Agree with your comment re Chinese money though.
These podcasts are a non event really, esp as Dr G will have learnt his lesson after the last series. They can't say anything that isn't out there otherwise they're into price sensitive info territory
In my mind #2 will be moving forward but who knows when it will be signed. All he said was that he was hopeful it would be Q1. What more can he say when it's not entirely in his control. But it will get done soon enough I believe.
Re: China, in my mind he didn't sound optimistic, but that's just my take. If they are dragging their feet on payment then they're in breach of contract and Dr G is probably pimping the data around other pharmas looking for interested parties so no payment isn't a huge issue for me.
As for naughty director dealings he prob can't say anything because the FCA may be investigating so any comment would see him fined too.
So its business as usual really
Aim dress it up anyway but if you turned the clock back nfx would not proceed as they did ,
I want this to succeed as much as you but if they had their time again it would be a different approach ,
I know hindsight and everything enters into it but it was a costly mistake imho .
Like I said I hope they have heeded
I don't think Karl Keegan will have anything to do with the outcome of the NXP002 deal. It is already at an advanced stage and I presume being carried out by a healthcare division of a bank, who will have control of that and presumably would not take kindly to someone coming in at this stage and suggesting things. Whoever has carried out the negotiations thus far, Dan is happy with. Not long now.
Remember the raise was because we got tied in a corner by dodgy Chinese dealing I don't care how long nfx where dealing with them ,
Sacking both sides don't sit comfortable with me .
Nfx might have rights but they didn't have the cash ,
It's an eye opener for them , they went up the carriage way the wrong side
K.Keegan if he's hit the ground running his input could get this over the line for 002 Q1 . A new pair eyes will be most welcome. Say what you like but the China deal for 001 should never have happened ,
It should have been packaged so they got the money or withdrew months ago ,
Black mark , let's hope 002 will make up their errors and be on time .
You don't deal with a dodgy man on the street corner , say what you like but that's what the perception of 001 deal is
Bacon for me ;-)
Agree mars, sounds like due diligence is taking place. He also seemed excited about the prospect of K.Keegan being on board to help with getting maximum rates for upcoming commercial deals. Let’s see how we role on from here.
In September Dan was cautious along the lines discussions but still may not to a deal this time more confident should be concluded Q1 not surprising no one releases data on a whim.
