Might see the Disney share price take a slight hit over the coming days and weeks and movie theatres regaining in status again. If Scarlet wins then expect a whole lot more to follow suit, especially from those accomplished actors and actresses who take part of their earnings based how much the film grosses.
Big plus point will probably be that Jungle Cruise will be the last day and date release off Disney for a while, and until this case has been decided. It might even force Disney to rethink its strategy and focus on picking up a cinema chain or two.
Coverage on all mainstream media in the UK from the BBC to the FT and similar exposure in the USA.
If we see the 70's again tomorrow it wouldn't surprise. Nicer though if we hold onto any gains.
Also the chairman of IMAX is putting the boot into Same day PVOD releases and Disney leaving money on the table by doing so.
Knew I liked scarlet johannson for a reason. Looks to be getting some good coverage too.
The good reviews for Suicide Squad won't hurt either..

Missing out on coveted Chinese cinematic release. Even when China allows foreign movies to be shown. Black Widow will have been pirated all over China, no one will go to the cinemas to watch it. Be interesting to see if Dwayne Johnson sues Disney as well..
That's unbelievable. Just goes to show that the home movie thing isn't for every release. Sometimes it's not about cost cutting or assuming that cinema has no purpose. Things like this happen. I'm sure some of you guys (the knowledgeable movie guys) would have advised against this.
I hope she wins, just to prove the industry wrong
The final nail in the coffin for streaming new films, for a bit of fun guess tomorrow’s close 69.70
Hopefully this news makes more media , I guarantee of cine were being sued for 50m it would make every paper and every news outlet while forcing the S.P down.
Let's hope it does the opposite.
And yes while I say hope it does unfortunately its only hope , any positive news for cine they don't like to report
iTraderx3 I don't blame her, she has lost an eye watering 50 million! I don't think any movie stars will be pleased about Disney streaming. All good for Cinemas though :-)
