Mike wouldn't have the cheek to put his head above the parapet now would he?What exactly is he going to say?Sorry for the hugely discounted placing that i and my mates participated in.We couldn't place any higher as the company....?
A JV with Petro China?China is hardly any western company or market's friend right now, unless it involves them ripping you off or taking something off you for nothing!
// tuck them away for 6-9 months//
6-9 years maybe!
If itbdoes get to the mid 2's il be massively topping up... and tuck them away for 6-9 months
PETRO MATAD LTD - OPEN OFFER
PETRO MATAD LTD is proposing an Open Offer on the following basis:
1 New Ordinary share for every 16 Existing Ordinary shares held at an Issue Price of 3.5 pence per New Ordinary share......................................I dont think there are many that will take up this offer when the share price is 2.966 and the open offer is 3.5 as much i believe in MATD and am invested........Get some GOOD news out to us shareholders BOD,you are not a lifestyle company, come on.
sash: Thx for your opinion - but in the end 'ts only a opinion. There are people on this board who have a different one - like me. But ultimately we are all just speculating - as usual. 2.95p may be the botton of PM's SP development - maybe not. One thing appears clear: The downside is calculable - but the upside? Who is out there to predict the timeline and the SP's rise? Is that you?
Just to remind you: In late summer/autumn of 2019, i.e. before the Heron oil strike was made public, PM's SP reached 9p. I therefore guess even you understand that the market doesn't function the way we may like.
Keep your ears stiff...ATB
The Placing was set low so that they could accumulate shares on the cheap. Will go down further until people jump back in end of the year.
Get out or buy more while it's cheap. But it's not going up anytime soon I cant see
Yes
Mr b,Are you invested in Matd?
At least if the SP drops to 0 it will stop you lot moaning.
PS. Have a great day guys.
One may ask why 3.5p placing in a rush while waiting 10 months idle.
Mind you if it drops to 2p then it would be 70 times more valuable rather than 50 times!
Have a great day guys.
I agree - heading for low 2s over next few weeks.
mm's priming it for 2.90 today. . We are headed for low 2;s don't buy yet.
D1nger so why is the market not believing the facts and figures? There feels like there must be something weird going on. I have some in my children's SIPPs so they might 'make bank' as the kids say out of MATD one day.
As previously mentioned we don't have long to wait now - Open Offers is completed tomorrow - then PM/MB can legally do a PR interview. They would have been reading the comments/concerns on here so I am sure they will be addressed. A JV with Petro China soon and a good rise into the PR interview will soon allay fears - well that's my hope anyway - ATB LTH's
I know I don’t understand either why it’s valued down here?
Is it just that it’s been such a perennial let down that it’s run out of ‘mugpunters’ (other than me that is)…
… the placing price is a farse unless you say it was for management to hoover up a load of cheap shares having been selling all they could as we hit 9p.
…. I suppose I’d load up and participate in a 3.5 if I could offload a boatload via offshore holdings and opaque family trusts. Before anyone comes on and says “oh they can’t do that it’s illegal .. and they have to declare crossing thresholds” …. Behave —and please don’t be naive.
As the guy said “be fearful and selling when all around you are buying, and be buying when all are fearful” … it’s either a massive Ponzi scheme or your man is right … you are looking at the cheapest thing on Aim if you are prepared to wait a year
Tell me why on the earth we had placing at 3.5p If MATD is worth 50 times more?
Is there sth wrong with your calculations? CEO/MATD have been fools or playing fools?
There must be sth? Yes there is sth fishy here!
We currently have an Mcap of £25m.
The Revised NPV on heron alone is $220m but that is based on a recovery of 33m barrels at $60 per barrel.
We revised our recovery to around 60m barrels with stimulation which would make our NPV circa $400m. (Current mcap £25m).
Near field recovery is between 100m and 200m barrels which would bring our NPV to between $700m and $1.5bn.
Our agreed exploitation area includes the whole extension of the Toson Uul basin into block XX. The estimated recoverable oil in the Toson Uul basin in the blocks controlled by Petrochina is around 2bn barrels. Their area is 38% of the Toson Uul basin and we have 62%. If the oil is distributed evenl6 then we have potentially 3bn barrels in our licenced part of the basin.
17% recovery of 3bn barrels is 510m barrels which equates to an NPV of over $3bn.
But let’s stick to the figures provided by Matd regarding WHAT WE CAN EXPLOIT because we have the licence to do it and it is around 200m barrels, equivalent to an mcap of $1.2bn.
So to summarise our current Mcap represents a valuation of 2% of a conservative NPV.
Yep, our current mcap is 50 times less than our conservative NPV on the heron field. Then we have velociraptor with 200m barrels etc, etc.
The recent placing gave us 5he opportunity to tap into our potential without being indebted to a partner who may have used our financial weakness to negotiate a deal which would have robbed us of our true worth.
If you can’t wait, then sell. If you can wait then welcome to the best current long term investment on the aim market IMO
