Agree with you Jonah and Mikie. Almost all of what you said. The only thing I can maybe disagree on is the amount of excitement between us and LC.
Like expectant parents all of us
I’ve got a feeling we’re gonna get a surprise quarterly report like we did last year. So much going on- Leon will be more excited than us!
Mikie, think you’re getting ahead of yourself in all your excitement! An operational update is likely to be a couple of weeks after March so more likely 6-8 weeks away! On the other hand I am equally excited and can’t wait! Proof will be in the publishing!
Totally agree JLPP. Copper has to be prioritised. It will fund all kinds of growth that we know about and don’t know about! Although Jonah has a point about Kabwe, however the longer it runs the cheaper buyout we may get for 12 percent royalty! Leon is proving to be a master tactician in these matters. Current matters - interims due around 3 weeks time? Maybe followed by projects update ( surprise quarterly report again)? Maybe followed by a more detailed broker note( allowing for all the recent growth)? Maybe followed by a decent jump in the share price? An awful lot going on at the moment- so much growth- plenty of spinach being consumed this quarter- will see a super sized Jubes next quarter!
Well said JLPpositive, patience the key here now. Ducks are al lined up.
I entirely agree with your point that copper is going to be the major earner in Zambia, but the success of this and future operations is critically dependent on maintaining good relations with the government. The zinc circuit is a necessary prelude to processing the lead at Kabwe and hence making a unique contribution to the cleanup of pollution there which is a stated priority of the government. We should not underestimate its Importance for our whole future in Zambia.

The 356 843 tonnes of Zinc tailings will be the rounding in terms of financial numbers for Jubilee compared to the 300 000 000 (Three hundred million) tonnes of copper tailings.
Jubilee went into Zambia initially for the Zinc, Vanadium and Lead and "fell" into Copper thanks to the acquisition of the Sable refinery. The enormous increase in Copper price from $3 000 to over $9 000 per tonne will for some time keep zinc, vanadium and lead in the backround. If it happens in the 3rd quarter of this year that will be great. Roan and Elephant is where the money will be free flowing soon.
It's going to be fun fun fun year soon, dyor and join the party here.
Current status on the website is also saying Q3 for zinc production to start, so sometime between July and September. Not sure what’s happening with star zinc though. I haven’t been paying much attention on that, but don’t remember seeing any news that the licence has been granted.
Don’t think it’ll be an issue for us though, we’ve more than enough tailings to be getting on with whether or not star zinc is ready to supply extra material this year.
Seems like a plan is coming together GLR/JLP!
Leon said it was about 45% complete in a recent interview and will be operational in Q3 as Jonah mentioned
Thanks Jonah,
Do you know what forum this was mentioned in?
Last I heard Ella was that the zinc circuit was delayed due to Covid-induced border restrictions. I did wonder, however, whethter that was a bit of an excuse to fend off criticism whilst we got on with copper stuff. In any event, Leon is on record as saying there will be progress on zinc in Q3 2021.
Is anyone able to let me know what the last communication about the JLP zinc circuit was? Afraid I'm not a shareholder here but curious from GLR point of view.
