Hi Ivanaclue,
Ah right, many thanks !!
When you wrote no, but it will give one HELL of a boost to the numbers" ;)
I thought you were saying no, Private Healthcare does not receive the $120 reimbursement, until the Biden Stimulus package is signed., but it will give one HELL of a boost to the numbers" ;)
Thanks for the explanation !!
BigAl, allow me to elaborate
"I am pretty sure that USA Private Healthcare do not need to wait for the Biden Stimulus Package to be signed to receive their $120 Reimbursement Rate per Covid Test ?! "
What I fully should have said is "No I agree they don't but it will give one HELL of a boost to the numbers" ;)
Hi Ihavenaclue,
Thanks for your reply.
Can I ask what makes you think that the reimbursement rate of £120 per Covid Test does not currently apply ?
I have just listened to the David Budd interview with Katie of Proactive investments, and David said that the current reimbursement rate per Covid Tests stands at $100 - $120 per Test !! ? He also Said that most of Healthcare in America is Private, unlike the UK !!
BigAl, no but it will give one HELL of a boost to numbers though :)
Nice to see !!!

They are aiming to pass the bill before 14th March to avoid ending unemployment benefits. Trump also signed 27 Dec last minuite aswell. So we should know something by 13th March, $50 billion just for testing.

You're absolutely right, it was agreed with the advisors that 52bn was needed to cover present and future testing scenarios, my figure was just an example. Out of the 52bn if we take a minor percentage it will shoot this SP to the stars.
All in BC's outreach, links, expertise and sales. I really hope they're quick! There's quite a few testers out there all trying for the U.S and Europe.
We have India not to forget.
Let's hope Mr Bag-ya the commercial sales dude from BC contacts India counterparts lol

Mafs, a lot of the $1.9t is made up of the cheques that will be distributed. It is the $52b figure for testing that BC (GDR) will be wanting a nice slice of.
Inphobe, yes once you work out the numbers, even conservatively, you do realise what he meant by "material and significant" and especially to GDRs market cap, and you do start calling yourself a ramper.
Here's to disgusting amounts of gravy to drown out the less optimistic (shorters) amongst us :)
Republicans are quite strongly against as you can imagine. 1.9 trillion or so is the package which is the biggest in American history.
If there's only 0.01% of $1.9 trillion for testing it equates to about $190,000,000 million.
Imagine BC do amazing in the U.S with the GDR sales bearing in mind BC's machines are widely used and therefore most common in labs, we will take a hefty slice of the market and the market for testing is humongous even with vaccines especially as they don't all protect against every strain.
The market share is there to be taken by GDR.
Come on BC!! Get those sales incentives in! Give the team a trip to Vegas or whatever it takes lol

ihavenoclue I wouldn't like to speculate, but I'd obviously like David Budd's 'material' to mean DISGUSTING amounts of gravy. I suppose that would be considered ramping, so best not! Not 1.14 anyway :)
Inphobe
Thats what is getting me really excited too, multi billion dollar company wont be happy making couple million revenue from test they will be looking big..
How long did it take to get your test results ?
Hi InPhone, would you care to put a number on the 'gravy' ? :)
Maestro1. Agree. And I think the president of Beckman Coulter's post indicates he's excited. If they can sell into the labs servicing the big chains like CVS, Walgreen, we're in gravy. Holding these shares tight.
Inphobe
With all the biomek i7s being sold, the salemans will be offering the pcr test also which will make it easier for testers.
Ignore the couple of pence up and down im confident large contract around the corner...
$135, recently took one to get back to the UK. PCR via one of the big chains, CVS pharmacy.
Usa far better mkt for us, wholesalers are selling test for $25 and the testers charge $100.
Usa for a developed country are far behind in testing they will need more tests...
It will pass that is certain, republicans just having hissy fit..
50bn is set aside for testin.. massive amount, beckman wont be lookin for bread crumbs..
Senate debate starting now. Not expecting a rapid outcome given the pit of unredeemable vipery that constitutes the republican party. Having said that, hope and expect Democrats to hold together and pass it in due course.
Schumer just wrapped up his intro by saying "no matter how long it takes, the senate will stay in session and pass this bill"
