BERENBERG CUTS MITCHELLS & BUTLERS PRICE TARGET TO 350 (430) PENCE - 'BUY'
Well donr Boris, as predicted by yours truly on 24th.
Let it be now and let it ride to normalisation.
Next stage forget about isolating with a cough and sniffles as that is all it is for majority of folks.
Looks like New Year will go ahead without further restrictions (per the Torygraph) so at least another dip it avoided and MAB will make the best of New Years Eve etc.
Omicron is giving herd immunity and virus potency seems to be on the wane (as regards mortality and hospitalisations. Meanwhile normal annual flu deaths are minimal compared to other years in the UK and worldwide.
Seems that Seasonal flu will now be rebadged omnicron and regular vaccines will suffice going forward.

With your recent prediction of £2, I am really hoping that you are not a pension fund manager
Now it’s gone down this far, it seems to have 200p written all over it…..so my buy order is in for 2 quid…..
Wish you good fortune but unfortunately i think you should have waited, bottom not called here. Not long to find out, entering an uncertain fortnight waiting for scientific feedback. Markets hate uncertainty above nearly all else. Gl
Been watching this for weeks, so couldn’t resist the opportunity to join the club in this AM’s panic. Need to sit back and be patient now. GLA

Pete the Trader, sned your friends to a Wetherspoons
3 hours ago
JD Wetherspoons has revealed it will slash prices on several of its drinks to 99p next month despite inflationary pressures.
The pubco said on Wednesday that from 1-30th November customers will be able to snap up a pint of Ruddles Best or Greene King IPA - or a dram of whisky - at the bargain price at over 700 Wetherspoons venues.
All Wetherspoons pubs will be lowering their prices on a range of drinks in the month, with those in Scotland offering a pint of real ale for £1.10 due to minimum unit cost laws.
Support for pubs.
Draught relief, lower rates. Great news all round it seems.
Budget 50% cut to business rates from pubs & hospitality. Every little helps.
Alcohol duties.
System outdated, a mess so....radical change.
Steps
1 Slashing number of duty rates from 15 to 6, stronger the drink, the higher the rate.
2 Small brewers relief .3 Lower sparking wines duties.
market loves the budget on drink tax reductions. should have bought some today
Trouble with this country is the south and south east dragging this country down my local mab is very good great staff with great service at any price
"I think that people have woken up to the fact that if hospitality have to pay “fair” wages that the price of a pint will be raising to £7-£9 which is not going to be acceptable to UK customers. What does M&B do in this situation? Continue to pay low wages and have poor customer service and early closures or up salaries and prices and see what happens?"
I visited one of my regular spots a couple of days ago.
To my surprise, prices had gone down. A large class of wine had been reduced from £6.20 to £5.50. Beers on tap had also been reduced by almost 10%. They are now doing Camden Hells for £4.20.
Where I live, people are clearly not prepared to pay £5 for a pint. Anyone charging £7 for a pint would go out of business in a matter of weeks.
In London and some other more affluent parts of the country £7 could be feasible. However, I doubt that many people would be happy to pay £9. Majority would just choose to drink at home.
It would be interesting to see how you calculate that the price of a pint will have to rise to £9 a pint.

This share has lost about 25% since the pubs first reopened.
Many posters keep on saying how well the hospitality sector is doing. However, if it;s doing so well, we are not seeing it in share prices of MAB or Marstons.
As I hold shares in both, it would be in my interest if these shares rose.
Unfortunately I think it is likely to be a bit of a rocky road.
Yep, some posters on here are clueless !
You were right about the 5%, just not the direction.
We will this was tipped up in the mail on Sunday
we could see another 5% tomorrow, nice
