"For Mevalone alone, European and US markets are roughly the same- around €101mln and €95mln (US$109mln and US$102mln) respectively, translating to around €3mln of sales in each jurisdiction (slightly less in the US) per year for Eden’s range of products at an estimated 40% margin."
AA said Mevalone sales are close to $US 3m for 2023.
That's before any substantial US sales - tbe major market of California only recently gained dapproval.
Tbe broker forecasts look to be unduly pessimistic
Have been covered with biggies. www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/1037879/gsk-m-s-glencore-and-eden-research-what-brokers-said-today-1037879.html
I've watched / followed Eden for approx 20 years so I am very familiar with the business potential - and also with how long everything can take. I've invested in the past though mainly 'out' of the share over the past 5-10 years (but not now). The way I see things now, the business is well-funded and it has reached a point where investors can be far more confident than ever before of achieving long term success. I anticipate it might well continue to be slow progress at first but Eden is now an excellent 'long term' value play IMO. More cautious investors than myself might still choose to wait a season or two to see how the revenue sales figures Mevalone, Cedroz and Ecovelex products ramp up, but I think they surely will as new geographies and label extensions take effect (it's a numbers game, stupid!). And with news of the insecticide product still awaited the current SP should mean we have already seen the long term bottom.
Few are aware of the stringent and long procedures to get a crop protection product approved in California. The guidance notes for pesticide registrants alone is a huge document.
I have seen comments about approval being overdue which is NOT the case. The procedures take time as the company has oft stated.
The huge step of approval for Mevalone to be used in California has now been given.

Ay long last ! Another significant step forward for the business which ought to increase revenue forecasts for the current year.

I just spotted that the rns on 30 Jan '22 announcing home use in Italy (Mevalone) includes usage against powdery mildew and yet we are told usage against that disease requires a label extension for the crop sector markets. How does that square...?
An excellent message from Corteva which also contains a retiring scarecrow/Ecovelex

Got a Mention in the Mail today
Eden Research is another innovative UK firm whose shares have motored in recent months, rising 60 per cent to 5.85p since Midas recommended them this summer.
The performance reflects a step-change in this business, which makes pesticides that help crops to grow without harming the environment.
This market is expected to be worth almost £8 billion by 2025, amid increasing concern about the impact of chemical insecticides on consumer health.
Eden works with some of the giants in the industry and only last week announced new approvals for a seed protection product developed with Corteva, one of the largest agricultural firms in the world.
More good news is expected in 2024 and Eden shares should respond.

Corteva Agriscience and Eden Research are pleased to announce temporary approval for use in Italy, according to Reg. EU/1107/2009, of Ecovelex™ 2023 as a repellent treatment against birds for maize seed, for the 2024 growing season. Eden is an AIM listed company that develops and provides sustainable solutions for crop protection, animal health and consumer products.
Developed by Corteva and Eden over the past three years, Ecovelex 2023 is a novelty in the seed treatment market and is intended to replace traditional chemicals banned in Europe and the UK. It was designed to safely counter the destruction of crops caused by birds, one of the main causes of crop loss for maize and other plant species.
Ecovelex 2023 works by creating an unpleasant smell and taste that keeps birds away, leaving the seeds safely intact and the birds unaltered and free to find alternative food sources.
Eden's latest presentation referred to the addressable markets for the seed repellent at euros 40m euros EU/UK (current) and 95m (future), plus future US @ 240m. Does anyone have a good idea of what is meant by the "future"? I am guessing that in the EU/UK it coincides with total phase out of the banned chemicals in next 3 growing seasons. Thoughts?
BTW - anyone know how to use ADVFN properly. I signed up but I find it impossible to use as I get almost constant ads popping up which redirect me away from the chat board (perhaps a reflection of the quality of my output....!?). It doesn't work through Ghostery which I use for this site without any issues with ads.
It’s all Greek to me!!
🤣
Nice early approval for once, now let's see some sales

October interview
https://european-seed.com/2023/10/interview-with-leonardo-costa-the-new-emea-sat-leader-for-corteva/
Today Leonardo Costa is quoted in RNS
Leonardo Costa, EMEA Seed Applied Technologies Leader at Corteva Agriscience, said, "We are pleased to announce that farmers in Italy will have the opportunity to use maize seed that has been treated with Ecovelex to help control the damage frequently caused by birds. Ecovelex is a safe, effective and sustainable alternative to conventional crop protection products. Every year, farmers face heavy losses caused by birds, and recent regulatory changes have meant that the conventional approaches to combating crop damage are no longer available.
"This represents a huge step forward in sustainable plant chemistry. Eden's team has done an excellent job of helping us tackle one of the tremendous challenges faced by today's farmers, and we look forward to expanding upon this work in the future."
