well done
''tomorrow, dragging LLOY and others down with it.''
''LLOY looks fairly valued right now, at 7 x PE, etc etc etc etc..''
Could therefore by a positive day tomorrow, and for the rest of the year.
LLOY looks fairly valued right now, at 7 x PE, broadly in line with the global bank average. Dont forget the car-loan DCA scandal is just a few months away from a ruling by the FCA, with costs potentially soaring into the billions. And Labour are shaping up for a whole new world of envy politics in 2025, such as a bank windfall tax, extra pension tax, and extra landlord tax. There's plenty of reason to be cautious.
My fallout bunker is banks, one of which is lloyds, which are doing very well.
Kudos for selling Landlord Lloyd’s shares above 40p 🙂👍
Apparently well stocked in his fallout bunker!
Really? Says who 'stickytoffeepudd' or the likes. Let's bet our thousands on these pretenders! Motleyfool suggests the lloy mid term so was downgraded to something like 55p or something. This is UP from where we are. Based on financials, this share is still undervalued but the markets are 'gloomy' hence overall sp values are on the low side. Day to day fluctuations? I can manage. 40p? What are you expecting a pandemic to hit tomorrow??!
LLOY may dip back into the 40s in the coming days. The Meta (Facebook) results and forward guidance this evening are an absolute train wreck. FTSE100 futures suggest the index will tumble back under the 8000 level tomorrow, dragging LLOY and others down with it.
Got somewhat concerned yesterday reading a genuine analysis suggesting lloy not as well placed as other banks. Thought I would ride the storm this week and guess what. We are UP today! As much as people spout we are going down. Not read this forum til now. Honestly half the time I read these sorts of post it convinces me these people are trying to scare people in order to get an entry point. Good luck with that! You failed....
Mvarawa. you got that idiot sticky t pud just where you want him, you have him every time lol.
Dow is in negative territory at the moment, The FTSE feeling dizzy from the new high.
Tomorrow is another Day.....Wait & See
A LOT OF DISPARAGING COMMENTS REGARDING THE FIGURES,BUT I GET THE IMPRESSION A LOT OF PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD ARE NOT INVESTORS,AND WOULD BE BETTER EMPLOYED GOING TO LADBOKES WHERE YOU COULD GET INSTANT GAINS AS A LONG TERM INVESTOR I WAS QUITE PLEASED WITH THE FIGURES FOR MANY REASONS FIRSTLY A BUYING OPPORTUNITY TO GET A NEAR 6% YIELD one that will continue until the new year ALSO WE ARE ENTERING A PERIOD OF BELT TIGHTENING SO THE DROPS WERE BETTER THAN COULD HAVE BEEN AND ON TOP OF THIS THE FIGURES AND PROJECTIONS CAUSE A HEADACHE FOR SIR KEITHS STUTTERS WINDFALL TAX,, BUSINESS NEEDS LIFE BLOOD AND A TAX WHICH WOULD BE IMPOSED ON A FALLING PROFIT WOULD DRAIN THAT BLOOD AWAY though the idea maybe election pie in the sky as I noted again last night Stutter declared that Rwanda was a gimmick and not the answer which was pretty stupid thing to say without offering a solution that is better NO I STILL THINK THAT LONG TERM THIS SHARE IS A INCOME HORSE AND WILL CONTINUE TO INVEST AT LEAST 10% OF MY BUDGET EACH YEAR INTO ADDING THE HORSEY ON A FINAL NOTE DID ANYONE READ DEEP ENOUGH TO GET A FEEL FOR THE PROGRESS AND CONTRIBUTION BROUGHT TO THE TABLE OF CITRA LIVING
A politician from the Irish Republic, complaining that, as she says, 80% of the immigrants entering the Republic are coming through the border with the North.
A border that the Republic insisted should remain open to free movement, during the Brexit negotiations .
Another example of putting short sighted small brained idiots in a position of power, soon it will be the UKs fault ! it is never the Irish is it.
Sick
''StickyToffeePudd is a Champagne Socialist.''
More like Guinness when he goes 'back home' and Sangria in Spain
Please SickRanchez, 'Champagne Socialist' sounds so common, rather, one thinks of oneself, as a 'Bollinger Bolshevik'.

"Lloyds has started the year doing what it needed to. Don’t focus on the year-over-year numbers too much. Yes, the drops look substantial from this time last year, but that’s been expected for some time. The environment is simply not as favourable as it once was. Markets look forward not back, and an improving UK economic environment along with resilient borrowers gives scope for optimism."
Kendalsc,
