I've made another small top up, probably means 2.5p next lol... just awat drilling results and hold.
Selling at 3.5p was great and then re-enter again but crystal balls aren't on sale around here ;)
I'm not sure if I would call theses big drops good days lol but know what you mean about using to top up and hold
Hi Alwaysone
I first entered a 1.56 in May, I think. Been topping up all way. Bought another 100k today across PP, SSAS and isa
Dips like this are good days. Just use slices off my gains from PRE
OK, thanks for explaining Carribean2029. I hadn't realised you had held so long. Patience as you say and top up if the price drifts ....GL
DanielC43R - so you bought back in May when it spiked. I'm holding for long term and like others here, if it dips to 2.8p, I'm going to add yet again . I missed out on AST ( not gold of course) by waiting too long to buy and it's nearly doubled now....just have to buy and be patient
Yeah, I remember ramping topi aswell. He was very persitent :-) I bought in back in Feb, following advice from hopingforbags.... so quite happy to ride the journey
It a slow burn, but getting there.......
I remember that spike very well 5/5/20. That's when I first bought in - on a spike at 3.27p (typical me). A character called topi ramping this like crazy. But despite the subsequent drop and being well underwater saw it as an opportunity to top up and bring average down to 2.1p. Things I like here are low mcap/no.shares (currently), 4 xIOCG targets and main market listing (although not crucial - remembering sxx was main market, painful memory and losses). Could be wrong but it feels like a mini GGP (in there too) albeit 1 or 2 years behind. GLA
Hi Alwaysone,
Back in May there was a placing at 2.25pence. It was done as a bookbuild by Peterhouse and was not underwritten. The market, I seemed to remember, viewed the discrete nature of this as something of a "mates" raise. It subscribed instantly and this gave other investors a lot of confidence in the nature of the "behind closed doors".....people guessed there was something good here. Also the IOCG and ADI funding was mentioned in RNS's, large volumes were traded, hence a short spike. But, as often occurs, if things don't happen instantly, people become impatient. The Just Eat generation want their pizza now. As I said in the summer, as people became impatient, Gold has been in the ground for millions of years; you don't just go and get it out just like pulling a rabbit out of the hat. This is an explorer, and many folk were expecting GGP type returns at the time, and I think it got dragged up with the sector hype.....
That's my brief take
What made the price spike back in May? Mind, drill results imminent and price will fly.
I think the price spiked due to this large order to pay at a premium
...Dibs61 the ask will have been up there at that time it raced away first thing yesterday morning (Tuesday) from just over three ... then dropped back a little later on as it was getting ahead of itself. (That reminds me I must get some work done tomorrow instead of dummy selling the price all day)
You are right though it’s some confidence to shell that sort of money into an early stage miner.
As a few of us were saying on here last week there are a few things that point to the company having a better than good idea of what they expect this will throw up.
From the drilling company from a VERY early point agreeing to being remunerated in shares
The buy at 3.2 a couple of weeks back that was way above the then price.
The quickest ever raise one lunchtime passed off as ‘opportunistic’ at 2.25 so the great and good could build their positions (when the share price in April/May had taken itself off to these sorts of levels and just above that we are at now 3.5/3.6)
The low key no hype presentations... need I go on
.... just hold these things and make money !!!!
Yes Major and they were happy to pay 0.4p above the prevailing ask at the time.
Cobra have prepared thoroughly for this drilling programme identifying pathfinder elements to pinpoint drilling targets allowing for best chance of success.
Someone must have some inclination that the results are good.
No one puts out £110k on possible drill results. Looks very leaky to me.
Think I will double down tommorrow.
MT1
That woke me up,....very nice buy.
BW
Yes, that is a significant buy indeed. Equalling 1.6% of the company in one transaction!
Wonder who it was? Might or might not trigger a TR1 dependent on how much they hold already.
Well that is a very nice delayed buy from yesterday morning. Someone is obviously very confident, as i am, that result will be good. Its not that often that you see people lumping in over 110 grand into a minnow like COBR.
