Lots of good info here, especially the GMB pdf.
Jeremy Quin The Minister of State at the Ministry of Defence confirms, "we are open to the principle of international partners working alongside UK firms for the bid.”
IMHO these ships WILL be built on UK shores and the fact that international partners are being invited surely benefits the UK/MOD, in cost/competitiveness and in efficiency. Team Resolute looking good at this early stage........
I note that the Rona has been berthed at BD1 since 11.25 on 29 September andis not due to leave until 12.00 on the 8 October. Does anyone know what or where BD1 is.
ThisTimeNextYeer In relation to your 17.18 post thanks for that do you know is there anywhere you can find a list of what all the berth codes mean?
Stokey. SRQ is the ship repair quay. It's part of the H & W site in Belfast harbour and where the remaining Viking Cruise ship is also berthed.
Hi stokey12 - I am not sure where SRQ is either but at present Seatruck Performance is where vessels getting worked on by H&W dock & based on following link this is the vessel that was grounded earlier this year which may need additional work. The vessel is owned by SEATRUCK FERRIES LTD & accounts for Y/E 31st December 2019 have just been filed & the ultimate holding company is in the Bahamas.

Chrisatrdg - In relation to your 14.36 post on checking on https://booking.belfast-harbour.co.uk/ it is shown as berthed at SRQ until 13.00 on Monday. I am not sure where SRQ is.
Seatruck arrives today at H&W

Stokey12 .yes wonderful find and post ...again ..interesting indeed to have some in depth expert guidance as to exactly what they are doing with our Canadian visitor ...There are pictures on the H&W Facebook pages too !!Both ships currently in dock look superb after the paint jobs !!
On Wednesday the following is down In the Lords (12:00) questions to ministers cover the shortage of social care workers, value for money to the taxpayer of building the new fleet solid support ships in the UK or overseas.' I shall try and ksten to it.
Lol! Post of the year so far goes to Si! Well done sir and have a good weekend
Apparently, "It's quite technical around the aft end because it has to be in the right type of tolerance."
Yeah, I've heard you have to be careful back there. ;)
Great post Stokey. It's good to get an update directly from yard manager on the works being completed on Oceanex.
Thanks for all your ongoing info posts recently as well, they're all greatly appreciated.
wondering what the Oceanex Connaigra is in the yard for this tweet shuld tell you https://twitter.com/Harland_Wolff1/status/1312048721262149632
An article that might be of interest https://www.newsletter.co.uk/business/consumer/ni-chambers-inviting-suppliers-meet-buyer-deadline-2989437
In one of its research notes Cenkos states 'Routine dry docking of cruise ships for class inspection, technical maintenance, and compliance with regulations typically occurs every two to five years (depending on their classification and age), with dockings normally lasting for between one to two weeks, at an average cost of c£2m per day.' According to https://booking.belfast-harbour.co.uk/ under In Port the OCEANEX CONNAIGRA is showing as being berthed in BDD from 7/09 - 14/10 which by my calculations is something like 34 days that would seem to make the docking fees of c£68m. If that is correct I am not sure how much of the docking fees would go to INFA but that would seem to be a very large job.
Between now and when the results for the six months to 31 January 2020 are announced I am going to increase my holding. My reasoning is that if the earnings per share is as I expect/hope positive the share price will go up significantly.
Could not agree more, I was critical of the communication to shareholders but must admit it seems to be ramping up and the SP can only follow this positive position, with the news of possible roll out of covid vaccine next month (fingers crossed) things are starting to feel positive. GLA
Been quite an exciting day for news and the linked in snippets are the icing on the cake. "dry docking at capacity for the full month" not quite sure if it was September or October he is referring to but sounds great for revenue . Good Times rolling in its starting to feel like
A number of additions just look at the postings that go with it clearly JW is on a roll.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-wood-34601247/
Well done,Joe ..best to try another one ...for luck today !!
My 10000 buy is not showing yet
Yeah stokey very positive to hear JW saying the Secretary of State has "Gone to see if he can move it along a little bit quicker for us"
Hopefully the marine licence will is not too far off.
I did not have a chance to listen to the clip before posting the link to the tweet as I had a meeting to go to. Having listened to the clip I suspect that the marine license is likely to be approved within the next six weeks. It may have to be approved by Ministerial Direction but I doubt that it will be refused.
Brilliant update from JW. There is so much interest in InfraStrata from the UK government, Northern Ireland executive and the MOD.
Don't even need to join the dots here. IMO it is so obvious that Islandmagee and H&W is seen by all who matter as key drivers for the NI economy post brexit.
IMO the current £23m MCAP will seem a distant memory in 12months time.
Make that 35.15 blue day , I tell yah!
