Talk of gold flip flops! This is more of the CEY board that I used to know. Loving it! Expecting it!
Done. Feeling quite empowered!
Talk of gold flip flops! This is more of the CEY board that I used to know. Loving it! Expecting it!
Rebess is a much respected very long term holder in CEY. Your tirade does not conform to the quality informed discussions that we private investors have in our investment. Please do not reply to this message, as I don't have anything to say to such a disrespectful poster.
Thank you Dasut.
You have given us the benefit of your past professional experience in the gold mining industry by highlighting some very valid points that some mining investors may not have considered before.
So I wonder why did Paredy get awarded his recent bonus shares?
Fully agree with you Redfish, Rebess, Sotolo and all the other long term holders hare been patently waiting for so long for their £2.00 plus tickets to the golden flip flop party!
I urge everyone to support Cowichan by emailing Alexandra Carse of 'Investor Relations' and also copying in CFO Ross Jerrard and Bobby Morse of Buchanon with a similar request for this information which was after all promised for release in 2018.
Please ensure that your contact details, addreesss and a telephone number are included on the email and please keep a copy of it and any response you may receive.(failure to include your contact details and address will be an excuse for Centamin IR relations not to acknowledge or respond to your enquiry.
We share holders have been patient enough for long enough and Andrew Pardey did state in a telephone conference call that communications with share holders would be improved, sadly this hasn't happened.
If we don't get the 2018 promised information and answers to the other questions then I am of the opinion that a complaint should be put to the the appropriated regulator including copies of any communication that was sent to Centamin investor relations.
Whilst we share holders are keen to support Centamin it is time that management reciprocated and if they don't then I am afraid that we share holders will have no alternative but to ask the regulator to intervene on our behalf.
Tibbs
'Many a true word spoken in jest Rebess!"
The following concerns have not been addressed despite repeated attempts to engage Alexandra Carse of 'Investor Relations' and more recently CFO Ross Jerrard :
1) Why has the Scoping Study for Batie West Project been shelved? It was promised to be released in 2018
2) Why has there not been an updated resource estimate in Burkina Faso despite a vast amount of exploration drilling over numerous years?
3) Why has the Doropo economic feasibility study been delayed? It was promised to be released in October 2019
Releasing this data as promised would have had a significant effect on the share price.
Failure to share this information will be an ongoing concern for both shareholders and regulators alike.

If we get over £2 in the new year I will wear my gold flip-flops - lol
Indeed Sotolo- Tears are an age thing aren't they. - They come far too easily and far too often these days.
If we can hit lower-end of forecast, a task I thoght was impossible after Q3 debacle, I know you were still optimistic based upon 2018 Q4, but if we can, we'll be firing on best coal as the saying goes, a significant boost should follow. - Moreover, if momentum can be carried over into the new trading-year, I can see £2.00 as a result. - As for take-overs after that, bring it on.
Fair comment Dasut. - Indeed, recent comments can be construed in the manner you suggest. - It won't be long before we know. - In the light of what's happening, you would think that senior officials of the company wouldn't dare deliberately mislead. But as far as Centamin is concerned, I make that comment with reservations. - We'll see.
Rebess it brought a tear to my eye too. I often post pessimistic thoughts (hostage to fortune) in the hope I’ll be wrong I’m not sure if this will materialise as a bid from endeavour or another. However what encourages this usual pessimist is Siko’s post on production and Tibbs on Kees Decker, now saying Cey is worth more!!! We could even be better off without a bid...
Hierarch somewhat harsh you must be new to this board and as you will see from my earlier response I am not in total agreement with Rebess but hopefully my response is a little more constructive.
Good luck with your Cey investment
Thanks Tibbs and Prof.
Thanks again guys - Sotolo and Cooperman.
I'm touched actually by the support you have all given me. - It's starting to bring tears to an old-guys eyes. - As you know, playing 'Devils advocat' is very much behind my style of posting. A style I like to feel brings with it a certain entertainment value, adding to the overall contribution of all of the other different styles, if that makes sense. Unfortunately, some of the prophecies behind my advocaacy have been a bit too near the mark. - I'm hoping and praying that on this occasion, when everyones spirits have been uplifted by the recent events, that my prophecies, cynicisms some might say, fall well short of the mark.
Good luck everyone.
Rebess I am not sure I would call it spoofing more naivety and maybe I am not quite so pessimistic as you albeit Youssef does have a track record of repeating what has already been stated at an earlier date, without a double check to ensure the facts are still correct and that they are on track.
This said at the last phone in Jeremy Langford did sound confident that they were on track and if the Happi area is truly where earlier reports suggest being closer to 2 grams per tonne then as I say I am not so pessimistic.
Mr Tibbles your post brought a smile to my face, and I needed it today, well said too. This board feels like my family with whom I may bicker plenty but when push comes to shove we totally stick up for each other. As said before I am far too much into Centamin also having too many Hochschild for family sentimental reasons. The latter have been diabolical with a production warning just like Cey last year, so have made me feel rather miserable and useless, but lovely Cey is making some of it back. I nearly asked you all if I should switch some Hoc to Cey on Fri, wish I had but I promised myself I would stick at 500k cey... I just need a huge bid for Cey
Hierarch,
I would add my voice to the many who have already commented. I am afraid that you are very wide of the mark with regards to Rebess. He has been involved with this BB for many years. While I do not know the weight of his current position, I have never known him to either ramp or deramp; apart from anything else he would not be so naive as to believe words on a BB would move a share price in for a FTSE250 company. HIs words will be recognised by the many on here who have followed Centamin for a number of years on what has been a roller coaster ride. Of late our hopes have frequently been dashed when we thought we were through all the problems. Let us hope that this time we are indeed through them for a while however with a mining company, particularly one operating with a sole mine in Egypt, complacency is not an option.
I do hope that you stay around on this board long enough to realise that it is a very informed and supportive environment. Good luck with your investing.
Best wishes,
Prof
Well said Sotolo!
Hierarch,
Good afternoon, I don't recall seeing many,if any previous post from you so you may not be familiar with the members of this forum.
Rebess is a highly respected member of this forum and a long term holder of Centamin who like many of us realises that his comments on here stand very little chance if any of moving this SP either way
He has over the years though contributed a great deal to the board and been most supportive of other share holders through both the good and the the more trying times!
Best of luck with Centamin and good afternoon.
Hierarch I think very few of us on this board are traders, we are mostly long term owners who occasional add or subtract, and we certainly don't post top affect the share price but to say what we think. This is an exceedingly civilised board where most of us know each other well as the lovely Phil and Lynne and Cowichan point out, so pleas don't insult others in is unkind, unfair moreover pointless. thank you and have a lovely ride
A bit harsh and wide of the mark heirarch. Not a share where the chat that has many rampers
Steady Razor - Don't be overly harsh. - Hierarch might still be in school for all we know. - :-)
If he is, I wish him a long and succesful investing experience. - If he isn't, I still wish him the same.
