LOL @myfirstmillion,
This is the level that the typical delusional ramper is at.
You can tell his hunger by his interviews? You tell 'hunger' by actual progress not by a 10 min interview with Zak Mir. Unfortunately it is from a certain strata of PI that CB finds fertile soil to plant his seed. The type of people who would have been taken in by Joseph Smith would they have been a 19th Century farmer in Utah (look it up). The type of people who you read about sending £50k to some woman in Ukraine that they met on plentyoffish.
What other mining CEO has several AIM companies? I cant think of a single one. Neither can i think of one who, despite already spreading himself thin, goes off on holiday to the Med for the summer and takes a protracted 'break' from his businesses.
CB made his millions back in 2010 with a good copper play. He then spent the rest of his career at the helm of various AIM 'companies'. I use inverted commas because they are more like piggy banks and dont function like normal AIM miners. Dont get me wrong, there are other AIM miners whose fortunes have declined, but they are usually making some sort of effort to move forwards eg Alba Minerals.
Have a look on twitter or back earlier LSE posts. He has been doing this same tactic for years.
All his AIM businesses are significantly down from when he took over, and suffer the same snail place progress. All this against a background of a commodity supercycle. Pretty impressive level of failure!
lol with CB record on BZT the placing might get you 2-4 holes . welldone , SP will be stuck at 0.13-0.15 for ages now.
PP that would be preferable, like what happened at THR.
Magnum you only have to listen to a couple of CB's interviews to know he still has the hunger. He knows Copper (and other metals) will continue to be in demand and with the needs of the green evolution will likely continue to rise.
In my opinion he's positioning BZT to take full advantage of that price environment. He's been around a long time and knows the cyclical nature of resources and mining companies. We are extremely cheap right now for the plethora of assets on our books, that will not last as they get developed with this cash injection.
£1.2m before expenses. So what we looking at £1m?
Personally I think this is a large dilution for not a lot of money. Not sure how long this amount of cash will keep us going.
BZT seriously needs to monetise some of these projects, but I'm not convinced CB has the hunger to move forward with all his businesses at this late stage of his career, which is fair enough, time can't be cheated.
It's not clear to me what the future looks like here, but glad that some new investors have had the confidence to make reasonable buys. I'm still holding but BZT is on my 'amber' list....
PP,
Hopefully the BoD will want a happy AGM on Monday so will issue some decent updates in the couple of trading days - although probably not too juicy as that will lead to more questions and CB will run out of time!
Now that the company is reasonably well funded, it is up to the BoD to keep their promise of early revenue stream from Cyprus and it's up to we shareholders to ensure that they don't take their collective eye off of the ball with development of the other assets.
I'm not too sure that I like the idea of issuing warrants that will result in an additional 10 % dilution, but I guess the £1M that they bring in will be useful to the company. I will need to give it further thought and, probably, some discussion at the AGM before making up my mind as to whether or not to support the motion at the impending GM.
I think you're right Steve, Most peeps 'knew' a placing was imminent and had held off investing as we believed we'd get shares cheaper. Mcap of £6M much too low for the potential here imo. Time will tell...
Pleased its out of the way. Shame it’s at the level we have found ourselves but not a lot that can be done about that. But at least BZT cashed up now ready to drive projects forward - as I’ve always said at this mktcap it only needs one to come off to multibag.
Must admit when we had the little rise I said to a friend I thought it was a precursor to a raise as you quite often see it. Anyhow GL all - hopefully CB can start to deliver shareholder value over the next year or so.
Mr T. From Tuesday
"I see a continued rise here to Friday, slight pullback on Friday, then hopefully the rise to continue early next week."
Today
"Well as expected placing to raise 1.2M oversubscribed, nonetheless dilution!!!"
If you expected a placing why would you possibly think the share price was going to continue to rise?
I'm here because of the potential, but invested today because of the placing. CB said in the 30th September update that funding would be needed, so I was waiting for that to happen.
Looks like the update is starting to bring in decent levels of buys - wonder if it’s the cash in the new bank to fund projects (with inevitable sp drop yo lower level) or update on mank that’s the driver.
We knew the fund raise was coming, it was just the price. I've just added another 7m to my shareholding and look forward to seeing how the development of our range of assets unfolds, particularly Mankayan. gla
Yes, that is why I am here this morning. Placings are necessary to fund exploration, so annoying short-term but can't really move forward without them.
Well as expected placing to raise 1.2M oversubscribed, nonetheless dilution!!!
Good news on the Mankayan project though, now lets get these projects moving.
Mr T
One headache out of the way, cash no longer an issue.
