Let’s hope. Lots of money falling off other shares today and markets generally struggling so great to see this up and we might see some cash flow this way.
@samolly did you watch the interview? DB literally said nothing about the UK market - it's clearly not where the money is to be made for them. Much better to go to India and Africa and get the big orders there, it's also where GDR's first class test is far more needed imo
@bigbemch... ditto... and given the simplicity, which always wins... markets where there is low cost state input into medical etc.. will take up the easiest diagnostics test with the highest accuracy esp one that can be stored across the temperature spectrum.
DB didnt say a great deal about the usa side of it.. looking for a distributor... cytvia will have plenty on their books imo.
the firms he mentioned in south east asia, one of them was a 12 or 13 billion co... from what i remember.
all imo...
After watching the interview I'm even more minded not to sell any shares yet...... £3-£4 will be here very soon...
Great summary Scart, thank you
For those that haven't had time to watch it, here's my brief summary of DB’s interview for the Genedrive® 96 SARS-CoV-2 Kit
IN THE LAB
- Open platform, can be used on the existing installed base for GDR to sell on
- ~100 patients in ~1.5hrs
USPs
- Currently labs spend a lot of time making up tests and there is higher chance of user error
- Final format test, no requirement to mix, 1-step process. Patient sample added to 3mm bead, sample dissolves and then put into platform to get test.
- Bead is stabilised in solid form, so doesn’t require refrigeration or cooling to keep ingredients fresh.
- Can be shipped by UPS, DHL overnight to be with people by 9am
SALES
- Sales recorded in June is a realistic timeframe
- Focussed on US, India, Africa. Driven by where we have distribution partners but also aligns with where countries have a lack of good/sufficient tests
- Currently dispatching kits to distributors/customers to give them a hands on experience ahead of orders
- Main route to market is via distributors
DIAGNOSTICS
- Great to see importance of diagnostics finally recognised
- 70% of all medical procedures founded on having a diagnostic test
- Lots of room in the world for a variety of tests and variety of end users
APPROVALS
- Having gone through WHO process for HCV-ID, hopeful that it puts them in a positive position going forward for future opportunities, as they’ve already attended/reviwed facilities and QA
PROGRESS
- It’s been an incredible 2 months
- Concept to CE marking product in 8 weeks (normally take 1 - 1.5years)
- No doubt an incredible couple of months ahead
1.91 to sell...
Of course the UK market is important but its relatively tiny compared with the aforementioned target markets
190 open, strong day ahead
@plantpower the U.K. is hard work, genedrive have distributors in other territories with larger test demands so I suspect it’s simply what markets represent the easiest sales
Fantastic, UK would be great but foreign shores is where the big bucks will be made. verybhappy holding here long term
Morning all - great potential here.
Why no mention of UK? Thoughts?
PP
Global distribution partners ...Pacific Asia, Africa....wow....and India....that's about 4billion people
Excellent interview.... Calm, measured, confident..... A few world first product... The scan for baby deafness should unpin the current Mcap let alone all the rest of our product line... Every hospital in every country needs a few of them!
I always thought a 300m market cap was achievable, after watching the interview this morning i am thinking 300m is still very cheap. new long term target for me is a 450m market cap.
Basically £10 a share. if you think i am ramping go look at the market caps of others in this sector.
I still can’t phantom “incredible 2 months of us”, WOW WOW WOW!!!
Great interview. He’s very clear and description of products was really good. Also impressed they did all this development in n 8 weeks true testimony to the company.
I’d imagine sky interview will be similar to this but most importantly it will be seen by a bigger audience.
Exciting few weeks ahead
Let’s hope the exact same gets said in sky today and this will hopefully go big.
And GDR is valued at £77M at close of play yesterday. There is some serious catching up to do compared to our peers valuation. NYCT profit takers will be flooding in here
Great interview, esp the diff between gdr and other covid tests.
Its so simple a kit to administer why bother with anyone else's test kits, it cn be shipped by existing logistic.
Imo.
Enjoyed the restaurant example. Couldn’t explain simpler than that
With this interview, and this market cap, I expect fireworks today and in the coming weeks. Expecting a 3 bagger from here, fingers crossed I get my wish
Morning all. Enjoyed listening to that interview very much. Liked the USP bit and the Freudian slip where he said they were targeting the 'end of the world.. er ..year'
Distribution already in Asia Pacific, India and Africa via their existing distributors. Guys this is going to be huge in terms of sales
Great interview. Wished Andrew asked DB about the manufacturing - 10k/hr - 24/7 or how many hours?
