To everyone hurting from this please take care and talk to someone if you are struggling.
Thank you to everyone who has posted valuable information over the last couple of years. I don’t post much but I often read.
I have questioned what I should have done differently but given all the positive signals about interferons I would have probably made the same decision. I don’t think we made a bad decision investing here. We wanted to be part of something that would save lives and help in this pandemic and we hoped to make some money in the process. There is no shame in that. We weren’t fooled by a scam. We were just unlucky that the trial didn’t work out. Good luck to all going forwards.
Ideally we should go for the acquisition of a US brand, we have a lot of U.K. brands now. We will be at risk of cannibalising in the U.K. if we buy too many
Also wondering if they should buy a few Bitcoin with some spare cash! Controversial but a lot more operating businesses will be doing this.
Thanks oakleaf this is reassuring. I wonder if he added it recently on linked in as I had checked previously. Good news anyway.
It would be great if they just had brief news items about things like this on their website.
This is just for BC Canada (scroll to page 11) but clearly the number of cases on flights from Delhi shows that the pcr tests before departure from India can’t be all legit. In vancouver you have to have a test on arrival at the airport so they will catch every case early on. It gives an idea as to the likelihood that every flight from Delhi into the U.K. was also carrying variants of covid. People then mix in arrivals halls with people from other locations and staff and it’s easy to get into the community.

I have done my research and had already looked on the website at the list of directors. There isn't a commercial lead. Non-execs are just there on an advisory capacity, they aren't allowed to actually do the work, if they do they are executives. And I did used to run 2 LTD companies at the same time with a combined turnover of £6million for 14 years so I do know what is involved. To say people should leave just because they dare to have questions is just ridiculous.
Agree with Benmm on all points.
I do sometimes wonder if they need to hire someone with experienced commercial nous in the pharma industry. They’ve had £80million, I don’t think shareholders would mind a few grand going to this. And the reason I wonder this is because I don’t see evidence of commercial shrewdness from the limited public communications I have access to. If Synairgen already have this in their team whether that be in RM or elsewhere, it would be helpful for them to communicate that through their news and actions.
I have no doubts about the scientific capabilities of the company. As shareholders we can only judge on what we can see and we don’t have the full picture and that’s why it’s understandable that people may questioning thing to fill the gaps in the information they are given.
