Think both 1m transactions were sales, salary write down at end of week.
Well Colour I do think that you are wrong. INDORE is a contract and attracting attention which I should imagine was due to its last upgrade to IoT capable, with security built in and fast roll out. Sounds like the Thailand interest was as a result of INDORE and other internal states like I believe Bangalore are looking. I suppose we could translate 'small project' as Pilot for India and usually Pilots stick if successful. It is now a matter of wait and see. The upside is that if it takes off it could well be massive.
DYOR all, because CC could well take off but bottom line is we are on AIM so the risk is there.
tonyj, I have some time so WILL SPELL IT OUT AGAIN. My view is CC will win small, niche, contracts with EESL and others. It won't run into 10's of Millions of end points, CC need to crack many more countries to become a solvent company. Indore maybe based on RF, but don't tell me you think it has 'taken off' on such a small project.
Well ITT, that just goes to show what I have been saying all along.
I think JC probably sees the problem as well, he forecast costs without declaring on a monthly basis. There is now obviously some income from old Connode contracts, leasings, maintenance etc. Does not matter how much but it comes off of monthly expenditure, which is now working downwards anyway towards £375k. You cannot just have one side of an equation.
DYOR
No, Colour, I am not going down that avenue again. For somebody who supposedly owns CC shares you have constantly rubbished them, said they are doomed to failure. Why we shall never know, apart from previous losses.
Forget nit picking to take us off the scent. Do you think INDORE has a chance of great success after having the recent write ups especially by the Indore Utility itself.
Reasonable question what do you think of CC's prospects following INDORE and what you think of CC's association with EESL.
DYOR.
From The link provided by Vascular is appears that 0.4% of the Indian electric meter population is now smart (approx 1m out of 250m).
Meanwhile in the UK 8% of the gas & electric meter population is now SMETS2 (approx 4m out of 50m).
This morning's 1m sell and buy are irrelevant (IMO). Today's collapse in the SP is just recognising that another £500K of cash has been blown.
Sorry, what do you mean by 'take off' ?
One has to wonder why that 1,000,000 buy was delayed, surely it would have pushed the SP up.
Fishy.
Hello Colour.. Don't be so evasive, Mysore has not been mentioned lately, agreed, but when it was first mentioned it was under the earlier design but was nevertheless praised by Indian Government.
I know that you don't like talking about INDORE but do you agree that it has been very successful, is now being installed by the 1,000's every week, is stated to be saving a lot of money and above all is RF based, which I think you said would not take off.
Would you also agree that INDORE is being visited by many States of India and by other countries.
DYOR.
You, and others, haven't mentioned CESC Mysore for months now. That was always the glowing reference point that had visits from everyone looking for a few days out, and it was going to be replicated around the world. Then, when nothing moves, just in time, Indore arrives lol.
It's EESL's 10th Birthday today, they cover all their achievements with real enthusiasm in various reports. The highlight so far has been the 10's or 100's of Millions of lighting installs across India. Remember when JC had his little dial in Cambridge and could turn the lights up and down in a street in India or China? Well, that's sorted. They went for replacing bulbs with LED and didn't need all the nonsense JC thought they did. It may be they told him what they wanted, and several placings later, CC made it. So far, everything is pointing that same way with Smart Meter world in India. DYOR, NLN.
Thanks for that Vas.. One or two observations, last year when I was talking to an Indian magazine they said that there would be fees for a publication, so I expect all publications are not independent. This one covers state by state but of course INDORE is only one City in Madhya Pradesh. It would appear that the Smart (or dumb) that Colour was always on about was not successful and that INDORE is only one professing savings. So why did not the publication highlight this fact when we hear that other States and Countries are visiting this 'showcase'. We know in this respect that India is slow off the mark but they have seen a result in large savings in INDORE that EESL and Government are pleased with. Saving money is all that the Discoms are interested in, INDORE is leading the way in regards to cleanliness etc and are pushy so will most likely be visited in the coming months many times. DYOR
Thanks Vas, it kind of says it all. Modi has, supposedly, got this market into gear and everything is moving so fast. The best commitment level from one Indian state scores 3.53 out of 10. Only 3 get over 3 points, and the other 25 are nowhere. Not sure what the value is in the report anyway, but it shows how up for the task India are.
It's the most recent I can find ( December 19) that is independent but uses goverment stats. There's a bit of analysis also.
