ain't a year... yes the sp may slide further because it's AIM and even one month is a long time for "investors" here.... on the other hand we are more than 20% below the recent raise and we should get news about rigs and business deal with Petro China (to use their facilities) sometime in Autumn, which might both help the sp together with oil price... I reckon that the action will start as soon as Feb because some people will buy for potential spud in late April/May.... obviously each to their own... you might do better if you sell now and buy back later, nobody knows... I will buy more if it slides to 2.5-6
I understand the potential of our share... But if the general consensus seem to be that there is at least a year wait for anything practical to happen (drilling, producing, etc) and the sp to go u[ why to be invested now, this early?... I am tempted to get out and come back in a year time... am I being logical?
market does not work that way tho, good example are gold companies that are far from producing (GGP, OMI, EEE, ECR...) this January when gold was around $2000 they all were about 100% higher than they are now (gold is around $1750), if oil will keep climbing and I think it will all oil companies will go up! (+we have confirmed oil find and low mcap) of course imo but as I said before I think there is a perfect storm coming for MATD next year and I'm personally very excited
// Oil price is climbing well so bodes well for most oilies.//
It's far too soon to make any prediction based on the current (fluctuating) price of oil. If PM has oil it's still in the ground & likely to remain so for at least a year and when they do come to production there's no guarantee they will get open market prices.
This used to make me laugh with folks touting AMC due to the rising price of nickel where it's already been several years since discovery of the deposits and will likely be a lot longer before they actually see any metal.
I never invest in any share based in the advice of others. Some are paid to ramp up the price before a placing and others scare people into selling. I have made good money here by trading in and out and will invest here again when I have funds and think it is a good time to do so.
Good luck all. Oil price is climbing well so bodes well for most oilies.
One important piece of advice I will offer is don’t invest on the recommendation of anyone on an anonymous bb. AIM is known as the ‘Wild West’ for a reason ie. there are all sorts of charlatans on these boards and 99% of them are self-serving with ulterior motives.
We have the ramping brigade who will tell you this is a once in a lifetime investment and will make you millions, encouraging folk to invest whilst selling down their own stock.
Then at the other end of the scale we have the pessimists who will tell folk the SP is going to crash whilst purchasing stock. There is a constant daily battle between the two camps.
I for one don’t believe that anything posted on these types of boards have any influence what so ever on the performance of a SP. They do however influence folk who hang on every word which is posted and will buy / sell on the recommendation of their ‘favourite poster’ - fatal mistake.
Read all the posts by all means and use them as a tool to assist you in doing your own research.
Whether MATAD is a good investment only you can decide. There’s plenty of info out there on the internet.
Many thanks Ojay. I noticed you were one of the more active one on this board & member since 2011 (so I assumed you would know a thing or two about AIM companies, etc.) and hence asked for your opinion. Others opinion would be great to have too.
APD708 (fairly wierd alias):
Interesting that you would want MY opinion of all posters on this board. For sure there are more experienced and knowledgeable posters/investors around. I typically don't give advice - I don't even make predictions. I look at the day to day developments and make my decisions based on that.
If there is one thing that I can confirm: I believe that PM's SP will rise substantially once they start generating revenues - which they should as they have found oil. I also believe that once PM has partnered with - whoever - in order to find more oil the SP of this company should soar. However, this is all my modest opinion and that is why I am invested. All of this could take another year or two.
Hi Ojay, just reading your posts here, have you been invested in this company for long? I am looking to invest and would greatly appreciate your outlook for the next 6 to 12 months please? I appreciate a lot you spending your time responding to this.
