Hmmm. Not sure I like the sound of that... he’s re-financing, or trying to.
Thanks for posting, Caw

Would normally agree Sub.
But Essar are driving the bus now. They want a return even more than we do. Their fuse right now must be on the verge of going "off"
Been watching these videos for last 4 years what can I say, excuse after excuses.
Next RNS: “The meeting f2f has happened but due to Covid, the right shade of ink is scares in Nigeria and until we dont get the said Ink the papers cannot be singed, but we will update the market once the right stationary is available in Q3 2020”
This is very plausible with COPL!
I admit you may have something there.
However from what I undérstand Nigeria is open with care. So with goodwill on all sides the F2F could be much sooner than we imagine
Most def.the reason Frabo. Its not its not about conspiracy theories or brown envelopes but well established legal practice.
Reason for f2f meeting is probably for wet ink signatures, even in the UK you can’t apply for a goods vehicle operating license without wet ink signatures, I’m sure all relevant parties want to witness any signing!?
I disagree... I don’t think it’s about brown envelopes... this is about power and authority. One lot saying to the other... we’re the fakin daddies and you will do as you’re told... this is as much about governance and marketing. Pictures, press and political ratings!! They couldn’t care less about anything else!!!
I'm sure they know all about Zoom etc.
It's common knowledge that Nigeria needs the Revenue So in practice the F2F is not really a game changer.
The only reason for a F2F concerns envelopes. It's up to Essar to find their own workaround. The sooner the better for all concerned
Tiburn - after agreement all we need is permits and then we under starters orders!
It’s what I was thinking Yact, as the second wave kicks in around the world, they will see time is money and hopefully say that a face to face meeting is not required and hand over the brown envelope the next time you are over.
Hopefully NNPC will see the delay a F2F meeting will cause and will be desperate enough for revenue to sign this off on zoom.
I thought it was a good interview and explained a lot for me on background, much needed.
Key for me is they have planned the drill already, may have identified the rig and all contractors
Essar are itching to get on with it, Nigeria needs it to happen, the potential of it not happening wasn't said as even a consideration.
Chance to top u down here and make some money, its at least 3 or 4 bags worth on back to back news coming
PSR
drill news and schedule
It all just comes down to one meeting now
Come on!!
Quite a bold statement Bezzy, considering the global pandemic and much, much worse to come.
Dow hundreds of points down.
If we can get the PSC agreement sharpish, it could work in our favour as there will be lots and lots of shares at bargain basement.
That's just scare-mongering bull!
Just seen on CNN, most USA investors are now expecting a similar stock market crash that of 1987 and some are saying it will be as bad as the 1929 crash.
Agree baserite, would be a great surprise and a SP buster
DOW is approaching a 900 point drop today on top of it drops this week as yanks continue to panic re covid.
Oil going down as are oil stocks. If thinking about topping up then I would wait as see this SP going lower again now........FFS!!
China really has f00ked us all. Depressing
Once again also AM mentioned how cheap it was at the present to secure rigs, services etc in the petrochem industry .Still think he may deliver a curve ball soon re.another asset fully owned by Copl-ther must be opportunities around a go go.
All good and the point I would like to add, Art says it is going to be a 2hr meeting.
Just a matter of sitting down and signing agreements.
Essar are very keen as they have gone from a minority holder to a majority one.
I think it’s a given it will happen.Sounds like Essar not to keen or possibly able to travel at mo due to Covid but it appears very much still onside and committed to project .AM looked and sounded a little weary with it all and frustrated but who wouldn’t be.Certainly now is not the time to give away your shares at this bargain bucket level -quite the opposite imo -add if you have the funds-we are now definitely in the final furlong.
