One of those days, 1st computer decided it didn't start properly so has gone into startup repair that can take hours. Backup computer decided to install updates and performa clean. Online with seconds to spare before opening of market. Still, grabbed a little mark up for the morning bounce.
Where the longer term holding buy price will be, I don't know, might not even occur today. There was a lot of work preventing the slide yesterday so I want to see whether the traders come into alingment and today or whether the stall is set up for the budget. It does look like a large part of the market is trying to underpin the share at upper levels. but it does 'feel' like there is a very heavy weight on top of the spike.
Now wait..............
sell at 191.75 also rejected, had to accept 190ish
Taken profits
bought 2 tranches at 1.83 and 1.86. back in with 50% dry powder. so up or down not fussed....

Next target date budget, March 3rd.
26th Feb now gone. Forward march by the left.....

Morning all
TP.
You're correct re liquidity. BUT don't over look debt. Debt has to be repaid. The terms of the 2 bill loan are very good, but what about the remaining debt? That would be my concern. However, I appreciate that they've been inventive in raising capital so they're here to stay, we knew that any way. But the debt pile is growing.
It's still a strong buy and hold for me, but I'm going to keep an eye on the debt repayments.

Interesting day

IT was expected i doubt that it will drop much today -- IMO low 175/6 close of play 179
Regardless of RNS all shares going south first thing,
Good Point by @Always in club. Does anyone know how much IAG have issued in 'voucher credits'? And have they put many restrictions on them?
I really hope this doesn't go south for day traders on here, for LTH I still think you'll be flying high!!
What was that versus market expectation? I'm sure we weren't expecting a profit :)
TO 8snt that from the debt they've taken and pension deferral
@Alwaysinclub
I always wonder about all the hype with bookings.
New money? Or credits being used up?
Imagining a mix.
Hold on tight its gonna be a bumpy ride
Whole market down today and some extra i guess for RNS, AVERAGE DOWN TIME AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!
Amongst the bad, don't overlook the good -
'At 31 December, the Group's liquidity was €10.3 billion including a successful €2.7 billion capital increase and £2 billion loan commitment from UKEF. This is higher than at the start of the pandemic.'
HIGHER liquidity than at the start.
Good luck if you jump back in.
Yes, vaccines rolling out but new Californian version of Covid may, may get round vaccines. We need USA routes to open and soon.
I sold half my holding yesterday - I am just not sure so wanted to protect some of the gain.
I am pleased I did, the passenger pick up is less than I was hoping for. They had been very inventive on shoring up their balance sheet, but if passengers are not coming back or the vaccination passports and programmes don’t accelerate, then the cash burn will just continue on. Plus I would like to see how they are going to manage the backlog in customer credit vouchers! I have about £6k still to use so won’t be paying cash for an airline seat for the next year anyway!
That's a big loss but I see many exceptional items in there and with Vacc program moving swiftly and restructuring, this SP might not fall that much, depends on how market interprets delay to pick up in pax numbers...
What thinks ya'll?
GLA to holders, might jump in again!
