Flyingmachine - I would be surprised if Magsy was invested in GDR given his/her negative view on the company.
The suicide Monday squad are out in force lol
Wonderful! That wasn't hard was it!
Because I believe I will make profit from remaining invested.
Next?
Magsy, tell us why you stay invested in GDR?
"I think people generally agree that displacing existing products is generally a challenge"
Yeah I agree. Whilst the GDR test might be a bit easier to use compared with existing tests, im not sure thats enough to find it a place in the market. I think there is a market for saliva tests that will provide a result in 10 minutes.
Will governments to be rushing to replace their current nasal tests with another nasal test? Sorry but im not convinced.
I think people generally agree that displacing existing products is generally a challenge. I think the hope has been that the existing products out there wouldn't be able to meet the demand required and as such new products would be able to get their foot in the door in order to meet that demand. I guess another thing with time passing is that all the existing products have more time to scale up production which might limit our chances even more.
Fingers crossed.
>Not sure but I guess with the quality of the product I was hoping that it would exceed expectations in terms of sales and interest and that clearly hasn't been the case else we would have had some news before now.
As I see it..
adv
-The product is a freeze-dried pellet that can use many proprietary machines, as I understand.
- It is more stable therefore more easily exported.
- It saves lab technicians time therefore more samples can be tested
- Demand increasing globally esp USA
dis
- It's not first to market in europe, governments seem to be happy with the inaccuracies of antibody testing. As a good friend once said. "since when did the government care about the people it governs?"
- demand decreasing in europe
- product doesn't yet have approval anywhere else where demand is growning- yet. The havent bothered looking into approval for south america, as of presentation mid-june.
- The window of opportunity is always closing as time passes, but at the same time the window is still getting larger.
Agreed Punter, I'd expect some level of market penetration in CE mark territories by now.
Given, they may have multiple ongoing conversations in the later stages, we simply do not know.
Do believe sales will come, matter of when not if. I just hope DB's 'Substantial sales' is in the 10s of millions.
I have no doubt that we have one oft the best products out there, I just don't know how much it really seems to be mattering in practice. Look at the ICMR, they have validated nearly 60 PCR tests, which is a lot to choose from. Maybe India have already backed their horses and have the processes in place to deal with the shortcomings of products compared to ours. If they have something which they perceive to be working, maybe there isn't sufficient motivation to change things.
Not sure but I guess with the quality of the product I was hoping that it would exceed expectations in terms of sales and interest and that clearly hasn't been the case else we would have had some news before now.
Thepunter1.. yes that is my view too. The gold standard test and no orders from european countries to be worth reporting in an rns. They have made a great product no doubt but clearly sales wise they are at the beginning trying to convince people to use their product instead of others who already had a test out. So shareholders will be waiting longer. It's a shame the Fda approval hasnt turned up either as there was an opportunity where tests badly needed but alas that testing market will be hard to break into.
I'm sure gdr will get sales but it will be harder than was to be believed in actually obtaining the quantity of sales people thought they would get. Price target £2 - £3 now as fallen too far to e hitting £4 in the short term unless a MM spike.
Whats all the excitement with FDA and WHO accreditations? If the test is so amazing why have they not secured any sales in Europe with the CE mark?
Go back to slide 11 of DBs presentation, check the column title (Current / Distribution Agreements) for the table, we are only now waiting for WHO EUA and FDA EUA... Sales information coming soon
