Thes sp has more or less flatlined since before midday. The news will have been priced in soon enough.
The 'bots are operate fine (!) when the market is ticking along 'normally'; however when a piece of news arrives they go into meltdown.

"Clearly Kerogen were impressed with Bob's homely presenting style too!"
What a childish comment. Take that chip off your shoulder.

Where is the bottom ? Where has that gravy has now settled. I have re-evaluated from 44-45p gravy bottom to 39p after the sell off
> Clearly Kerogen were impressed with Bob's homely presenting style too!
@IJWT : no, that would depend who kerogen have sold their chunk too.
and for what longer term reason ? given they retain a chunky holding and seat on board.
Clearly Kerogen were impressed with Bob's homely presenting style too!
Umbria = dumb
The trades in millions reported on HL at 8:59 for 46.5p I assume are the sale of the 110mill. I am Umbria apologies but how does this tie in with RNS statement that settlement is in 19th. What does settlement refer to - payment?
What I want to know is - the deal has been done? The shares have changed hands? Or will these 46.5p smaller sales continue keeping the sp down until they reach 110 mill?
Confused, PTS
Yes, Mr Tindrum....No sentiment in business....un't Nurthern boys love gravy......
Kerogen's sale is a private sale "outside of trading venue"not through the market. The price obviously has a short-term effect on the market price, but that is to be expected for a sale of this magnitude. what is more significant is where those shares have gone, they wont be in the hands of a market maker('cos that's a week or two supply at recent volumes)but at ~5% if as I expect they have all gone to a single holder we will see an RNS very soon,. The name on that RNS is significant and may well have a major effect going forward.
I think that this "sell off" by Kerogen is quite a deliberate strategy by the whole BOD (with a Kerogen Director) inorder to provide more liquidity in the market and less dependency on Kerogen as the largest shareholder, and ultimately to the benefit of the HUR LTH's and the sp, all as advised and carried out by Morgan Stanley!
Obviously Kerogen get a nice little bonus with a 300% profit on their 5% sold also, but that was NOT the reason, they sold for the long term benefit of the Company!? IMHO

This is not ethical trading ,we do this to make money not support the oil business.no morals here just the fun of making money .Stocks are a gamble ,fact. Especially AIM stocks
I sold at 53p ,sell on news bla bla worked again.
There we go,confirmation RNS.
It's far easier to do if you don't hold any shares.
On 17 July 2019, Kerogen announced that it had sold 110 million ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 46.5 pence per share. Following settlement, which is expected to take place on 19 July 2019, Kerogen will hold approximately 16.0 per cent of the Company's issued ordinary share capital. This residual holding will be subject to a lock-up period of 120 days, subject to customary exceptions.
Thnx WellWell.... That's a real skill, the pragmatic summary.
Longwait - Thanks for that counsel.
Having suggested it to my wife, and she just gave me "That Look !".
I am very much misunderstood....
Cryogenics ?
There are many ways to look at this. One one hand it's easy to question why a major holder would sell but on the other they were always going to sell at some point unless HUR are planning to pay a dividend. And any large sell is always going to be at a large discount.
Their holding could and has been viewed by many as a blocker and that relaxation might just be helpful longer term if a takeover is the end goal. Blah blah blah we'll see what happens in the coming days weeks months.
Double whammy with the oil price drop overnight, recovered slightly, tanker offload soon we are led to believe. Trading opportunity exists.
Weren't we told some brokers won't touch AIM listed shares for II's, it's hands off .... Understandable and possibly yet another reason, among many, why the share price is so sticky.... I think it's fair to say there hasn't been a stampede, but I haven't a clue how these things might work....
I agree, Daltry.
I suggest you invest in an extra-large freezer, make yourself comfortable inside, and set the timer to defreeze in about two years' time.
SP. It is like some fiendish Chinese torture from a book.
One day of joy and euphoria..... and then ten days of pain and suffering.
not saying that either approach to realising profits is right or wrong, just that it's all not so absolute.
Hopefully with Woodford supposedly out of the game backing CA they will not increase their holding by any sizable amount.
No. Kerogen, one of our longest and most stable institutional long term holders, is not "overweight".
I'm sure that like me and a few others here that I know of, our definition of overweight isn't necessarily the same as that of a gambler who enjoys a guess. As for realising a profit, there are different approaches to that, one is to continually gamble for multiple small stakes and small returns, another is to invest long term for the single bigger return on maturity.
