Bob Hi, just used Google so now I know,
"Thunbergia alata, commonly called black-eyed Susan vine, is a herbaceous perennial climbing plant species in the family Acanthaceae. It is native to Eastern Africa, and has been naturalized in other parts of the world."
The yellow flower with black center looks nice?
Not too busy, had a nice hour or so,plants are in fed the koi carp, might hav a couple of rum and cokes later.Lots more to do in garden tommorow,if weather permits.....and a bit of dealing of course.
Sorry Bob, Only just seen your reply, I have taken the driving seat out of Becky's car to try and mend one of the seat springs, as when I sit in it I can feel some metal bar or other digging in my lower back and it did not use to be like that, something has gone twang?
Sure has been a great day weather-wise, forgive me but what sort of plant is a black-eyed Susie? not very green-fingered myself..
last week good luck
Bob Hi,
All I said was this - " Not long to go now as Bob would say" - That was not a nasty comment, I was saying not long to go now as Bob would say, it is a true statement, not long to go now, as Bob would say,
It was not YOU saying it, .... I said it, but just using your past expression!
nothing nasty implied in that line.
How was the garden center Bob, busy?
It was good,I visit most days,I had a lovely black eyed susie, and a new steel watering can.what you been up to.
Just replying to your 14-58 post
Hi, Bob, what do you mean? what's wrong? How was the garden center?
Good afternoon to you Pete,
The people of Hunstanton have a beach do they not and they did have a pier as well up till 1978 when the storms destroyed it.
So people are mad enough to travel from one seaside town to another how very odd.
I remember seeing the Film Barnacle Bill 1957 with Alec Guinness which was the last Ealing comedy to be made, it was shot at Hunstanton Pier and the film shots of a lovely old town in the background made me go and visit, I was slightly disappointed as the camera angle must have given the old town more character in the film.
Good luck to you Pete.
All the best
Ian
Thought we were pals now
Ian, good afternoon to you. The beaches are apparently the same here in Norfolk. For us it’s ppl from the midlands, especially at Hunstanton. I really don’t understand the way their minds work I really don’t.
Enjoy the rest of the days sunshine and I’ve made sure that I’ve got a nice large bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for this week. Good luck to us all during what will undoubtedly be a very bot filled week. Keep a sense of humour if you can everyone, Pete
felixstowe sea front is just the same as any other hot sunny day , no one seems to care anymore or take it seriously . bad times , you cant fix stupid though .
I dare say our coastline covering Scarborough, Whitby etc will be exactly the same. It’s like the TT races up near me as I’m just a couple of miles from the Derbyshire border where the Peak District starts. So many Lives have been lost on our windy roads.
Hi Ryan, yes according to the evening echo it is as you say packed like sardines, stupid lot, car parks are closed, toilets non-existant, I saw in the paper People are pooping on newly reopened England beaches, lovely people, some have come from up north to down here to see the sea, absolute madness...
Good Afternoon Ian. Is that beach near you packed like Sardines.
It’s going to be a nerve racking but exciting week ahead.
Off swimming in the local lake with my Choccy Labrador to cool off. ( What’s a sxxthole I live in eh!!! )
Roll on tomorrow
GLA Ryan
Was it, Colonel Mustard in the drawing-room, or Professor Plum.
All joking aside, someone asked me the other day why I was not worried about this current situation and I replied why would I be, and stated the word I would use to describe my current state of mind was 'Intrigued' by the current situation, and no more,
Well, various parts may be starting to fall into place, joining the dots as it were, and hats off to 'Wittering' for the start of a good theory compounded by a great followup post from ' GoodFlyingDuck' on why it could all fit together, thanks also to 'Drunkinftl' for a link to the particular bit of interest, this is all supposition of course with no proof but never the less an interesting hypothesis.
We all believe we will not delist and this could be a valid reason for our future.
I urge you all to review the postings of Wittering and GoodFlyingDuck, as this may well be the missing clue to our puzzle, and my intrigue, you never know this may be the missing connection, come Friday we will know more I'm sure.
Not long to go now as Bob would say...
Off out into the lovely sunshine, enjoy the rest of Today everyone....
