Anyone who has held onto this share from 2019 must be loosing the will.
Can see why BOD never held onto very many. Perhaps they could start believing in the business they are paid a small fortune to keep on track?
It's a wall of red, and yet no-one is buying at these prices. Don't understand it!
An update can't come soon enough! Is this really a sub £50m business? I've taken my position and I'm saying it absolutely isn't.
But it's so hard to get any sort of reward investing in UK small caps atm.... so much liquidity has been sucked out of this part of the market.
Still floating lower, where is the trading update?
Shares are surely bombed out and reading again the half year results I really cannot see much downside from here and a lot of upside. I just wish I had waited longer to average down!
True, though in 2022 it wasn't until 11 April. So crossing fingers, but not holding breath.
....there was a trading update. Bluddy good reason for one tomorrow!!!
Very fair points Streets.
Bold. You may of course be right. But I would be wary of attaching too much weight to the company's statements. They are always too bullish - certainly in my experience talking directly to Cooklin and reading his pronouncements.
I'm no chartist but this remorseless downward trend suggests to me that those in the know are not prepared to support it.
I think it's a really interesting proposition but I'm waiting until we have some actual numbers not warm noises. I'd also like to see what forecasts Canaccord come up with. They won't want to be caught out right from the off.
SP decline is just a reflection of the company's deteriorating financial performance these last years. They stopped the divi too, meaning on top the share gets no love from income investors. It's also v possible there's a significant seller, as suggested.
Sooooo, I've done the good, old-fashioned contrarian thing and topped up. Why? 3 reasons. Firstly, I re-read the half-year Results and I detected tentative signs of a pick-up, so maybe, just maybe, this time it really will be different. Secondly, the price is so low - now 50% below my last top-up and almost 60% below my initial purchase - that I'll never get my money back unless I take a chance like this. Finally, I admit I do love a juicy contrarian punt and this rather fits the bill...
C'mon Mr Cooklin, cook us up some good results!
@tommy15 T212 just said they have "recently adjusted all of the limits". They also 'adjusted' CRL (another AIM stock) so I can't buy them either. Yes I have mirror portfolio on ii so have been buying on there, but cannot top up on T212 so not exactly a mirror any more! It does make me wonder if some manipulation is going on?
I suppose given the terrible spreads on T212, the likes of MANO and CRL have never been that attractive on the platform.
Very helpful LittleJimmy. Very grateful for these insights and data.
No worries. so yeah, the 0 is their current holding and the -250548 is the change. i have no idea of their underlying holders but i would guess that MANO was held across client accounts on a particular model and they have just grown tired with the performance or the stock no longer meets the minimum requirements to be held within the portfolio, so they are forced to sell.
with stocks that are as illiquid as MANO and quote driven by MM's it doesn't take much to drive the price down if you have a forced seller of large size. the rest of the market cottons on pretty quickly to it and they in turn call their screen prices lower until eventually, the size seller either shifts their stock piecemeal all the way down, or the stock finds a level that is appealing to buyers and a block gets traded to clear the seller. of course, this in turn scares holders out of the stock and in some cases, rightly so. conversely, if there's any good news or a large buyer that comes in, this stock will move upwards as fast as it went down.....unless there are still large seller(s) waiting for liquidity.
Thanks Jimmy, very helpful!
Is the second column the change? If so then yes looks like Killik - or one of their account holders - sold out big time.
It’s hard to know how much to read into this. The share performance has been terrible, people may be fed up, or need the money for other things. Do they have some particular insight into future performance that others don’t? Hard to know :-(

Me too please LittleJimmy - where do you get the Killick and PH data from please ?
Where do you see those numbers for killik and PH?
Da_Master do you know why that cap exists? Does it exist for other shares?
Why not move to a different platform (e.g. II) that doesn't have such caps?
Do we really think there are 1000s of investors out there that would buy more MANO if only their Trading 212 account would let them?
Has been around for months. i see that Killik have sold out of their 250k shares. peel still hold 790k, unless they are selling. there's no reason for this to be so low other than a size seller in an illiquid stock that has decided they don't care about the SP. any good news and these will fly....until the seller wakes up again
So we have investors on here hesitant to average down and I - like thousands of others - can't buy any more in my Trading 212 account because of the ridiculously low cap of 554 shares; yet we scratch our heads wondering why the price is going down???
Hello oldbutnowisa, thank you for the comments. The thing is I've heard for years that good news will become "apparent in some six to nine months". But it hasn't. Maybe this time it will be different! In any case, I don't want to sell at these prices as I don't think the company is going bust. Equally though, I can't bring myself to add any more (I've also had bites on the way down), which I ordinarily would do, because I've lost faith and am concerned about throwing good money after bad. Averaging down has not been a winning strategy for me over the past 2 years, but I suppose at some point it will become one. Btw, great that you've put a portfolio together for your son - v impressed with that.
Hello unhooked,
I know the feeling! I am a retired solicitor and thought these were a great money machine. I have had at least two bites on the way down and really feel, after reviewing the last two RNSs, that the market has not really understood them.
This year they are doing well and expanding, but the effect of this will only start to be apparent in some six to nine months and they don't fall over themselves with updates. My p/f is not really for me but my son who is mentally disabled so I maintain a fairly strict level of discipline over my more adventurous side! If they fall to under £1 though, and other stuff in the p/f allows me, then I might get tempted yet again. Best of luck matey!
Nobody wants our shares, that's what happened. I imagine investors are losing patience. It's understandable. Over the past 4 years profitability has been going only one way - downwards. This was supposed to be a counter-cyclical play, but whether in good times or bad, MANO has turned out to be a badly underperforming business... they always seem to have an excuse, but, frankly, these are wearing thin. I'm a holder.
