If you’re a trader and you see better short term opportunities elsewhere then you’ll likely exit here and go there before potentially returning here.
That’s what this recent update did, it pointed to end of Q1 into Q2 as the earliest point in which we’ll see any sort of meaningful catalyst. Bit disappointing.
And I don’t think anyone sensible would argue DKL is worth 8p til there’s evidence of the cashew business reaching profitability.
Why would you sell any? Apparently they are worth 8p according to a reputable broker … and it’s also the Chinese number for luck!
Id we now see a sale of 549791 we will know Lincoln has sold his holding.....
Seriously can we stop all the backbiting.
Could I have your full name SideshowB I want to look you up on Oxford Uni LinkedIn?.I see you have a Double First in the English language 😏
Well I won't apologise to you if it goes to zero because... I'm not ruling it out! I think we only disagree over why DKL are where they are - for me equal parts significant operational failures and the market being rotten right now, for you a laundry list which includes lack of commitment to buy shares, lack of incentives, lack of effort to put things right, lack of effort in terms of communication etc
And I fully understand why we have different levels of animosity towards the management, I'm sure mine would be like yours if i'd been here not one year but ten. So I get it!
Sideshows has spammed this comment on SIX threads and apologised haha.Nurse!
Harchris I accept I come across as bitter and angry but actually am philosophical about it. I can inform you I have two close friends who post here who have suffered more than me. My posts are o by words here and I bear you no ill will whatsoever. I got partially stop lossed at 1.5p but if DKL goes your way I will recover at least some of my losses. You really do remind me of some of the stuff I used to post here but I had the full DKL treatment. I will be happy to apologise to you on here if we see 3p again not to mind 3.5p. I just think it is o ly fair to reflect my own experiences here regardless if I stymy my own SP recovery .
Ha re your 0p before 3.5p well i'm betting on the latter by holding at this point but I don't doubt there's a chance it goes to zero. We will indeed see in time and probably both be still here posting either way - bookmarked!
Actually I relented and took part in the 2019 placing haha. I am as sorry j/k as my pocket. Actually it was that apart my best investment advice to myself. :)
Hi Lincoln! Glad you have joined us! We need some impartial views!
To be honest go with most of those lines and I'll have no answer, I'm only responding from the pov of what should be done at this point. Historically this is a s***show and we all know it, the share price doesn't lie. Obviously those like myself that joined later are only interested in whether things can improve or not, I'm hoping so but i'm obviously not certain!
History shows a string of incompetence and the share price recognises that. I'm hoping to be the lucky one to catch the wave back up but of course that's scant reward for those with an average much higher.
About 7-8 years ago, Fk1 said he would not buy any more shares here until it was back above 17p - I, and others, would be somewhat richer had we taken heed of that advice.
I have numerous lines of attack Harchris which you may describe as rubbish but the evidence is there from these specialists in failure. A mill in Ghana, nurseries, 3rd commodity, RSPO, cashew nuts, pricing, mill capacity, dog ate my homework updates, Puff pieces, Gok wanning of the SP and RNS. Attempts to fo the market in rns, sitting on bad news instead if releasing it, extraction rates , high season extended to January then lately no longer includes January while you are Mr Micawber waiting on something to turn up. We'll best of luck in that. I have been waiting 10 years for something to turn up.
I don't agree re buying shares particularly but I hope they buy some. I might start trying to contact the directors, have you ever contacted them?
Actually your biggie is a great big nothing burger Harchris. The BoD don't care what you or I think. Evidence of that is it was raised not only on here but personally at AzgMs by diverse individuals about issuing shares in lieu of payment causing dilution which is something they have remained wedded to. A vote of confidence according to Lincoln don't you know? Wheres your evidence that if they bought now then sold at 3.5p it would cause a sell off? The share would at least have momentum and investors could make a decision whether to hang on for further gains. What could anyone do if they did sell anyway? Vote them out? We can't do that now. Why would we do it if they had a modicum of success making the price rise 300% from an ATL. The truth is they do t believe Lincolns lies but are happy to go along with it to keep the plates spinning. I can assure you of one thing Harchris this is heading to 0p quicker than ever reaching 3.5p. Bookmark it!
I continue to simply think you have rubbish lines of attack / solutions to the problems. Other than that we are in full agreement re operational failure over the years.
You are entitled to your opinion Harchris, ludicrous as it is to me but as you are fond of argumentum ad populum by your theory I am surprised any director buys shares in their company lest they sell later. The SP was at 2p when I said your posts sound like a mouthpiece for the board. Now it is 1.25p (and falling like my name) and the stuff you trot out seemingly in their defence is actually midblowing to me. However as a veteran of such exchanges on these boards let the SP be the ultimate arbiter between us. I say we are going go to hell in a handcraft under these incompetents. We shall see.
Yeah they are a couple of sizeable sells
Nope, but I am saying there are tons of reasons why they wouldn’t buy even though they might believe the share price will soon be higher. Here’s another and it’s a biggie…
We’ve seen what posters are like in regards to a lack of buying. Can you imagine how up in arms people would be if they then started selling in six months time at 3.5p? It would also cause a sell off.
So it’s not realistic for them to have everything in this company as directors and then be forced to hold long term. Sure a few small token buys perhaps but I would imagine people would complain at the size if they were to do that.
It’s not as simple as you’re stating and they are at least holding their 20%+ of the company rather than selling.
Not sure if the previous two were ghost ones but we seem to have an iteration of dumper dude back. 🤔 or maybe Lincoln can reassure us it is just a fund liquidating its position and we well be in Lincoln speak 2p soon (which translate to .6p in real money). Caveat emptor!
So the whole cabal are going through the above situations precluding at least one of them from buying? Come on HarChris. The only divorce here is you from reality if you really posit such a theory!
Well there's a possible answer, they don't really believe it's going to go to 3.5p or have their doubts.
Or they have expensive divorces so their salaries are spoken for already
Or they've racked up gambling debts elsewhere and need to pay those off
Or they have an ill child with considerable health costs
There are many reasons why they wouldn't increase their substantial holding even further, there are far better and more legitimate lines of attack than this one.
HarChris, in January 2019 - the last time the board put their hands in their pockets - they also said, and I believe this is a direct quote, "the board could see a lot of value at 3.5p"
That's why it's surprising they aren't buying more at 1.2p
They didn't say it will definitely go to 3.5p, just that they can see it getting back to 3.5p. Obviously some things are also out of their hands so nothing is guaranteed, having 100% of one's wealth in a company is never smart even fi you're running it - I hope you don't have 100% of your wealth in here either Fk?
How much does the BOD currently own anyway? There's a limit to what they will be able to hold (30%) so I wouldn't imagine they could pile all of their wages in now anyway. Would a few small buys temporarily boost sentiment a bit? Yeah probably so wouldn't be against it.
You can't. They are a cabal with no price for failure except for us long suffering investors.
