When are the results pls?
Thanks for clearing that up Monkshood. Now makes sense and I will probably be around when they start paying one.Gog and Nex are two shares I’m quite happy to hold.Cheers,atb.
I do not think that you will be getting any divi's until after next April when the grant from the UK ceases. The last full years div was 14 p - the sp has gone up nearly 40p in the past week, I am quite happy settling for capital gain at the moment.
From Rol's interims
'One of the terms of the DfT grants is that bus companies may not pay dividends as long as the grant regime is in place. Accordingly, it will be necessary for the DfT grant regime to have ceased and normal bus operation to have re-commenced successfully before the Board may consider the resumption of dividend payments.'
Nice to see Sp recovering.Really like this share and happy to hold for long term.Would like to see a small dividend returned to shareholders though.atb
I'm afraid I'm unable to accurately predict future inflation levels...
Will next still grow acoordimgly how high will inflation go will the growth ne higher then inflation?
Rising inflation is not seen a positive for the stock market as a whole. The biggest concern is that central banks will not want to raise interest rates to control inflation as it will put the recovery in jeopardy.
This is for further down the road however and no, it isn't specific to NEX and won't cause the price here to crash.
Will Inflation cause this share to crash?
yes agree with regards to masks and social distancing maybe re-introduced
priority now has to be getting uni students double jabbed by September
was reading earlier that vast majority of people in itu are either not jabbed or only single jabbed
there can be renewed restrictions but there is no chance chance they will ever return to the lockdowns of before, certainly not for covid19. they simply do not have the money to do it again and even if they did, the disruptions that followed afterwards and which are still playing out mean the minuses outway the pluses. the refusual to go back to work/supply chain issues etc feeding into inflation is something they dont want to repeat at any cost. currently the virus is following the trajectory of past viruses and if that continues it should mean less and less restrictions going forward, but the onus on getting folks vaccinated. there is simply zero chance of full lockdowns. however, certain restrictions if brought back in can have material effects on certain businesses. but all roads lead to normalisation.
Currently for the last week infections have been falling and it was good to see the papers report this for once, rather than sky news that focus on everything negative and are constantly scaremongering.
This could be a false reading though, because after all it's only been a week since freedom day, so infections could start rising again.
I feel a lot depends on the next 2 weeks really when it will be clearer whether the modellers worst case scenarios start bearing out.
Also I remember clearly the Wednesday before Xmas when the PM said " it would be inhumane to cancel Xmas now"
And what did he do 2 days later, we all know he u turned 48 hours later.
If they do another lockdown with this type of vaccine rollout when will they open up again and the trust to the public be broken
Virtually no chance. Could some restrictions be brought back in like mandatory face masks in shops? Yes I think so.
With autumn winter do you think their could be another lockdown if infections go up?
