Way2L8, I'm not arguing with your guess, but can you put any meat on the bone as to how you get to £7 ?
I've always thought £5-£10 in a few years based on the factory filling up consistently. So it feels like the current SP is a little ahead of the game to me. I totally understand the demand for shares in this company based on its future potential and there's only a limited supply particularly with so many of us unwilling to part with our shares. But each buyer wants to feel like there's a positive return in it for them. If they're buying at £7 by the end of the year then what is their future price target and also what are they basing that future price on other than future factory builds and/or factory expansion when we haven't even completed the first one yet?
On current trends does not seem unreasonable.
This is the Velocys project with BA and Shell supporting...

By the end of this year
Sory Jj to answer your question specifically re the SP, as I said in an earlier post, I think that given they follow progress set out on their web site. I would hazard a guess that it will be around £7.00
Jimmy jeee, I'm at one with SatellitePro on this one. I think the SP will track the rising market but at the head of the pack. If it keeps innovating the way it has been, its USPs will ensure a lead against the competition. Competitors will have their own USPs, but they will carve their own niche markets, I believe ITM Power will remain the superior product overall. Infrastructure roll out is a limiting factor but ITMs products are useful in so many other fields of industry that it reduces that risk somewhat The real danger is a takeover! Yes, it will mean a substantial payout for share holders (depending on how many hunters make up the pack) but nowhere near the reward ITM would return if it is allowed to make its own way in the global market.
Assuming it is not bought out, the market for H2 is growing exponentially for the foreseeable future and the SP will track upwards in parallel. The only limiting factors I can see are competition and rate of infrastructure roll out.
What sp do you think it could reach realistically ?
Ditto. We have a lot protected but not all and that part is growing rapidly - not complaint though. Have added NEL, Ballard and CWR but not PHE based on Airproducts costly experiment with gamification (£1bn) but hope it works for those who are in. Decided to go with Velocys instead; also burning waste plastic, wood waste etc but to provide jet fuel. BA and Shell are part funding in a small way so it must have passed some due diligence with them.
I am safe as far as Capital gains tax is concerned because I have used PEPs then ISAs to their maximum each year. Pensions (SIPPS and drawdowns) are a different matter, but at least if I go first it's a problem for the wife and kids.
Way2 - I am in the same boat as you. Short term trading was not my play on this one -- just accumulate steadily and glad I did - no regrets! Can sell up to CGT limits at a much later stage or eventually transfer to kids tax free but with a held over gain. M
Hi Mr Rodney, very nice story. My dad is Static, I am dynamic. I chose ITM shares (company) reading ITM chat from people like you and Mr PSmith64. It is fun to trade and build up your own shares with my dad's money. Have a good day.
Thanks guys. Having been here 16 years I’m quids in whatever. I’m not complaining I just want to put the sprinkles on the icing on the cherry on the cake. I’m looking at a major CGT bill next year unless I buy back within the next few weeks. This thing , whilst going up strongly , has been like the proverbial wotsits draws so I’m pretty sure a drop will come , plus I do want to keep a significant holding. You don’t keep the faith for this amount of time then just walk away completely. Just hope I’m ready for the drop as I don’t like setting limit orders. Nice problem I guess. GLA
I have been a long term advocate of ITM Power telling family and friends time and time again over the years to get invested, only to be laughed at indulgently or eye rolled and mock yawned. Yeh yeh yeh we know, one day Rodney. But I continued to diligently accumulate on the dips and now have a significant (for me) holding. Guess what? I am being inundated with advice from all and sundry about what I should do. Sell now, sell what you invested, get out while you can still make a profit. All from people who laughed and s******ed and are now experts. They are amazed when I say I expect to see the SP at least double by the end of the year. How can you possibly know? I can't I say, but it's what I believe! and I believe it because I have studied the circumstances that have surrounded this company's rise in fortunes. These circumstances are now a powerful driver and I am not about to walk away because all my friends and relatives are suddenly so concerned that I have to follow their advice. It was hard enough listening to the jibes and jokes over the years, even if they were made in a fond way, I am not going to do a U-turn now. I guess what I am saying is never has dyor made more sense to me than now. I did, I am and will continue to do so and only when I think it is time to sell, some or all will I do so. You should do only what you want to do and if you make a poor decision, don't regret it, learn from it, that way at least all will not have been lost. Rant mode off, thanks for listening.
Buy and sell, and PROFIT x 3 = keep in ITM shares.
I have been doing that in the last 3 months, and now I am comfortable with a few thousand shares of average price around 180. Good luck
Just pretend it's a share you never heard of before. Eases the pain:-)
The landscape has changed now rather dramatically - there may be a correction or it might keep going or be bought out. My bet is on the latter 2. If you really believe in ITM my advice would be to get back in before it is too late.
Can’t believe I’m saying this as a LTH but when is this thing going to drop? I really need to buy back in having sold quite a few tranches in the last weeks expecting the typical fall back. Apologies to those who are more recently invested.
