I have registered for the November Roadshow. I might also do the London show next year.
3 ships, not 2 and his wording definitely seems to favour Team Resolute...........full steam ahead I say!

UK and Australia commit to shipbuilding partnership
'Australia and the UK have further strengthened their enduring defence relationship by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate on building and delivering the next generation of cutting-edge frigates.'

Edit: So much for future MOD contracts for UK shipbuilders.
"Let's do the TIMEWARP AGAIN",
there is talk of 4-5 projects for Appledore in January well they are not going to come on the 31st of December, so are we going to get an update?
INFA have definitely not been silent regarding the ML so what is the situation (Update)?
FSRU gone extremely quiet since the supposed 31/07/20 deadline so what's occurring (update)?
I understand the chocolate fireguard of a communications director has gone but surely somebody at INFA has there finger on the pulse and not up their jacksie that could communicate current standings? it seems the bigger INFA get the more silent , whatever happened to shouting from the rooftops?
I thought they got a QC to look over the application to ensure it was legally ok, and was told it was, I don't think they would have contacted DAERA.
I thought Infa had employed a local solicitor to query why the ML was taking so long - to get a formal legal opinion - thought this had been mentioned a few weeks ago ??? Anyone know anything further ????
Radders99 In relation to your 10.53 post it is up to INFA if they want to follow through on my email. I cannot see why they would not.
DAERA are certainly not looking like a very competent department, but I am sure if interest was placed from certain MP's it would get it moving...unfortunately most government departments are not driven by efficiency and effectiveness. IMO
Be great to get some questions asked. The Public Consultation has been closed for 7 months and in reality there has been no update or any indication of a timeline .. we could be sitting here same time next year having same discussion. COVID clearly has had an impact but I find it staggering why given we are in a recession everything possible isn’t being done to create jobs and encourage these projects. Basically WTF have DAERA been doing for 7 months ?
Oh for such an eloquent conversation with the other 'Gav" in ministerial office.
Very pleased to read between the lines there is genuine interest in what might be the holdup.
Great to see Gavin reply, I am a bit confused however as we have been told that it is the ministers responsibility to make the decision and DAERA is only to form an opinion???
Just to prove me wrong I have just received this reply. Obviously Northern Ireland MPs are more engaging than thier English counterparts.
'Whilst the Island Magee project is not in my constituency but rather East Antrim, Infrastrata certainly do have a foot print in mine and the two are at one level, intertwined.
I presume however that the Marine License does not fall to the Northern Ireland Office but rather the Department of Agriculture Environment and Rural Affairs with input from the Department of Economy in Northern Ireland. With that in mind, NIO Ministers have no involvement in the process and any debate would be superficial at best.
More particularly, I would be keen to understand where the process is at present, what the most recent correspondence received is and I will happily follow up with the relevant Departments locally.
Kind regards
Gavin'
Stokey12, In my view INFA will have a much larger potential customer base without the EU regulations, It would be nice to have EU opportunities but the way the pound is, we are already very attractive to over seas customers, especially when you are talking Billion pound contracts. The door is about to open to the rest of the world.
AIMHO
With the UK leaving the EU at the end of this year when the transitional period is over INFA will no have a base in a EU country. When it comes to tenders for ship repair work the EU might want to keep the work within EU countries this would shut INFA out. In those circumstances does anybody think that INFA might want to buy a european shipyard so as to be in a position to bid for EU tenders?
Brilliant !!!!!!
Chrisatrdg In relation to your 10.28 post the following is the text of an email I have sent to Mr Robinson. If I get a response I will let you know. Hopefully I will get brownie points for having found the dates Northern Ireland Ministers are responding to debates in Westminister Hall.
'Dear Mr Robinson
While I am not personally one of your constituents I am a shareholder in Infrastrata PLC which is I believe in your constituency. One of the projects that Infrastrata has is the Gas Storage project. It is my understanding that the principal hold up in this project is the awaiting of a Marine License. With the approach of BREXIT I am concerned that any continual delay in the bringing forward of this project may have an adverse effect on the ability to ensure that the UK and Northern Ireland have a secure supply of gas. I note that the Northern Ireland Ministers are responding to Westminster Hall debates on 10th and 1th November. I was wondering if you would be prepared to lead a Westminster Hall debate on the issue.
Although I have not consulted Infrastrata before sending this email I am copying them in on this email.'

Giving Scotland more contracts would increase the divide and not "LEVELLING UP" which is what was the conservative pledge.
Given the regular delays seen at the Scottish Yards and the amount of work they already have, I would think giving them more work when there are empty/struggling yards may be seen as foolhardy. IMHO
Hmm ??.. Good one,Darryl.. Like your objectivity and you shared dislike of ****!!
My thoughts Dawski are that Nicola Sturgeon will be firmly beating the drum for Scottish independence whether Boris sends work up north or not.
If there's no, or very little government contract work that goes over the border it gives her the opportunity to play the neglected, poor ignored us, victim card. Obviously this then encourages her to beat her independence drums ever louder. (You might guess I'm not a NS fan, lol).
Boris being Boris though, he'll do what he wants and might just say 'you couldn't please her whatever Scotland got, she'd still say it wasn't enough'. He could then simply say the majority of the work is going to where they see as the most suitable company and location, be this Scotland or any part of the UK. If it's not Scotland he would maybe just say, so be it, and be not too concerned with it.
Although I'm only invested in INFA (which includes H & W obviously) and none of the other shioyards, BAE, Bab, etc, I'd still though like to see government contracts spread throughout the UK yards. Like H & W, Rosyth and Scotstoun are long established yards with a skilled workforce and a great history and I wouldn't want them to close.
Surely there is enough government work to go round and build the whole of the UK to the industrial powerhouse it once was.
Soz Dawski, reading this back, I don't think I've given any thoughts on what I think might happen, only what I'd like to see happen.
......Will Scottish Nationalism have any effect on Government Policy building UK ( or Disunited K as the case may be ?) at Rosyth or Scotstoun ..Answers after supper please !!
Stokey, good find there ,thanks for link
Stokey. As Jabido says Gavin Robinson is the DUP minister for East Belfast (where H & W is located). I don't know him personally but have exchanged pleasentaries with him at several functions in previous years.
He's a very articulate guy, being a barrister by trade, and he's very well respected by the community in East Belfast for representing his constituents. I would imagine he's very approachable whether youre a constituent or not. It certainly comes across that he would be.
Another minister is Edwin Poots (DUP) who is the minister for Agriculture and the individual that makes the final ML decision . Again, he has a reputation in N Ireland as being a guy who works hard for the average working man / woman in the province.
Brandon Lewis is the Secretary of State for N ireland and he's been at H & W several times since he's became S.O.S.
I would imagine the INFA folks are lobbying who they can including the above guys.
It would be interesting if you got any responses from these politicians however I wouldn't hold out on getting any information that isn't in the public domain already, even though I'd imagine they may have a fair idea what may or may not be in the offing.
I was reading this https://www.marketbeat.com/stocks/LON/INFA/ what I found interesting is the book value.
