Last years trading update was 10 Feb. I’m looking forward to seeing this years in the next few weeks. It’s easy to forget how much progress was actually made last year! If in doubt re watch the interviews from before Xmas
Thousands of companies out there.....what keeps bringing you back here? Have a look at Tesla. Massive losses all the time yet look at its market capitalization.
Been keeping an eye on bird. The company is valued at something like 65 x revenue. Whilst shareholders are optimistic, there is a lot of catching up to do on the fundamentals and bird have to post £7m of revenue to deserve this valuation. They are currently at just over £1m.. The share price dropped to 7p last March, so there is quick exit on bad news. Eagerly awaiting their financial results to see where this will end up. Be good to understand other shareholder opinions out there that are based on some kind of fundamental analysis or insight. Thanks
You will need much more than just luck to get anywhere near your valuation....and yes wish you luck in your alternative investment.
Good luck hoping for a price correction. The CEO hovering up shares at 14p not long ago, and CFO paid 17p recently. Current valuation is pricing in the potential future prospects/earnings. IMHO.DYOR.
Thanks for the insights on this. Clearly true belief in the company and the team.
For me, I'm only an investor. I Look at the revenues, growth and momentum and the share price. And the potential. Looking at the fundamentals, this company needs to be generating £7m in high quality recurring revenue to have this level of valuation and there is a long way to go to get there and probably needs a price correction back to about £16-£20m. So I will pass on this one. Good luck though, hope it all works out.
Need to read between the lines RNS will only provide clues. With companies like Bird you need to live and breathe them and abstract every piece of information and then make a decision based on the past, present and future macro environment. In Birds case OTT services are set to grow. According to the Research Dive report, the global over-the-top (OTT) market was accounted for $110.1 billion in 2018 and is expected to garner $438.5 billion by growing at a healthy growth rate of 19.1% by 2026. Anyone that understands their product will know this is significant. In my opinion Collaboration with Tata Communications will prove humongous in the long term. However what I believe will be even bigger is their capability around Piracy.
What you missed you can't find in any RNS....YET....it calls potential growth...
You can either see that with anticipation, or you can't (fair enough I suppose...)
GL whatever.
I've looked at the RNS, but can't find anything that would justify a market cap for BIRD at 69x revenue. What am I missing? Someone on this board talked about looking at the fundamentals - could be helpful to share their analysis. Most high growth companies (100% year-on-year) would get possibly 12x revenue, but it seen anything like this, so there must be something I've missed. Is it the TATA deal?
This is not a valuation....this is only information given by someone who is no longer holding shares and although it's somewhat true conveniently forgot to mention the recent turnaround with unice technology adopted already by big names and many more to come....
Just read the latest RNS's to get the full information.
ATB.
They've made money by share dilution and rights issue... basically they taped investors for money 4 or 5 times over the years. Got a bad reputation so decided to change the name from Forbidden technology to Blackbird in a rebranding strategy.
I'm new on this board. Bird seems an interesting company and they have an outstanding share price. Can anyone explain to me how the valuation works here. Their revenue for 2019 is £1.08m and the market cap is £69m. Have they grown their revenue this year to £7m. Cant seem to find this information anywhere. Thanks for the help
