I never block anyone on a public site. Regardless.
I assume this Avrohom bloke has sold his shares ?
Thank goodness there is a filter button ....you end up with more in there than you do on the page.... jeez
Fleccy,
Where is your sense of humour. It was Captain Mainwaring I was referring to when I said "and unable to accept that the great British Empire was no more. " I was also trying to say that BT's glorious days have long gone. This has nothing to do with Brexit.
I do however find some of your comments rather questionable and even sinister when you start making ridiculous comments like " Avro isn't from the UK. His angst is being expressed through a dislike of anything typically British."
I will admit that I have a slight aversion to investing in some of the previously nationalised companies but those are for good economic reasons. If you have been following Royal Mail you might understand why. It has to do that most of these ex nationalised companies employees think that these companies are not there to provide a service for its customers. Its all about them. That is sadly what is wrong with BT, British Gas, Royal Mail, British Steel etc. Just for your information I do own shares in BP.
Been through it before with BT, and got through it with BT, used to get a bit nervous, and concerned, sold them and bought more, and more and more, all good things come to an end, at least the company are doing something, i am pretty certain its disconcerting and worrying for all the employees at the moment, however none of that is my fault, however I would like to see some positives soon, just got to be patient, the quick buck told you so merchants have had their day with this share, when it rises again, which it will, us long termers will be happy, the SP has been falling for so long I was dreading some hidden bad news, as far as I can see there isn't even a sniff of a rumour as to why its falling so steadily, all the buy outs and poison chat has gone quiet, and it appears its just a natural dislike because its not the dead cert it once was, it will turn round, and I wont be surprised when a dividend cut is announced. It will come back, as it has previously.
Talking about market confidence and share price is total BS. Market don’t think, prices come through a collection of human beings (often herd mentality) and AI trading. This may or may not be relevant to the company’s fundamentals. A sound investor buys at the times of hysteria and sells to the insanity based on their own judgment. Given the BT’s reports and information available publicly, I personally did not think that the last Nov rise to 260ish was an insane price so I did not sell although I could make a good profit. But I do feel 160p is “hysteria”. BT had its ups and downs 80p, 500p and £10. I have a sizeable position and keep buying every now and then until situation becomes clearer.
"unable to accept that the great British Empire was no more. "
I think Avro is now showing us his true feelings, he's come down with a severe case of Brexit stress disorder, resulting in the following symptoms, Brexiety, Brextress, Debrexion and Brexhaustion.
Anyone from the UK would realise that Brexit wasn't about Empire and I therefore have to conclude that Avro isn't from the UK. His angst is being expressed through a dislike of anything typically British. He doesn't like Royal Mail because it has Royal in it, BT because it's British Telecom and British Gas for obvious reasons. Just as well BP isn't called British Petroleum anymore. No doubt he's a big reader of the Guardian and Independent and is possibly a continental European living in the Irish Republic, giving him two reasons to hate the UK. I can't remember, has he used the term Little Englander in previous posts? lol
Whilst you of course are Mr. Positive, care free, loving life and seeing the best in everything.
Hopefully no-one on here is overly dependent on where the BT sp is today, rather they are looking forward to a good dividend payment in a couple of weeks (ie enjoy what’s real, forget paper value look at the hard cash).
Personally, I do have a reasonable holding in BT but in reality if the sp continues to decline short term, c’est la vie, and it’s not going to make any difference to me. I’ve never got round to making any plans for them, I’ve no motivation to sell regardless of price right now and long term whatever comes is upside. That may sound a little ‘complacent’ but frankly it’s not that important in the overall scheme of things that make a difference in life.
What I don’t get is why it should be so important to someone to keep putting other people down, revelling in their perceived mis-fortune and trying to convince people they don’t know that they’re cleverer than them and are right about whatever argument they’re trying to have (?).
I know you haven’t asked for my advice and are unlikely to welcome it but regardless, I’d suggest you might want to think about finding a more meaningful hobby because right now you’re acting like an extremely sad a+s+ole who’s wasting their life away.
IMHO
Talking about analogies.
You are all a load of stuck up Captain Mainwaring's.
Never able to admit making a mistake, and unable to accept that the great British Empire was no more. Some of the guys on here can not admit that BT is no longer the great ICON and is not even a shade of its glorious past.
To be brutally honest BT is going down the plug hole like Royal mail and British Gas.
I am not mentioning any names but I hate being personal but some of the guys on here really take themselves much to seriously.
Have you seen a Psychiatrist? Anyone who goads as much as you do must have serious issues. If DT attempted a takeover, they would have to cough up £4 plus, the market would make sure of that.
You've already proved yourself to be a liar, pretending to invest in BT and not even working out the dividend return correctly.
My advice to you, is this; Go and see a Doctor and ask for treatment for your Histrionic personality disorder.
I don't even believe you have investments in AstraZeneca, Unilever, or Diageo, in fact I suspect you don't invest at all.
It’s you that’s boring (and rather sad).
Poor BT shareholders were sighing with relief. BT looked so promising this morning. It was up nearly 2% it had turned a corner.
Sorry in a earlier post I said that every week BT was reaching a new low. Even I can get it wrong its now every day that BT is reaching a new low.
Guys be big enough to admit that BThas had it. No its not going to go bust any day soon. Its just going to keep on going down until someone like DT is going to take it over for a song.
