Just came across this little gem,Is the MDA already priced in? Interested to know peoples price predictions over the next 12 months!?
Interesting interview with President Chakwera. Looking to position Malawi with both the west and the global south (both and, not either or). And in the last couple of minutes of the interview he mentions Sovereign's rutile and the "other minerals" and believes Malawi has the prospect to be on a trajectory of real development.
Money i think is in recycling.
Govs will throw cash at that.
All internal value creating within your own country. No political risk etc
Just found this.
Looking good.

Is that still the case, by the end of 2023?
Yes, Malawi first imo, as they want to publicise the event as much as possible as it's a significant step in growing their economy and secondly it's aim to forward outside investment into the mining sector. This will be a landmark venture for them, showing that they're capable of doing a good deal.
The pressure on them is daily now since announcement, PUBLICLY, that they're giving MKA the MDA before year is out!
I agree probably from the Malawian govt first. As to when, hopefully soon.
I'd expect PR overdrive when it's announced, lots about years of hard work and leaving no stone unturned in negotiations. Partnerships, maximising socio economic and fx benefit to Malawi. Win win and warm hearts. Lots of positive spin.
I'd imagine Malawi gov would get the thunder and would be announcing first. I believe that's what happened with Globe's MDA. Malawi gov announced and press release, then details of the MDA followed and then a day or 2 later Globe RNSd (that's from memory so I may be wrong).
Like many I am sure, every morning at 7 I check to see if any news!
It got me thinking about when/how the news of the MDA will be announced. Of course the first we should know would be via an RNS but how likely is that and I can't imagine it will be a 7am one?! I am guessing the Malawian government would be very 'leaky' and want all the fanfare themselves.
Anyone got their own thoughts??
I've seen periodic attempts by shareholders groups to push for a simple system that reports trades in real time tagged buy or sell. The powers that be in the City tend to resist, claiming people asking for such a change "don't understand the system".
Interesting. Thanks Bonker
They can do anything they like - it's common practice to delay the reporting of a trade for an hour, or even a day or longer, to try and give PIs the wrong impression.
Indeed. Is it possible to "spoof" a trade?
Looks a bit dodge tbf.
Nice 30k buy there
Tbh, J. Traeger and CoTec cannot wait to get the ball rolling, they've been eager beavers for a while now. They obviously see Hypromag as a game changer. They're playing the game as per instructions from Mkango to wait for the MDA due imminently now, so the RNS's can freely flow!
Yeah... all SUPER! :)
He also mentioned a possible partner too
Julian Treger (Cotec CEO) once again very bullish about Maginito in their webinar update on Friday. Some of his words below:
- Already starting to generate revenues in the UK
- Very promising discussions with members of the US government recently
- Over the next couple of months we expect to progress the initial contacts we had with potential e-waste partners [highlights potential newsflow next year]
- All signs are that the US government are very keen on this
- There are lots of other industry players, OEMs, which are intrigued with the idea that we can bypass the Chinese restrictions and recycle the waste we already have within our economies to create new magnets
- Very confident and very excited about the way in which this business is going to develop in the next 12 months and the enormous value which we think we'll be able to create for Cotec shareholders through this investment
- Ultimately we think Maginito alone will result in a value many multiples of the current market cap of Cotec
- The US joint venture has the potential to be worth several hundred million dollars
For reference, the Cotec market cap is £23m. Cotec own 20.6% of Maginito and effectively 60% of the US joint venture.
His words say a lot about the undervaluation of MKA (£28m market cap) right now.
All eyes on the mine at the moment, while the real beast is lurking in the background!

MKA Canada + 21% Today
Many thanks rigga: much appreciated by those of us in the Mushroom Club on AIM who are told to DYOR but for whom MKA is a "hunch" based upon snippets of info and a readiness to take a punt. ATB
I too would appreciate the telegram link.
Thank you
Makes sense why we've been rising so much!
