Newtofo - Thanks for the link to the Delineation Program EMP - that's just what I was looking for. 4 pads with 3 wells each located on each side of the Amungee NW-1H and a little south of the highway - it looks to be about a 300 sq km area?
WetWater -- here is the link below to Origin's latest EMP for the Pilot Production proposal. The map locations for up to four well pads is indicated very early in the overall submission -- which as usual is very detailed and thorough.

There does seem to be continued confusion amongst shareholders on this board as to who does what in the Beetaloo Basin. The Origin/FOG wells have been contracted out to Schlumberger. Investors should appreciate too that the strategic decision by POQ and the Board to sell on 'the FOG' royalty has brought in the Sheffield family and with it the appointment of Tom Layman to the FOG board, who is now sharing a lot of his knowledge and experience derived from working with lead companies in the US over the past 30 years. Layman's ability to direct the partners on a new strategic path is already clear and no doubt has influenced other players like Santos, EEG and TBN. In due course Tom's coming on board and the full support of the Sheffield family, will help POQ and our Chairman Joe Nally, to get the FOG message across to investors.
Once and for all people investing in this company and reading this board ought to understand that what Origin has brought us is inter alia a lot of valuable skills on how to deal equitably with all the stakeholders in the Territory, and fly the Australian flag for all and provide the clout to get us preferential treatment when dealing with third parties like Schlumberger.
It's nice to see Mr Newtofo becoming increasingly excited by some of the numbers. He's right of course and so are some on this board who have bought a few more shares this week and pushed the price up a little to more than 9 pence.
'404'd'
Origins EMP - 'ORI11-1: Amungee NW Delineation Program EP98 Environment Management Plan' has been 404's on the NTG site. I can't find it. I'm sure this was the EMP that Unlock the Gates to impoverishment said was the pilot production project in disguise
Newtofo - Thanks for the clarification. Do you have a link to the EMP for the Pilot Production area. I seem I recall they were planning on drilling abut 3-4 wells per pad? If so, are we are talking about 3 pads? I am also assuming these pads will be along the Carpenteria Hwy - likely east of the current planned wells?
I hope that Origin will swallow a little bit of their pride and hire some experienced personnel to assist in the drilling/completing of the next two wells and along with the pilot wells. IMO, Origin has relinquished what should have been their leadership position in the Beetaloo to that of playing second fiddle. I'm getting frustrated with their apparent lack of leadership - I feel that Origin is dragging their feet/drilling schedules intentionally so that the other contractors in the Beetaloo can show them the way and prove up the fracking/completion techniques to follow. Probably smart when you don't have the personnel/experience to take that lead - hopefully Sheffield's people can assist if Origin will pay attention.
As to the Green People - would they rather the pilot wells be flared for extended periods of time - these people are grasping at straws here. If the pilot program flared all that gas they would rigger - now that it might be captured/compressed and put in a pipeline they still complain about all the climate damage. These guys are not doing themselves any favors by talking out of both sides of their mouth.
Correction on estimate of the proposed Pilot Production total area versus the total area covered by all three permits.
When looking at the first set of drawings on the EMP for the Pilot production -- the area covered by the Pilot production proposal is closer to 1/50th of the total area for all three permits and not 1/100th of the total area as first mentioned.
However, the initial area covered (shown with a yellow lined box on the first set of drawings on the EMP) is not reflective of a full production operation!! The Pilot Production proposal that covers approximately 1/50th of the total three permitted area would eventually have many more horizontals than just the 10 horizontals shown to completely drain as much shale gas as possible from that area shown in the yellow lined box.
Nice to see Lock the Gate doing some "free promotional work" on our behalf, as any publicity about the Beetaloo at this stage will help get the Falcon story out to more prospective buyers IMHO.
Even with just 10 wells drilled from two well pads for the Pilot Production phase -- just look at the potential yearly cash flow to Origin and Falcon. If we estimate a total of 10 Pilot horizontals at 3 km in length -- flowing a minimum of 10 mm cu.ft./day per horizontal well -- that is a nice round 100 mm cu. ft./day at the relatively high Aussie domestic price range. When 100 mm cu.ft./day is multiplied by 365 days in a year -- it starts to look quite promising for just a tiny 1/100th of the total area of Falcon's Vekerri B shale across all three permits.
Who knows except Origin, FOG and the NTG but either way FOG is now heading decisively in the right direction
For the Lock the Gate green dreamers:
Obviously it is better to flare the gas during the 12 wells production test?
'beneficially utilised onsite for power generation or external sale'
If this is true and we cannot be absolutely certain that this is the intention of Origin (ie to sell gas for commercial use) then Falcon will become both an explorer and a producer.....
Origin Energy’s latest Northern Territory drilling application shows the fracking company is attempting to covertly produce gas for commercial sale from a so-called exploratory project.
Last month, Origin Energy submitted an Environmental Management Plan for 12 new frack wells on Amungee Mungee Station near Daly Waters.
"Despite claiming the project is “exploratory”, a closer examination of the EMP reveals Origin is proposing to produce, use, and potentially sell gas from its project to the McArthur River Pipeline, which supplies Glencore's McArthur River zinc and lead mine.
On page 43 of its EMP, Origin states, “Where possible (and authorised under the Petroleum Act), hydrocarbons may be beneficially utilised onsite for power generation or external sale... In such a case, hydrocarbons may be processed onsite through simple compression and dehydration and piped to the adjacent MacArthur River Pipeline.”
Hannah Ekin from Arid Lands Environment Centre said Origin Energy was trying to pursue production by stealth, which would subvert Fracking Inquiry recommendations requiring additional research and environmental controls to be in place before production commenced in the Territory.
“There are serious questions about the lawfulness of Origin Energy seeking to produce and sell gas under an exploration permit - this seems to be an attempt at production by stealth,” she said.
“This huge proposal to frack 12 new wells and operate them for at least three years and sell off the gas, before Fracking Inquiry recommendations about gas production have been implemented, is a serious risk to the Territory, our water resources, and the climate.
“The Fracking Inquiry specifically raised concerns about exploration creep – production masquerading as exploration to enable the industry to expand without the proper regulations being in place - so it’s very disturbing to see it playing out now” (see p413 of Final Report).”
