Could just be delayed reporting. Tbink youd have to wait and see monday afternoon of they update website
There's not mushroom for debate here guys... What a ride its been.
It was a joke but you never know
But my maths may be completely wrong so who knows!
I believe it was GDJX. If you do a rough calculation of what the newly assumed 0.66% of c.$6.7 billion USD would be in to GBP (of course not knowing what the exact exchange rate would be), minus the 5,088,200 shares they already list, then you get near enough spot on yesterday's large trade. Add in the UK one which has a different total assets figure, you get a deal nearly spot on another large buy.
Rough calculation is 126,797,325 shares needed at 0.66% of $6.7 billion (again not knowing exact figures beyond 6.7 billion or exchange rate), the figure of 5,088,200 already held plus 121,770,099 shares gives you 127,858,299 shares... Well within the margin of error and the ballpark... Happy to be wrong and have to see another large buy but I believe all the maths and timing point to it being Vaneck GDXJ.
If those 8 million share buys earlier in the week had been Vaneck, then surely as of 17th September they would have been showing more than 5 million shares in total?
Not married to this but if I were a betting man, Vaneck would get my £1!
Mushy, ha ! Like you I am drinking this English shampoo (bought by someone else!) in a chipped 1960s half pint glass to ensure I constantly remember where I came from - and where I could go in the future:) living the ride on ggp.
Hope your travelogue-like manor is comfy. Sorry we couldn’t meet.
We should get some answers on Monday but it seems to me that if something walks like aGDXJ, quacks like GDXJ and places GDXJ-size order at the usual GDXJ time, then it must be a duck... a GDXJ duck, that is!
Interesting question Jambo. They did it somehow.
What a good idea thedoors. I didn't think of that! The second bottle of Bishop's Finger had to suffice with two half price (yesterday) buns from Salt Bakery. I wonder if or when I will ever stop counting pennies?
Lots of talk about the sellers but Friday there was only 24 m shares sold so question is how was the big trade filled.
Mushy, just opened first bottle of sparkling Woodchester Valley Vineyard rose to celebrate the injury time netbuster ;)
With you in spirit !
What a cracking 'do' it would have been tonight thedoors after that late winning goal on Friday.
Ach.
I won’t sleep tonight if it wasn’t GDXJ after all ! OMG
GLA
My sleep pattern is all over the place these days. I don't have l2 but doesn't it show what the pre-opening price is on Monday morning? That would put the 21p v 27p battle to bed at least, as well as me!
As for who else might have been jockeying for shares on Friday evening, I guess we will find out in due course!
Hopefully it will be updated early on a monday
Why not email him about ggp prospects!! He has just invested into barrick gold on a big way!! That would really put ggp on the gold map!!!!
Mind boggling times , whole new ballgame here now . All will come out in wash .
@mickey "That’s why it needs to be considered as still showing very little bought on the VanEck list"
It's also still showing 9/17 (that's Thursday). They haven't showed Friday's transactions yet, so obviously it wouldn't show there yet.
I don't know, Mickey. I agree he's no dummy, though maybe a wee bit rampy.
Perhaps there's other stake-building going on (at times it looked like it) and he's heard about it, and mixing up other stake-building with GDXJ on Friday. It's not necessarily a case of either/or, it might be both. But Friday had to be GDXJ.
The 8 m chunks could easily have been MM to MM trades after the bell, but who cares as let’s just let the whole thing play out with hopefully good news on all fronts.
Huge safety net for many of us and we can relax and look forwards and upwards
No idea, maybe there is a second buyer accumulating as well.....who knows.... but all actual evidence points to a very high probability that the UT was GDXJ. Once VanEck update their daily holdings which i presume will be sometime before monday we should be able to see exactly how many shares they have.
So, I'm wondering who, in their right mind, would wait until the very end of the day to buy at a premium at precisely the same time we anticipated a purchase from the gdjx if it wasn't gdxj?
It seems pretty clear to me that it was gdxj and that they were short of 11 million shares, hence the downtrodden share price on the last day to help the mms scoop up the shares to facilitate the order.
That’s why it needs to be considered as still showing very little bought on the VanEck list .
I heard it was Warren Buffet hahaha
Ah, you thank me now, Mickey, but if I'm wrong you'll hate me!
If I'm missing something, hopefully someone will point it out. It would be mind-blowing if it weren't GDXJ.
