Personally, I had no idea this was in the background. There had to have been some inkling of a claim when under HP's ownership and without looking into the merits of the claim, with MF breadth of offerings this should not negatively impact sales and cashflow even if the claim is upheld some time down the road.
It shouldn't impact MF ability to reduce debt and, if anything, under an accelerated debt reduction plan this can simply be added on and paid for over multiple years if upheld. It should not impact the ability of the company to perform and grow. I bought more this am.
latpulldown Always the case or every body would appeal if there was no recourse.
The shorters new this was still in the balance but like you say this could still take a couple of years and even if they get a fine i would imagine they will have time to pay . This could be the last shot for the shorters and with that in mind i just loaded up at 461p.
Yes I agree MB that it could take a couple of years if not linger. The company s part of my pension fund and SP has time to recover. I never expected that result but I suppose there is never good news without a bout of bad. My friend topped up last week at £5.16 so it’s a disappointment to get such news.
Another 2 year for an appeal would not be a bad thing if they don't have to pay out any monies now. I don't however know how to take the part in the RNS with the Judges discretion to potentially increase the sum. Is that the norm with these type of cases?
Clearly leaked friday. They do seem confident of an appeal but that process could take another 2 years
Its a pain but not a game changer
On a positive note its probably flushing out many that would have sold on Thursday
It's a big hit for sure if the judge endorses things and not the RNS I would have liked to wake up to. It will be interesting to see how our Us Investors digest it.
MCRO = landmine magnet.
If there's one within a 300 mile radius, you can bet they'll step on it at some point..........
The award is more than 10% of their market cap as well, so not insignificant.....
