Scrap it - just had a look through your posting history - you are one feckep up dude I tell ya. Sell Boo and hire yasel a shrink.
Steve - I suggest you do a course in macroeconomics - you can even do them online these days. That will take the blinkers off your eyes.
Bottmzup - Totally agree with you.
STEVE1964, never mind us `general public` types paying more taxes, what about the Billionaires, fat arsed Bankers, corrupt officials, Govt backed white collar finance criminals, pointless multi millionaire celebrities, and all the other high ranking a**holes who`ve got so much money in offshore accounts that they don`t know what to do with it, some of whom turn to paedophilia to entertain themselves.....maybe they should be made to pay higher taxes to help the worlds communities once in a while.
The top 26 wealthiest people on Earth have more money than the bottom half of the Worlds population, and if they were taxed half of their wealth they would still be the top 26 wealthiest!!!!
How can that be right, the system is f**ked.
It's not just about the rate of pay, for those who have entered the country illegally it is an offence to employ them and it is also a criminal offence for a landlord to rent out housing to anyone who cannot prove they have a right to rent.
Why should there be a minimum wage? It's not Soviet Russia, it's a free market. If you ain't got no marketable skills and you are ready to work for £3 an hour, then why should the government interfere and de-value the salaries of others? Every time minimum wage goes up, it just creates inflationary pressures and devalues the salaries of skilled workers. Well done for spending 10 years getting degrees and professional qualifications - now you're earning less, so that unskilled workers can get paid more. Oh, by the way, you also pay over 50% in taxes to help them out. Where's the ethics in that?
Ironside.....Not saying boo is totally innocent here but was the government turning a blind eye for the sake of 'british manufacturing'
Half right....this is why. UK Govt has a policy of letting illegals in through the back door to savr on political asylum seekers clogging up the system. SO TURNING A BLIND EYE to those that find their way into the country by illegal means. They also turnef a blind eye to the tens of thousands that find their way into cut-price sweat shops also working illegally so as to conveniently allow them to not be included into national figures and welfare seekers. It is a scandal but the investigations going on behind the scenes will cause a lot of heads to roll. Our Govt knows more than it lets on and when the shi t hits the fan many retail outlets will not survive the high cost backlash. The Govt is turning a blind eye to this illicit trade in cheap slave labour. The cheap online bargains will come to an abrupt end. Just putting up the wages alone from 3.50 an hour to £9.35p an hour will almost double the cost and put many illegals out of work and having to declare their existance to claim welfare.
Not good for the retail sector at all.
And in spite of ongoing investigations the Govt wilk still try to white wash over it...just like they are doing with the illegal channel refugees.
You need to think about that and wonder why? Don't think about boo.hoo think about the sh it that goes on behind the scenes.
Ironhide, the governemnt have turned a blind eye for fear of being accused of racism through investiagting ethnically owned businesses and as often is the case being PC is more important than law enforcement - so all will be well in leicester!
This isn’t new news about Leicester or boohoo. It’s PR from ASOS to show they’ve kept their noses clean. That’s why I shared it on the Asos page. Boohoo will be making changes, I have no doubt. And people still buy Nike and nestle and apple so I still maintain that I don’t think sales will be drastically affected.
This is bad.
