I am not invested in FJET. I sold out a couple of years ago with a modest profit on a rare spike. I have got a wee soft spot for the company and do check the board from time to time to see how things are progressing. Good to see some healthier news and the SP has risen from circa 15p to todays levels. I hope this continues and that the company goes from strength to strength.
First time I’ve read fastjet results that have not been worse than expected. For me the main thing is that they are still on track to “achieve a cashflow break-even position for the final quarter of 2017” Passenger numbers averaging 45,139 per month which is significantly lower than a couple of years ago, however I expect to keep climbing. Average load factor of 65% which is relatively poor, however I would expect load factor is currently higher as these average figures include beginning of year when most flights were on A319. Share price now up 36% so far this year. There must now be plenty of investors sitting on a healthy profit - look forward to some more rises next week!
now showing on Destinations list with Flag on first page but not on Map just yet showing Airports being serviced.
RSA government today announced a further material bail out of SAA. So no change there it would seem.
Agree, the further share issue and dilution was.not.anticipated given indications made earlier. I cant help thinking that Solenta would pounce on any positive opportunity to buy the.company. 3-routes.ex.JNB to,Maputo, Beira ,.Nampula/ Pemba have potential, but Mozambique not the.easiest market in which to operate,.
An improvement but still huge loss and again share holders will be hit Lack of detail about expansion in either Tanzania or Zimbabwe No cash flow projections for the next 12 months
Sept 29 (Reuters) African budget airline Fastjet Plc said on Friday it would raise not less than $44 million, in part through a placing, to fund expansion in South Africa and Mozambique. Fastjet plans an accelerated bookbuild to raise gross cash proceeds of $28 million and would sell 60 million shares to Solenta Aviation Holdings Limited to raise $16.2 million. The company also said that it had entered into a brand licence agreement with privately-held Federal Airlines and Solenta Aviation Mozambique Ltd. ...

From where we were to where we are now its nothing short of a quality management team. Well done. Onwards and upwards.
The news is out in the form of two RNS
Early leak of news... : http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/business/international-business/fastjet-announces-proposed-fundraising-by-way-of-accelerated-book-build-to-raise-at-least-44-mln/articleshow/60881149.cms
I probably won’t get to see them until they’ve been out for a few hours as I’ll be working. However, I’m remaining hopeful that Nico can deliver. Personally, I’ll be judging him on being able to deliver on his repeated assertion “fastjet aims to achieve a cashflow break-even position for the final quarter of 2017” - there should be a reference to this one way or another in the results. Also need to see significantly reduced costs. Will be interesting to see passenger numbers and see how they compare to the last couple of years prior to his restructuring and fleet change. I’m still disappointed that Nico hasn’t taken the decision to release passenger numbers on a monthly basis, however, all will be laid bare later today!
Usually not a good sign; we will have to see what emerges tomorrow
No RNS with the results and a trading update very last minute again
Companies like ATMA will play a part in our long awaited success....... @2.75p one to watch. http://atlasmara.com
That's a joke! Consultant on how to destroy shareholders value
A consultant in how not to run an airline and destroy share holder value with no sense of responsibility

I Think it was more of an expectation rather than a promise
but in Q4 should have cash that is what they promised
Rufiji wrong assumption Hope FJET is not issuing tickets on credit to Zim ministers and civil servants Not a chance we have a cash flow problem highlighted in the accounts they would not consider credit
SAA have announced significant cutbacks in schedules to West Africa, DRC and Uganda amongst other destinations. Doubt if this is an opportunity for FJET , more an illustration that a blanket coverage of Africa makes no economic sense. SAA also revealed that the government of Zimbabwe ( and Nigeria and Angola) owed it substantial sums of money. Hope FJET is not issuing tickets on credit to Zim ministers and civil servants
It seems odd , since the flights have been available again it seems there is a nearly 3 week difference between the HRE-LUN flight to the LUN-HRE. I fail to see how you can take someone there but not bring them back ?
