No Halespur ... there is no debt ... there is a debt facility (like a working over-draught) .... as for JSE. I can't see it happening in short order so will likely be a holding 'aspirational' statement or nothing at all.... I rather think when the company gives a timeframe the thing to do is double it and add some for yer granny and that will probably be pretty close.
DD I'm hoping the update includes more than just general information as well.
At least they can make a forward looking statement like JSE listing is going to be on this date which is not market sensitive information as they can control the definitive date.
Obviously other news will be what Vanchem refurbishment involves and what levels of production are likely to be achieved.
I'd hope any BE news and Enerox deal is a separate RNS ideally and hopefully FM has taken the BB's advice on comms.
Will having audited accounts showing a profit and very little debt be something II's might finally look at? The majority of investable companies are borrowing money left, right and centre in comparison.
Give it a rest ffs Daisy you depressing.. person
I would enjoy it more...if I thought that an update was likely to make mich difference to the SP. You cannot withhold market sensitive information. So if there was anything big to be disclosed it wouldn't be waiting for the timed update. So I cant see the operational update moving the SP up. But I do hope I'm wrong!
It is frustrating and at times more than baffling.... but fairly regularly the 'better comms' comments come out (and I certainly would like more selling the big picture).
But perhaps we could just enjoy the past few days of peace and relative quiet - we ain't changing anything so just enjoy the weekend... one day closer to an update !
Agree with all that you say Dav3J. The only point I'd add is that Bushveld, the company, is managed by in the main by South Africans. Not British, not Americans, not Indians etc. They do things their own way. My personal opinion is they are conservative, hard working, determined but perhaps stubborn. There not a Buzz/Social Media Buzz Company that over talk and under deliver. More about results in the long run. I'm not saying their way is the best way but thats how it is.
Regards
Bobby
UK .. I rather pointed that observation out as tongue in cheek ! ... good summary though
Is it really that great a surprise that interest is waning here though? We're all invested to make money, and the only way that we will do that is by the SP appreciating. I have been invested now for over 2 years, and in that time my holding has decreased in value by over 25%, I would have been better off withdrawing the cash and sticking it under my mattress.
The simple and uncomfortable truth is that Bushveld's communications are simply not good enough at getting across their message to investors, if they were then the market would see the enormous potential of the company and invest heavily. Yes we have been subject to manipulation, but this happens all over AIM and it cannot be blamed for everything. Where other AIM listed companies will frequently update investors with relevant news, investor developments and opportunities, we simply put out dry quarterly updates, with next to no news or information in between. I'm sure there is plenty happening, but we never got told any of it.
Being a profitable company isn't enough, investors need to see where the growth is coming from, and more importantly, what scale it is on. We were promised by FM some time back that something was being worked on to address the SP. What is that, and when is it coming?
Last week we were above 15p. Since then there has been no bad news. V prices have take a sharp increase in China, even Largo is up over 10% since last week..... so there in no logic as to why we are now below 14p?? When you look at the trading in the last hour with every buy even a few £20k buys they have dropped the Ask.... pure manipulation which has nothing to do with the fundamentals of the company and what it has achieved and continues to drive going forward.
Its seem the market is more interested in companies who don't make any profit versus a company that continues to make profit and huge future potential....
moan over....
A general comment on the BMN share price, which clearly is below where we think it should be. Some observations.
1.This BB shows that the number of daily comments has gone right down. This is excellent as it means by and large the traders whether long or short have fond new grounds to play, e.g. Avacta.
2.The actual volumes of shares traded in BMN over the last few weeks has been very small. i.e. there have overall been no material excess buys/sellls.
3.There has been no news, which means whn there is news the price adjustment will be much more significant.
4.We are still suffering from the phenomenal increase in shareprice in 2018 on the back of the unrealistic spike in vanadium price that was never going to last. This clearly sucked in many quick buck investors/traders man of whom will be still on the register but are gradually unwinding their position after sitting on substantial losses, i.e. their patience is running out. Luckily this isn't that many as evidenced by the low volume.
5.Currently there are insufficent largescale buyers to outweigh the relatively small time sellers. This could change in a flash.
6. I am sure Faramog will tell me the share price always goes down on good news, and historically that will nearly always be the case where there is a high proportion of traders to investors which has hitherto been the situation as a result of the vanadium price spike. "Buy the Rumour,Sell the News" is the maxim, but this doesn't apply to long term investors.
7. In summary I believe we are moving towards a much more secure shareholder base and that the next move will be significantly upwards.
8. Lastly the share price FWIW is 25% higher than a month ago and 55% higher than two months ago. I can live an incremental share price increase of 25% a month!!!
UKsteveg - that is only the Ferrovanadium price - the Vanadium Pentoxide and even more so the Ammonium Metavanadate prices in China have risen strongly in the last week and Asian Metal shows FeV prices in china already above $30. That website you quoted seems somewhat out of date.
I don't think I have ever read anything positive from UKSteve. I can't for the life of me work out why he bothers to invest here given he is so continually negative about Bushveld.
What about the very simple fact that the price is at a great level for the uptake of VRFB which we are driving... Much better for a blossoming industry than $43, wouldn't you say.
Gambit... correct choice of course:)!
Lucky bugger
Alfa - the current price of $29/kg is about 20% less than it was a year ago. The was around the time Fortune issued his share price movement RNS citing the supply deficit as the reason for the drop. To be completely accurate at the time that RNS was issued the price of vanadium was around $43 I believe. The price dropped rapidly in May but did not drop below $30 until October and has stayed under $30 since then.

UKsteveg - it is a good thing then that Vanadium prices have recently risen to their highest point in a year - that is not exactly stagnation is it ?
When Covid hit an awful lot of people sold out of sold down here, we know where most of the money went. It has not yet recovered from that, and this has not been helped by seemingly the lack of news on any front. We have enduredthe close down and are back at normal operational levels as far as I know. However we are being hampered by the stagnation of the Vanadium price on top of the news vacuum. Sentiment was waning prior to Covid.
I was going to say, that must be a swine to push across the gravel!
The share price is an absolute joke. When covid hit they were quick to move it down however this has not recovered like many other shares.
