drillordrop,
" why is an offload important? The wells are delivering lots of oil, currently. Delivery is irrelevant, reserves are what is important."
Now you really are showing your stupidity. An offload is important because the FPSO only has limited storage capacity, and if it reaches that limit before the weather allows for a safe offload, production will have to be reduced or even stopped completely until the offload can take place. Which is never a good thing. Such events can be considered as 'downtime'.
" Hence the discussion on watercut"
Given that you are unable to understand the desirability of uninterrupted production with offloads performed regularly (cf the above), which I'd have thought a five-year-old would deduce easily, I reckon the odds of you understanding a thing about stuff like 'watercut' are millions to one. Against.
Exactly captainswag, the facts are that Lancaster iperformance is exceeding the base case scenario. Not my opinion, fact.
drillordrop - offload is important because that is what is providing the cash and shows the state of the well. Now if there had been an issue with the offloads i would be worried. the fact that it has produced better than expected and there has been no issue with the ramp up to 20k hopefully shows good things for the CMD.
So now that we know Petroatlantic is offloading her Kraken load it will be interesting to see how soon she departs Scapa for the AM offload.
Petroatlantic now manoeuvring alongside the tanker the North Sea.
Sorry, Miissdosh must have been posting at the same time.
The destination could be the tanker the North Sea.
John Rae pilot vessel pulling alongside the Petroatlantic looks as though she has found a home for her part cargo.
If you're quick ship watchers it looks like the Pilot has just boarded Petroatlantic.

Thanks all. I am a wet behind the ears beginner at this! I'll go back to my hoovering
I know you guys have it all sussed. For the benefit of others! What better way to spend your restful weekend ...
johnpwh,
Navion Oceania is due at Wilhelmshaven on 05/03/20 with a estimated cargo of 86707 metric ton
Petroatlantic and Navion Oveania are both carrying offloads. PA is showing a draught of 13.1m suggesting she is partially loaded and NO a draught of 15.3m indicating fully loaded.
The is still information stating that PA is due to arrive at a European port on the 28th from Lancaster, so I think we can disregard NO. The only problem is the EDT from Scapa is shown as 19.00 the 26th which really leaves insufficient time to make the short journey to Lancaster, complete the offload (1.5 days) and make the journey down the North Sea. So she will either have to leave Scapa on the 25th or at least very early on the 26th and if not the European arrival will be later than stated. The other question is will PA offload her Kraken cargo before she leaves for Lancaster. I do not know what remaining available capacity she has. She has not visited Flotta and there has been no ship to ship transfer. Luzon Spirit is due to arrive at Scapa tomorrow and now seems the most likely candidate for a ship to ship transfer. The weather throughout the week looks OK for offloading from the AM.
Navion Oceania has Estimated Deapartire (well its close) Date of 'TBA' with destination West Shetland according to my new favourite website

johnpwh: "You lot have turned me into a shipwatcher. Hurricane, Pah, turned me into a shipwatcher. I want my life back!"
Well, I'm certainly watching the Aoka Mizu just in case it sinks under the all that lovely new oil. Anyone got a spare Tanker doing nothing.................... please.
Ooops! It was in fact lonestag at the start of this thread. Sorry lonestag, senior moment. I have added the Orkney harbour website to my 'favourites'. If I every get my laptop seized by the fuzz for suspected nefarious activities they will pity me - no naked ladies just monumentally dull browsing history
JohnPWH- you will be rewarded in heaven........thank you....
The HUR SP doesn’t seem to think there is one......
The weather looks calmer this week but will take time for the swell to die down. Someone (sorry cant remember who, so apologies for not giving credit) linked to the Orkney Harbour website, that suggested Petroatlantic leaving on Wednesday and Navion Oceania also hanging out & chillin' (after returning from Glen Lyon so may have unloaded?).
You lot have turned me into a shipwatcher. Hurricane, Pah, turned me into a shipwatcher. I want my life back!
That can only be weather related ; bring it on.
The PETROATLANTIC which was suggested mid week, was the next tanker being used to unload the Aoka, has changed its departure date from the 23rd{Sunday}to the 26th Feb{Wednesday} so that would make it 36 days since the last unload...if this is the tanker being used.
