Ps - definitely agree with getting Art a new suit. I’ve told my fellow investors many times, the bloke needs to look the part of a CEO.
Dressing well is a form of good manners.
N-O-N I think Art is a chevvy kind of guy.
I know what you mean - a black convertible Bentley with a linen interior would be high on my shopping list...we can all dream, lol
Right with you buddy
I keep finding myself looking at auto trader and not for the worthless type of car sat on my driveway now :-)
This is a great board to be part of - long may it continue
Shaa
If we hit £15 + I am sure we all could chip in and get Arthur a brand new yellow chevvy
Evening folks,
I hope you are well.
I’ve had a busy few days but catching up on most of the LSE boards this evening. My homework and research confirms that the numbers look good and realistic even with variables unknown. However, my prudent side states that we still need a CPR to confirm the potential recovery rates. On top of this, hopefully Nigeria OPl226 is yet to come so it’s certainly going to be an exciting year as that will propel the SP once the value is unlocked.
Working in a global and independent independent financial background, a potential value needs an independent report so hopefully the CPR will confirm what Art states.
Regardless of one’s views on this, we are still very much undervalued given the rising price of oil and with our stable cost structure, thus achieving economies of scale on our new discovery.
My advice, buy, hold and leave it in!
All the best,
Your local accountant.
AJEP, I wish you luck. If the discovery is per the RNS this will probably be progressed by a JV or a buyout. A buyout would leave the vast bulk of the upside with the purchaser but could lead to a swift profit for shareholders. I have invested in a number of oil companies in the past. Discovery is one thing commercial extraction in a timely manner is another. The NPV is very much based on the oil price but also the rate of extraction (time value of money). Thus if a large company had the cash to swiftly install the 150 wells the value is magnified by the swifter payback. Interesting times but actually I don't care I just want to make some money. GLA
Sageman, your 0.36% holding is impressive! It makes my 0.148% holding seem very insignificant :-)
Better to appear poor and be rich than vice versa. I will take substance rather than show every time. Art wear what you want but We could buy you a pen....
If the SP is right I will buy him a Versace suit myself TradingLad
Thank god for that Sageman , I have leveraged big time with .41% (38p) so I would like to de risk at some point ...
If a take over is possible then that price would (assuming broadly accurate reporting and CPR confirms) be reached sooner rather than later.
Good luck one and all - hard earned money for the chance of something better (including paying for the petrol at the pumps coming soon we may need £22 per share ;-)
one thing is for sure, once this share price does begin to turn, I'm starting a "just-giving" page and we are all going to fund Art getting a new suit so the man can at least look like he might know what he's doing on camera.
Haha I know TheAccountant… I’ll ask him to provide some wise words ;)
AJEP I am also from a financial background and have done similar figures albeit based on 1/3rd being recoverable. Either way this sp should multi bag from here. We need a CPR and people to start trusting. I ask myself what the reaction would be if share coin Sanderson at UKOG similarly hit oil. UKOG have had endless dilution (like here) and Sanderson has lied "the train is leaving the station". I suspect initially there would be disbelief and people running for the exit having held big loses for a long time. At the very least people would need a lot of convincing. and evidence from 3rd party due diligence. For my part I have taken the view that the discovery is the truth and that the evidence will follow and along with it the cash flown and a substantial re-rate. Time will tell but fingers crossed I now hold 0.36% of the company.
Better read a threepenny novel Big Bear.
£23.24
You can even write it on the back of a fag packet :-)
Enjoy the ride
New note 23 pound 16 a share BigBear2. From bolton anyway lol
The old report has 80p target pre discovery . Can someone post the new note done just after the discovery announcement in Jan?
Like your style Island,
but i suspect that if you are in charge of the sounds at the party,
we will have to have ambulances lined up outside the venue because some of us more mature posters
may get carried away a bit after a few bevvies,
and need carting away afterwards LOL.
COPL looking perky on the US OTC market tonight - currently up 9.5% - average daily volume there is usually around just 16k but today's volume is 36.6K and rising.
Imagine if coupled with the Canadian market that the US market starts to pick up there. We really will be seeing £1 in front of the current SP if the yanks start showing more interest!
seem to remember we have around 6 lth's on here that are , one of which is
called THEACCOUNTANT lol
I seel the one called, "The'. ;-)
All good fun..
I am an accountant and the numbers look good.
What would, top it off would be an accountant coming on a saying all the numbers look good....
