Fully agree. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush ..... unless there was never a bird in the hand!
I have visions of Deja vu. Just like last year we we led to believe IM FID was imminent for 2 caverns but then "a more lucrative deal was offered/available", and we all know how that turned out! Logically, JWs arguement sounds reasonable but it's gambling yet again. Would we prefer less of something or possibly nothing of anything at all. Plus more delay, greater uncertainty, inevitable extra and large H&W running costs, while they wait to secure the work for which they were primarily purchased, so we were told.
If I remember correctly, about a year ago JW walked away from equity partners for a preferred equity partner. Now we go through the same again but this time with a SP that is about half of what it was then. When this all comes together it best be very good. Patience is usually rewarded and some have been very patient indeed.
I am disappointed with todays RNS & wish they had carried on with what was its planned funding.
I do not have the Companies faith in Government funding when we have not even started on the trade deal & with a 'No - Deal' Brexit hanging over the UK.
Insane decision.
Itβs interesting.... government backed scheme...backing from Julian Smith...why not wait for a better deal...we will move on with the Barrow project...this will be positive..H&W contracts soon also
Well I must admit I did think there was something going on, and probably has for a while.
Tis the season to be jolly.......tra la la la lah, la l la lah!

A new storage milestone list .
H&W contracts
2020 is going to be great ,
Is so upbeat at present , we are going to motor in 2020.
Hooray the eu leave bill passes today , the remoaners are *ucked
Si. Why the secrecy? If, as you say, then only the BOD can answer that! Perhaps they errorred or maybe they are saving up little pieces of good news to announce strategically, because the big pieces have stalled on the full ML? Maybe that's just the world we live today........how many people do we know that REALLY "tell it like it is"? Let alone on AIM, where Adam (as in Adam and Eve), inventor of the first lie, would be ashamed!
Speedy,
1: I actually posited that Stena may be the contractee in my post 06 Dec 2019 17:38, with links to previous contracts.
Why the secrecey?
2: Maybe not. But...
Why the secrecey?
Both would have possibley allayed fears that things weren't moving forward with H&W. Or certain delays were due to getting order books and positions filled. I appreciate just how damned hard JW and team are doing, but would it have been in any way detrimental in either case?
Don't know, maybe it's just me that would like to be invested in just one company that kept it's shareholders up to date. And not find out pertinent information sourced by others in some random press article.
Anyhoo, rant over, best get to bed. Or maybe I'll wait for a bit and check out the RNS. ;)
Cheers.
Sad to see the overall level of frustration and concern amongst such a varied and interesting group of well informed long and more recent SHs. It's been my pleasure to share them. I also share those same feelings. Where did it start?
Since it was revealed earlier this year that the ML application was incomplete the project momentum and SP has suffered greatly. Ironic that JW now quotes "maintaining momentum" when refering to the same licence! End of rant 1.
Overall I'm relieved with DAERAs decision to press (slowly) ahead and this confirms JW does his homework to avoid pointless procedural delays. Pity the same cannot be said about his recent preset milestones! End of rant 2.
I was intrigued with JWs comments in yesterday's RNS:
1. "Completion of the entire process is expected to lead to converting the existing draft marine licence to a full marine licence as well as updating the current abstraction and discharge licences.
Glad to see JW confirming the additional licences WILL be updated at the same time and not require additional due process as previously stated by the scaremongering protestors.
3. "Now that the public consultation dates are fixed, we will be able to schedule other activities to fit in around these dates. We will provide further project updates in the coming days."
What activities could those be? Could those updates be the missing Nov milestones?
I trust JW does find the odd minute of bedside reading to relax with his smaller, though very loyal, LTHs thoughts here. Maybe his conscience is whispering in his ears?!
Now that JWs Q4 milestones and the hopes they raised are looking increasingly unlikely, I've decided to forward to a much happier New Year where targets are set in concrete, objectives are reached conclusively and bank balances BALLOON! Merry Christmas all!
Spud. Commendable find.
Si. I'd agree with most of your comments but isn't it possible:
1. The Dec 5th contract award is a new one and Stena line did have a previous (arrangement/contract) from last year, probably on a renewal basis, so not necessary to include in that RNS?
2. I could be wrong on this but, MUST the details of non-BOD new employees be included in a RNS?
Great find Spud.
But isn't anyone just a little bit miffed that again we have to find out company details in the press.
New staff, more ship contracts and the company names... Guess we will be having another forced RNS quite soon.
Unless thats the news eluded to by JW in this mornings RNS. If so why not put it in todays RNS.
Don't get me wrong, it's great for H&W that order books getting filled and all that, and at least it's not details of a placing this time. But, it just shouldn't be released to anyone until it's RNSed to the bloody shareholders. IMVHO
Just what we needed ..best find of the evening !!
Good bit of info in that article Ban!
3 more ships coming to yard (stena line)
Some details of who's who in the new management team
Nice find Spud!

Naz. Thank you very much for lightening the current mood........ Merry Xmas!
Si_ agreed, I am expecting one more delay and that is execution of FID being March, But the outline detail should be with us within a week, JW et al have the dates now to release the engineering docs and the equity partner has a due date for the ML no reason now for delays to atleast draft FID.
Tango, ;)
BTW, I agree with your analysis re Mcap and H&W. Was penning something similar earlier when your post stopped me.
If it all goes to plan the cost of H&W would be negateted in savings in Capex over the various "projects".
Radders- can't see any money until there is certainty- too risky when talking hundreds of millions, Once ML is given (which I am 90% confident of) it will be like a light switch to the SP- got a feeling the FSRU will be agreed before though- which is still a lot of work for H&W and probably the same value to INFA.IMHO
LMAO!
You better be careful with all that paint and thinners then Naz.
Bit early to be on the vino, don't you think. :)
naz-Get stormont up and running then maybe these concerns will be sorted along with many others. IMHO
Part time firemen in carrickfergus .
Many cuts to fire service.
Will there be enough cover in the county Antrim area if a disaster was to occur let alone a house fire.
