The small investors will come flooding in. Yes that will eventually include, unfair trader, barchildren, and even tipping from trent.
Good luck to those with substantial sums and those with a few hundred quid just to make their bar bill cheaper by a £200 share holder discount card for meals. Either way it does not matter expect all pubs open next week! Happy Days.
Marston's like RR are strong buys this morning which is why I have made my life very comfortable and was able to retire early.
What I see is most of what I say is eventually said on here by others who criticize at the time. One has to look in advance of the market but most negative comments on here ONLY look at the "POST EVENT" which is why they are always moaning!
Never mind -you do make me laugh!
Although the article only goes as far as to say that we are on their "watch list" but still like everything else on their site, it's not much of a review from a site with the word "fool" in it's title IMV.
Although the article does only g
Actually, for once, Supercharger is correct. The article in the link is about our Marstons.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
I see the little green line is making an attempt on the North Face this morning...hope we don't get turned back by blizzards again
The entire Interweb seems to have taken a hit over the last week or so...and intellectually I would have imagined no safer bet than Marstons on a rise...buy hey ho...no one I am chatting with elswhere seems to know whats going on...so I guess we just sit it out for the meanwhile...and where better than at a table at Masrstons
Thanks for all the informative posts recently
Happy Tinny Day
See you all next week
The Tinster
I am waiting for the trading report on the 28th of July
whizzline
Good spot, you are totally correct, actualhowever facts & supercharger seem to be allergic to each other, more's the pity
That statement was about a tech stock not Marston's.
"MOTLEY FOOL"-Advising its followers that Marstons could be the greatest buy since Amazon in 1997. Should help the sentiment for this share as we come out of lock down. See link:-

Keep topping up I am the barrow boys trying to scare people to sell cheaply hold this stock will have some up side early 2022
Yes at this giveaway price we can expect the suitors to come back after us very soon. We will soon be so cheap no one with any clout can resist us. It will be a shame as I prefer for Marston's to continue and be given a chance as we are, but regret see a take over coming very soon!
Probably the value of the land owned and the pubs themselves are worth than this share price lets be honest! Time for me to top up - me thinks!! Ha.ha.
Leisure and hospitality shares have slumped big time past week or so, hopefully reopening will see a nice increase
Agree -all pubs opening next week!
Also rising prices means a bigger margin for the supermarkets too. so profits increasing from both inhouse and retail / home sales.
Move over Football we now have some Olympic tv drinking! Then the Football season starts again. All cyclical and up on last yr.
Easy money, it won't be long until this is back into the 90's +
Fill yer boots! Lovely. Whitbread was down this morning early doors now going up!
Less going abroad = more takings than usual too.
I understand results will be due soon so we will see where this baby goes then and if anyone else is interested in a take over r should I mention another merger? Hey what do I know.
It is sinking even more than I had expected. The Euro Cup Euphoria was short lived
You called 70’s so your accidental typo of 60’s, I wouldn’t be at all surprised sir!
70's rather!!
I thought the writing was on the wall after the Brains acquisition , didn't see that as a good move!...but of course this Delta variant has caused this recent collapse in the SP. I sold out at 94p, which I was fortunate to do.
Would I buy back in now that it's into the 60's?...
No.
Pasty called it and here it is, in the 70’s
i.e. It might be a good time to buy them up cheap and then develop them for additional housing! i.e. In the past few years I have been doing this myself and there is a lot of money to be made from development believe me.
Could be an opportunity? Same for Marstons if they do not need all of the pubs as we will know soon how they are doing, then sell them for development. The value of them will increase with permission especially for any large car parks!!
I just hope RF does not get it into his head to put a bid in for those pubs. While I do see a degree of logic in the Brain's deal, I'm still nowhere near being 100% confident he's done that the right way for the business, but I'm not sure adding more to our estate is the best way forward.
If they do have cash to burn, (which I doubt at the moment) I'd prefer that money to be put to use bringing the ones we have that need bringing up to a better standard.

I certainly hope RF is tucked up out of the way somewhere, a purchase like that with our likely cash flow at present would really add more "brewers droop" to our SP !
