'MR MARKET' will quote you a price each day. It could be at a bargain or overpriced. The price will reflect value over time. You dont have to "swing the bat at every pitch" as the Sage of Omaha said
Devilbhoy
Thats how i would want it to be. Overvalued and undervalued. Thats how you make money ( or even lose it)
'Mr Market' will
There are many relevant variables. My point is trying to justify a valuation based solely on other companies having a similar number of shares in issue is ridiculous. As ridiculous as using a company like 88E which is objectively ludicrously overvalued and therefore an anomaly rather than a company by which to benchmark valuations is.
how about debt devilbhoy
is that relevant when comparing companies?
or tax regime, production levels, jurisdiction, reserves
when is a benchmark valid?
I can only assume you don’t understand how a share price valuation is arrived at. The number of shares issued is irrelevant when comparing entirely different companies.
I'll make it very simple for you joey= unless you have a time machine then it's impossible for you to 'know' it won't go over 1p on re-list.... duuuur
Joey, you are deluded and people need to be dismissive of your comments.
The mechanics of the market in Canada are very different to the U.K. market, but you know all this from your in depth research and knowledge of the markets.
For you to say you know it will not open above 1p, what is that based on.? the Canadian market.? Oh dear, the more you post the more you prove how deluded you are.
From an investment perspective, I am not really too bothered what the opening SP is, could be anything, but various models predict 1p to 1.5p. The key consideration is where will it be in 6 months, 12 months, 18 months.
I am not sure why I am bothering to educate you, as you clearly believe you know more than any other poster on this board.
I would say good luck to you with your investment principles, but you clearly don’t have any. So I hope you do not lose too much money.
Septemember relist it is then as i stated 5 months ago when some were saying wks ! The mind boggles
Massiveray - please explain why that’s a stupid statement
Legin - look at the price in Canada, that says it all. We’ll be lucky if this opens above 0.70p
Mannnan - if the sp doesn’t matter then why does everyone on here go on about it?
"I just 'know' it won't open over 1p"
Dose it matter?
I saw some share can. Rise. Significantly.
Good point!
"So at the end of the day we are all gamblers and no one knows what’s going to happen here, I just know it’s not going to open up over 1p".
2 statements that couldn't be more contradicting.
1) No one knows what's going to happen here
2) I just know it's not going to open up above 1p
According to your own statement, no you don't "know" that...
Joey, you might be a gambler, I am certainly not.
To say you know it will not open above 1p is ridiculous.
Not sure who you are trying to convince with your posts, quite possibly just yourself.
Good luck, but as you are not offering the group much other than ridicule, you are now filtered.
"I just 'know' it won't open over 1p"
What a stupid statement!
Bigbear - how’s that then? How did the low sp help them rerate?
Lb28 - only got screwed on wres and maybe here. I hold a lot more than two different shares, most of them on the ftse 100. I just gamble a little on penny shares here and there. Sometimes you can make a killing out of it some times a loss. I made a fortune in the Falkland oil rush, 10 years or so ago and on ggp. But also made losses on companies like this who never get relisted again. We all made that gamble when we left our money in this. So at the end of the day we are all gamblers and no one knows what’s going to happen here, I just know it’s not going to open up over 1p
PREM and 88 e have similar shares in issue to COPL if anything the perceived lower sp has helped the re rate.
Are you watching 88e. It can rise significantly without consolidation.
Wow could be a lot of rich people here over the next few months.
330,000 !!!!!
200k for moi
Yeah, they wouldn't be here if this was a duffer.
There'll be more arriving soon, multiple ID's telling us how rubbish the BOD are, Oil price will inevitably tank, Africa is unsafe, can't be trusted. Why?
To entice a mass sell off on relisting, allowing low re-entry for their pay masters.
To then probably trade it in between good news rises.
Every good share board gets this unwanted attention.
Good thing is they are pizz poor at it and are easily identified.
Joey and LB are examples of how poor they are, will always tell you they are invested, but invariably hold sweet FA.
The filter button is your friend.I
GLALTH.
.
My guess is looking to buy on relist so trying and failing to dampen sentiment.
The time for loading up on the cheap has passed them by.
