If tomorrow, Andrex announced it had put a two man crew on the moon, I would find that a little more believable than Hansol's claim to have invented the CFQD and means to produce it in volume.
"no doubt your question was considered thoroughly by the legal advisers and also as part of several DD processes"
The fact that Hansol were not named suggests that both sides recognize their true status: seemingly a company with little knowledge or experience of QDs, whose main purpose seems to be to obscure Samsung's real activities. If Hansol were a genuinely independent organisation, then as manufacturers they would logically be the company infringing Nanocos patented processs, and their evidence would surely be essential to the case.
Nano originally included two other Samsung companies in the complaint, who have both now been removed from it by mutual agreement. It may well be that Hansol have a similar status and any relevant documents about them can be supplied directly by Samsung, thereby simplifying the case slightly and reducing costs for both sides.
No money left.! Moved some funds into Carnival and IAG.! Not a good move.! Need IAG to go up 53% just to break even now.
botbot - Bet your secretly sacrificing something to them.
Time or Money ? - maybe, both !!
Well, even though it seems we are not supplying anyone, somehow the % is going up again with no volumes.
You have to love it.
Drops, no volumes, goes up no volumes..............Nano gods have started the week well.!
Looking forward to This week’s trading, to find out if there is anything behind Friday’s tick up. If Bot’s gods are listening, it would be nice to hear that NANO or Merck is supplying QD to AUO.
Troublesome... probably... whilst they are going to work from home but if you can’t work from home you can go to work but it would be better to work from home so work from home type of approach.
Nano gods on a Sunday !!
Maybe the reason for their existence must be sought beneath their masks.
Well, I need Nano to go up to make my account look better. I obviously bought IAG at the wrong time, and have lost 34% in three weeks, so would greatly appreciate it if Nano would jump to 25p just to make my account look better please.....Also not doing well on Carnival, so maybe 30p for Nano would be better. Hell, let's just make it a round 50p. Thank you Nano gods.
Nanoco worked with Samsung, not Hansol. Also as far as we know, Hansol dots are only used in Samsung products, so the only evidence of patent infringement can be found via that product.
That’s a good question SL - you would think it should be.
Hansol is owned by a relative of Samsung and long ago used to be part of it. It is known for products and services including paper, electronics, chemicals, logistics, IT, household interiors and construction - I think it fair to say not best known for Nano science - so strange in itself.
I have also wondered why Hansol is not party to the complaint and my best guess is that it is not involved in the way Samsung has stated, and NANO has knowledge both that Hansol is a ‘front’ as the source of CFQD and Samsung developed and produces them (using NANO IP).
Only NANO and Samsung know the answers but no doubt your question was considered thoroughly by the legal advisers and also as part of several DD processes, so I feel sure there will be a rational explanation.
So question : If Nanoco itself (not just contributors here) really thought Hansol was ripping off their technology why has the company also not brought a case against Hansol? Or is there some timing or jurisdiction reason for not doing that yet?
Sadly I very much doubt it is Nanoco or Dow dots, as I would have expected that to be worthy of an RNS, but hope springs eternal.
Thanks Nanonano. I recollect there was suggestion that NANO was partnering AUO, followed (as usual) by the long silence. Would not be surprised if AUO got a top offer from Samsung to use Hansol dots instead? They certainly perform like NANO CFQD - wonder why?
I think at least one colour of Nanosys dots is ROHS compliant but still not CF (might have changed) so less likely to be theirs?
If Hansol’s dots are inside, perhaps Mintz may be able to ask for these screens to be considered as part of the US litigation too?
According to this article, AUO are supplying Samsung with 8K QLED displays. If true, are they getting their dots from Hansol, Nanosys or someone else. I'd expect them to be cad free for a Samsung product.
