From the Ultra agile Barclays, everso smart investor people:
I have had a look into the details of the dividend, and can confirm that the payment date was 24/06 as you have mentioned. Please note, however, that this will be the date that the Genel registrars will issue the payment as a lump sum to us, as your nominee broker. From here, it is our job to split this between all account holders- an activity we aim to complete 48 hours of receipt of the payment. There are, however, some instances where this can be take a little longer and, for this reason, we allow for a 10 day Service Level Agreement to complete before launching a full investigation into why they have not yet been paid.
I sympathise with any frustrations you may have and I can only hope you have not been inconvenienced. If you would like any further information on this, please don't hesitate to get back in touch. Speedy Gonzales hopeless Barclays.....still no dividend payment showing in my shares a/c....
guys anyone else in the Friday club or am I the only plonker who bothered to reply ???
I say 2.07 if oil is at the same price point by Friday and if Iran are implicated in a further tanker attack and if oil hits $70 then £2.40
I notice, from an earlier auto email, that Andrew Benbow is in The Far East today doing investor roadshows.
I wonder if anyone is sniffing around Genel? I wonder what prompted buy back change of mind from Higgs?- just the undervalued sp- or anything else?
H -
The timing of the buyback RNS today is a helluva coincidence given GKP's announcement of similar at their AGM on Friday.
Just spoke to Barclays, they're saying within 10 working days ...... jokers
Right finally HL have sorted it...
I think we`ll see quite a few divi re-investment trades today...Driven by the buy back news...I`d emailed Andrew..This was his very quick response:
Hi XXXXX,
I have asked Company Secretary to look into this as a matter of urgency. We have certainly transferred all funds, so not sure why there is any block.
Andrew
ps Hopefully there will be much more of a rise to come!
My dividend was late as well. Only arrived in my Hargreaves Lansdown account today. Just reinvested it - 3373 shares @ 186.40. If it had arrived yesterday when it was supposed to I could have got in around 175! Nevermind, these prices will be a distant memory soon so all is good. Holding 83,673 shares for at least the next two years.
****ed off with Barclays because my div should have been re-invested yesterday and now I have no idea when they are going to re-invest, but I'm def out of pocket considering todays rise. Just spoken to them and they say it could be up to 10 days .
Barclays still owe me
My divi just appeared in my x-o account at the end of play today.
I wish- No I have some RBSBs too, which came in today as well, but I thought i`d buy Genel with the proceeds...as they are so cheap!!
Just spoken to HL who say they havn`t received divi from GENL- Funny how my 3 other providers have.
Blimey you must be holding best part of £400,000 of shares.....or moe.
Well done Matey.....
Hawkey
Re-invested £16k so far- just missing HL...which is only a small amount but...Why the delay?
Anyone using Barclays got the Divi paid in yet?
Thanks, all. Just checked, it’s been deposited into II account.
Yes Justin - it's in my ii account.
For the record, I use Barclays (not so) smart investor and nothing has appeared yet today.
JustinD - I use ii, will keep a check.
If this was doing ‘badly’ I’d expect about 190-195, the current share price is bordering on something is really wrong
Why though Boyobach, what justifies this terrible performance? Nothing has changed except more cash and higher production?
It's certainly having a bad day Leem1,
Slightly pedantic but when Brent was last at $60, G actually fell to 167 (12th June).
Still, at $65 Brent G should be at least 195 and more typically 205 - so, yes, pretty dreadful!
Oil up, ftse up and this down 3%, wtf? This hasn’t risen a single percent with the oil rise either
So oil has gained $5 and this has now gained nothing as a result? What is wrong with this share, seriously?
